The Mansion

"The term palatial gets loosely bandied about, but it literally describes the opulent Mansion, set amid the dazzling green countryside near Ubud, Bali’s cultural heart. Originally built as a private manor, The Mansion consists of a rambling three-story Italianate villa and a constellation of individual residences, each with small, balconied rooms that can be booked separately. All 24 suites are sumptuously finished in teak, brass, and finely carved plaster and are outfitted with contemporary Balinese paintings and gilt Indonesian interpretations of Empire classics. An array of terraces and balconies makes the most of the gorgeous gardens, which twinkle with fountains and pools. The range of amenities is spectacular, including a helipad, a lovely garden-pavilion spa, a billiards room, a personal butler, and transport in a sleek Mercedes limousine. The restaurant is adequate, with a limited menu, but it can prepare a traditional Balinese banquet with only a day’s notice."

Such a shame we paid VIP new years eve and we got a zumba class. We get this for free at the gym and if I wanted to pay for it then I would go. Very disappointing. On a good note the water drums were very good. If you want to spend your new years eve in a zumba class then this is your place to go even if only 6 people on the dance floor. Such a shame for a nice place. Should of stayed at 4 seasons and not believed the advertising.

Stayed here for a night, everything was clean, the staffs were incredibly nice. They had a huge area with so many pools - i lost count. The vibe was great to savor in the morning, and to chill in at night. Would def recommend this place whenever you visit Ubud 👌🏻✨

I’ve had two stays here. It’s hard to explore anywhere else. Wonderful place to stay. Every walking path and space is beautiful. Even when they are booked it remains a private oasis! I lost count of the privately placed pools.

I completed my YTT at House of Om and it was truly an amazing experience. All of the teachers were exceptional and deeply inspiring. Neha, our course lead, brought such beautiful, humble, and warm energy into the class. Vivek made every asana easy to understand and enjoyable. Darshini showed me how fascinating anatomy can be, and Atchu impressed me with his incredible knowledge. The course itself was very well organized and structured, with all information provided in advance. The resort is huge, but the rooms feel quite old and outdated. Unfortunately, there isn’t much proper lighting for studying, except in the dining room, which isn’t really designed for that purpose.

Oh this hotel was our greatest love in this trip!! The territory itself looks like a jungle museum where you want to take a photo everywhere! Rooms are fine, pools are super charming and all the area looks so amazing and mysterious! They have everything you may need for your comfort, as well as super helpful front desk! The only thing we did not like was the variate of the food on the breakfast and they should really work in it. But it was normal, not that bad! Some rooms does not have windows but we cant open them anyways so its fine haha :) Will be back with another group for sure!!!

I see various numbers of reviews about this hotel—All good and mostly bad especially here on Google review. I can offer my view as I’ve spent a night here. 1. Do not expect western standard cleanliness. It’s not managed by any western management (I believe), and it’s a 1-level resorts. You’ll see dirts and small animals which is quite normal in a village area. 2. Breakfast food is good, juices are all fresh! They also have one of the thickest yogurt I’ve ever had. They have various condiments too. 3. Humidity level in the room is pretty high, as long as you keep the aircon on, should be fine 4. There are many pools and ponds, beware of where you’re going. It’s not hard to just follow the designated path and you won’t fall down. 5. If you’re into wellness, you’ll like it here 6. I’m Indonesian who have been living abroad, I feel like home when I’m here! People are nice and kind, if you think they aren’t, just smile first and say “good morning/whatever”. Just a little reminder to not be entitled & to not take people’s kindness for granted. Be kind if you want others to be kind to you.

It was just okay. The first night the air conditioning was broken but the staff did fix it which was great. Unfortunately after the first night of using the bath which was beautiful there wasn’t anymore hot water after that for showers so we only had one day of hot water. The villa room isn’t sealed to the outdoors so it’s easy for bugs to get in. The restaurant for dinner wasn’t that great but it had a great variety for breakfasts. Many pools on the property but not super clean pools and a lot of the loungers were pretty dirty as well. Not walkable at all so you do have to take the shuttle to town. Very picturesque resort and we did get a massage at the spa which was wonderful and we did love that! The pools were cold as well and a lot of the couches outside needed to be cleaned and vacuumed often. Overall I wouldn’t be staying there again.

A true HAVEN The location was perfect for us to go daily to Alchemy and so many restaurants around. The resort is 😍 gorgeous, amazing pool, spacious bedrooms and thoughtful amenities. Thumbs up to the staff there, treated us as their own family. ❤️
