Honest Review from Our Latest Stay at The Marina Hotel The room looked quite run down at first glance, but most of it seemed to be dirt or mould that could easily be cleaned to make a big difference. Unfortunately, it didn’t smell clean when we first walked in, and our feet turned black after walking around without shoes on. The corners and areas behind the door were dirty, as were the light switches. The bed runner was also dirty, stained and had hairs on it, which was unpleasant. The room was freezing, and even with the air conditioner on the so-called setting “4,” it barely made a difference. We’d recommend bringing a small fan heater like we’ve done on previous visits. The room was also very noisy, being right above the coffee shop/bar area, so you could hear people directly below very clearly. So annoying! The room we booked had a very different view to the room we were given, which was disappointing. The balcony’s wooden railing is in poor condition, it’s soft, waterlogged, and appears to be rotting. When you press on it water actually comes out, which raises safety concerns. We were woken up before 7am by workers in the garden trimming plants, again wasn’t appreciated. On a positive note, having a proper doona cover rather than just placing the used doona between two sheets, that was appreciated. Overall, for the $350 price tag, we expected a refreshed and well maintained room, but it’s unfortunately looking more run down with each visit

A very comfortable stay in the spacious room with a wide balcony overlooking the marina. Location is convenient, next to the restaurants, shops at the waterfront.

I thought the hotel was quite nice, but to my surprise, there were several bars downstairs that stayed open until midnight, and it was extremely noisy! It’s suitable for those who enjoy partying, but definitely not for me！Good luck to those who will sleep in room No. 1.

Go there twice a week. Last night the young barmaid who was ment to be a supervisor left me at the till for 5 mins ,came back and told me I could not have another drink . I said I had only had one today not interested i asked to see her supervisor who could clearly see that I wasn't intoxicated. Backing his own staff is great but she should not be a supervisor if she clearly has no idea who's had too much to drink, maybe she doesn't like older people .too young no experience this was at the indy at 8pm on a Tuesday night. Last night .DO BETTER with staff (hungry pete)

Food and drinks very expensive. Thermostat was stuck on 21.5 deg they could not fix it offered us a tiny electric heater. It was cold when we were there did not use the heater they offered looked like a little plastic fire hazard. Room was very nice only had a kettle no toaster or microwave which would have been handy with the price of the food. Example bacon and egg breakfast small burger $28 dollars each. Staff did all they could 👍

We absolutely love this hotel, having it so close to home is such a bonus! The rooms are always spotless, the staff are friendly, and it’s the perfect little escape without needing to travel far. Highly recommend for a staycation or last-minute treat.

Had a very pleasant stay here. Love that the hotel is surrounded by lively pubs have beautiful water views. Perfect for the night out and conveniently heading to bed without having to drive. Very spacious rooms. Only down side was the living room was was too dim. Our room pretty quiet despite all the activity at the surround pubs and restaurants.

Room was excellent reasonably priced but don't eat or drink alcohol there $145 for two small steaks with small prawns and about 15 chips also 2 double jacks $50 bucks

Mindarie Marina tries really hard to be just like Hillarys, but it doesn't quite pull it off. It has a hotel, several food places, like Dome, Boat and The Waterfront as well as a gift store, hairdresser and a photographer's gallery. It just doesn't have enough shops to draw the big crowds. This can be a good thing if you want a quiet meal overlooking the water, but it isn't really a place that you could spend the whole day at.
