24 Best Hotels in Dublin

"Dublin’s Docklands are known as the “Silicon Docks,” with the European headquarters of Facebook, Google, and Airbnb all taking up residence here. The Marker Hotel, a sleek geometric building in the middle of Grand Canal Square, is the district’s unofficial landmark. There’s a hip vibe throughout, from the light-filled lobby to the bedrooms bursting with pops of color. The moodily lit infinity pool is the best in the city, with a eucalyptus-scented steam room. Open seasonally, the rooftop bar has killer views of the city and as far out as the Dublin mountains. Guests have guaranteed access—and you're guaranteed to make friends with the bartenders." - Nicola Brady

The Marker Hotel

"How did it strike you on arrival?Dublin’s Docklands are known as the "Silicon Docks," with the European headquarters of Facebook, Google, and Airbnb all taking up residence here. The Marker Hotel, a sleek geometric building in the middle of Grand Canal Square, is the district’s unofficial landmark. There’s a hip vibe throughout, from the light-filled lobby to the bedrooms bursting with pops of color. You’ll always find some young Dubliners having a drink in the atrium, and on sunny days the rooftop bar is sure to be hopping. Nice. What’s the crowd like?Tech heads (and yes, therefore, the Wi-Fi is super-quick and reliable). Otherwise: young and cool travelers who want first dibs on the rooftop bar. The good stuff: Tell us about your room. With pops of neon green and vivid purple, the rooms are stylish but not overdone—there’s no dizzying palette here. Floor-to-ceiling windows, marble bathrooms stocked with Malin+Goetz toiletries, and bathtubs (as well as showers) round out the offerings. How about other amenities on-site. Anything stand out?The rooftop isn’t only for drinking—it hosts free yoga classes for guests. What about other services and features? The moodily lit infinity pool is the best in the city, with a eucalyptus-scented steam room. Open seasonally, the rooftop bar has killer views of the city and as far out as the Dublin mountains. Guests have guaranteed access—and you're guaranteed to make friends with the bartenders. Bottom line: worth it, and why?If you want to see a different side of the city, or live your very best rooftop life, The Marker is the place to be." - Nicola Brady

"The Marker Hotel There’s a rooftop bar that feels straight out of Miami (albeit a colder, damper Miami), an out-there checkerboard facade, and futuristic interiors like an all-white honeycomb. Needless to say, the Marker is like nothing Dublin had seen before it opened in April 2013. Next door to the Daniel Libeskind–designed Bord Gais Energy Theater in the newly-developed Grand Canal Square, the Marker’s other neighbors include tech companies of every stripe. The surrounding “Silicon Docks” house the European headquarters of Google, Facebook, and Hubspot, among others. The Marker’s general vibe might be unusual, but rooms are of the standard modern sort. Think gray furnishings, with splashes of color, and natural light streaming in from floor-to-ceiling windows. Don’t worry about battling start-up employees for seats in the rooftop bar during happy hour, because the hotel reserves some of the couches for guests."

Had the most incredible weekend here. From the minute I stepped in the doors I was treated amazingly by everyone. The staff were not only professional and polite, but every single person I interacted with was kind and incredibly helpful. A special mention to Derek, a wonderfully kind-hearted man and to Conor, his conversations at breakfast were a joy! The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, from the spa, to the rooms to the gorgeous rooftop bar! There is nothing to fault. Cocktails and food were delicious and the breakfast menu is incredible, with so many dietary requirements catered for. I left the hotel feeling refreshed and so content, this was definitely down to the wonderful staff! I feel like if I had have asked for the moon, they would have tried their best to get it for me. Thank you so much, it was exactly what I needed.

From the moment we stepped onto the rooftop, everything was pure perfection. The views were absolutely breathtaking – a panoramic dreamscape over the city that turns magical at sunset. The ambiance is elegant yet relaxed, making it the perfect spot for a romantic evening or a special celebration. The service was flawless: attentive, friendly, and genuinely warm. Our server made us feel like VIPs the entire evening. The cocktails were world-class – beautifully crafted and bursting with flavor – and the food was just as impressive. Every bite was full of fresh, high-quality ingredients and exquisite taste. Whether you’re a guest at the hotel or just visiting for the evening, the Anantara Rooftop is an absolute must. This was hands down one of the best rooftop experiences we’ve ever had. Can’t wait to return!

Our stay at the Anantara Hotel was spectacular. From the moment we stepped out of the car we we're welcomed 'home.' We arrived hours early to the hotel after traveling for several hours and a 5 hour time change. We were exhausted, but wanted to make the most of the city as soon as possible. Kevin, from guest services, was absolutely amazing! He suggested we get cleaned up in the spa area (since we couldn't get into our room just yet). He was a life saver. A shower and fresh clothes was just what we needed. They took care of our bags and explained everything. Kevin gave us suggestions and truly made our overall stay wonderful, welcoming, and helpful!! He's the absolute best. Eric, the bar manager, was also so sweet and acted like an old friend you've know forever. Batikan did a wonderful job serving us dinner Saturday night at the hotel restaurant - which was divine and highly recommend! We are so appreciative of everyone there and the absolute care and attention to detail. Thank you! :)

Absolutely loved the rooftop of the hotel! The views over Dublin were amazing, especially at sunset. I had a couple of cocktails with some friends and they were amazing. The staff were super friendly, a special thanks to Tugce and Maria for making the experience even more enjoyable. Can’t wait to go back!

We didn't stay at the hotel so I cannot say anything about the hotel but the bar did not impress unfortunately. Except for a nice location it was very average. The cocktails we came for as a part of the Dublin Cocktail Week did not look the same as advertised. If I could rate taste that would be 2* as it felt like multivitamin juice mixed with vodka. The complementary snack was a mix of salted nuts which does not work with such a drink. Would be perfect for a pint of beer though. We also ordered a cup of tea with milk and said right away no sugar. The waiter brought the tea and sugar :D no milk. It was not much of a problem but he already asked what to bring, if he didn't and then brought everything all together it would have been ok. And obviously it was not because it was a busy hour , the place was almost empty. But the location was nice.

A Truly Memorable Stay at Anantara The Marker Dublin From the moment I arrived at Anantara The Marker Dublin, I knew I was in for a special experience—but the team went above and beyond to make it truly unforgettable. The room was elegant and serene, with a stunning view that set the tone for a luxurious and relaxing stay. Breakfast via room service was absolutely divine—beautifully presented and delicious, making each morning feel like a treat. One of the highlights was the spa treatment, which was not only deeply relaxing but delivered with such professionalism and care that my wife was left feeling completely rejuvenated. I’d also love to recognize the incredible staff who made our stay extra special. Kevin from Concierge was consistently warm and helpful. Gabriella and Astrid made our day with a thoughtful and unexpected room upgrade. Sabrina at Reception welcomed us with such grace and kindness. Deveshwar, the Restaurant Supervisor provided exceptional hospitality, and Saurav at the bar crafted an amazing experience. A special thanks to Alam and Raymond from the night staff, who went above and beyond to attend to my children’s little requests with patience and genuine care. Every aspect of our stay felt seamless, thoughtful, and elevated. I would absolutely recommend Anantara The Marker Dublin to anyone looking for a five-star experience wrapped in genuine Irish hospitality.

From the moment we arrived at this stunning rooftop bar in the heart of Dublin (best I have been to yet!), we were welcomed with exceptional service and genuine hospitality. The staff were attentive, friendly, and truly went above and beyond to make our evening feel special (we were celebrating a birthday!).|Beautiful views made for a picture-perfect backdrop to a relaxed and elegant evening. The drinks were just as great—beautifully crafted and full of flavour. I especially recommend the cosmopolitan and the cava, which was delicately flavoured and so refreshing. Stunning views over the water at Grand Canal Dock - we’ll definitely be back!

Such a perfect experience! Lovely comfortable clean room with massive bathroom (perhaps a little in need of some TLC). Roof top garden is highly recommended and look out for Pryia and Ariel the most accommodating and welcoming staff. In particular huge thanks ro Derek - a wealth of experience and clearly hugely passionate about his hosting role. Thank you Derek for your time and for sorting me and my mum with a lift to the train station- so very kind of you! Natasha
