I’m so glad I finally stopped into The Market by Buon Appetite! I’ve lived in San Diego for years and can’t believe I waited this long. The produce is incredibly fresh — it actually looks and tastes real, not the overly packaged stuff you see at most grocery stores. They also have an amazing selection of cheeses, fresh pastas, sauces, and quality meats, all at great prices. You can really tell everything is chosen with care. The Market has officially become my go-to San Diego market for weekly grocery shopping and for anyone who values fresh, local ingredients. Highly recommend stopping by — you’ll be so glad you did!

We have been 9 months in Mexico on a sailboat, we just arrived to San Diego downtown during the king protests and to say we were overwhelmed was an understatement. After we checked into our Residence Inn we looked for a quick stop for groceries. The Market was our first stop. We met the owners, and enjoyed picking the freshest looking items which the store had many of! We had such a pleasant shop, and have filled our fridge with the best snack lunch foods for our brief stay here. Thank you!

this place would be cute if the staff wasn’t so nasty and didn’t act like doing their job was an inconvenience. if they are having a conversation with someone they will ignore you to continue talking while you’re on line, no one says anything like hello or how are you, they point to the tap to pay. i come in here weekly and no more LOL not a fan of being miserable to people paying $20 for bag of chips at your overpriced gentrified market

GREAT little market/deli in Little Italy, lots of noodles, wine, all sorts of sauces, produce, great tasting and good looking italian cookies and other pretty sweets and treats, great place for dinner fixings, a romantic picnic, gifts! Saturday is the farmers market and lots of great restaurants are nearby!!!!

Love the store here! They got everything you need: beer, wine, cheese, fruits and stuff. Definitely will check out this place again before leaving San Diego!

Nice selection of food. We were staying at a hotel close and needed some fruit , veggies, cheese, and crackers. And lots of booze

Bought some fabulous lunchmeat and cheeses with GF crackers. However, kept ringing the bell to buy a coffee, and no one ever came.
