Absolutely fantastic find. Around the corner from the shops, at the end of the Royal Crescent we found this amazing pub. Everything on the menu is locally sourced, and detailed on the back of the menu.
The seating is cosy, but the room big enough to host loads of people. It’s seemingly popular with families, and pet owners - dogs are welcome too.
We had a selection of starters, all of which were fresh and delicious. The pakoras delicately spiced, the arancini light and fluffy and the Camembert rich and filling with enough for four of us. The main courses were elevated staples - the fish is fresh in a light, non greasy batter and the burgers cooked perfectly - thick, juicy and covered in great cheese, thick bacon and served with perfect thin fries - again, no grease, crispy outside and fluffy inside. These things feel simple but they’re often hard to do right.
Layer on top fantastically attentive staff and a great drink selection, and we left bowled over at how reasonably priced the five star food and service was. We’ll be back the next time we’re in bath!
