The Marmorosch Bucharest, Autograph Collection (Bucharest, Romania) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Set in a 19th-century bank building, the Marmorosch Bucharest, Autograph Collection is a love letter to the Belle Époque, its interiors paying generous tribute to both Art Deco and Art Nouveau, interpreted through the lens of contemporary luxury hospitality. The rooms mix modern comforts with varying degrees of grand period architecture, culminating in the wood-paneled Marmorosch Palace Suite. There’s a subterranean spa hewn from dark stone, and the restaurant, Blank, is named for one of the partners in the original Marmorosch-Blank banking concern. The Blank Bar & Lounge is a vast and ornate space that feels like the center of Bucharest society, while the Vault is more private but no less atmospheric." - Tablet Hotels

The hotel is gorgeous. My husband and I stayed for a few nights this December and were greeted with exceptional service. The room was ready way in advance, which was great. The only issue is that there was some hairs left in the sink from a prior guest. The breakfast spread was amazing. Decor for holidays is so lovely and the location is great for being central to everything. Room service was timely and friendly. Overall, good stay and we’d be back our next time in Bucharest.

We stayed at The Marmorosch Hotel in Bucharest about a 6 days, around the holiday season. The hotel has a very big name, and many people come just to take photos next to it because of the decorations. People even walk inside the hotel as if it were a museum, which completely ruins the privacy of the guests staying there. It felt uncomfortable and not private at all. Another disappointing point was the room itself. Considering it was Christmas and New Year season, there was absolutely nothing in the room that reflected the holiday spirit. Nothing made you feel like you were staying there during a festive period. Breakfast was another letdown. It costs £25 per person, and every day it was exactly the same food — very boring and not worth the price at all. During the same trip, we stayed at other hotels that were much better, more organized, more beautiful, and more luxurious. Unfortunately, compared to them, this hotel did not meet expectations. Overall, I would rate this hotel 4 out of 10.

Absolutely loved my stay at The Marmorosch Bucharest. This hotel strikes the perfect balance between historic elegance and modern luxury. The building itself is stunning, and you truly feel the character and history the moment you walk in. The room was immaculate, quiet, and very comfortable with high-end finishes throughout. The bed was excellent, and everything felt thoughtfully designed. Service was outstanding from start to finish—professional, warm, and genuinely helpful without being overbearing. The location is ideal for exploring the city. You’re within easy walking distance of Old Town, great restaurants, cafés, and major sights, yet the hotel still feels like a calm retreat after a long day. Overall, this was a five-star experience across the board. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bucharest, whether for business or leisure.

Excellent hotel located in the Bucharest old town. +: Historical building (old bank) which was really nicely renovated +/-: Great breakfast (21€ if prepaid, 26€ walk-in) with à la carte options, live omelette station and a buffet ; underwhelming tea selection. Served until 11, 11:30 am at weekends. +: Nice spa with sauna, Hammam and pool with massage jet and co; open daily from 9 am to 9 pm. +: The vault bar is worth a try if you fancy a drink on-site. +: Smart TV with chromecasting features.

This is, without a doubt, the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The building is a former bank and is so beautifully restored it takes your breath away! The lobby and bar are open and grand yet still manage to be intimate and friendly. I highly recommend enjoying cocktails in the vault bar, which is open Monday-Saturday evenings. The rooms are immaculately clean and beautifully presented. In my opinion though, the thing that makes this hotel truly outstanding is the staff, particularly the concierge and bar staff. They are helping, attentive, knowledge and were definitely very forgiving of 4 old gits who had never been to Romania before and didn't have a clue what to do or where to go. We can't wait to visit again.

I stayed in December and the hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, really beautiful. People were gathering just to take pictures outside. The building is an old pretty European style architecture and the rooms are modern. My room was a 2 twin beds one and is quite spacious. All was working in the room. Overall it deserves a 5 star hotel. The service is very good, staff really want to help. Breakfast is reach enough and good. |Location is also perfect, very close to Old town and quiet.

We had an exceptional stay at the Marmorosch Hotel in Bucharest. From the moment we arrived, everything felt high-quality and perfectly maintained. We were delighted to receive a room upgrade, which made our stay even more special — the room was spacious, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable. The location could not be better for exploring the Old Town; everything is just steps away. There is no hotel parking, but an underground parking garage is conveniently located nearby. We didn’t use the spa, but the hotel bar — set inside the former bank vault — was truly unique and one of the highlights of the property. The service throughout our stay was warm, friendly, and professional. Overall, a fantastic experience that exceeded all expectations. Highly recommended.

Despite being rated as a 5-star hotel, our experience did not meet expectations. Privacy is a major issue. The lobby is constantly crowded and feels more like a tourist attraction than a hotel. Accessing the spa and swimming pool requires walking through the lobby in front of everyone, which is uncomfortable and not suitable for a luxury property. The room experience was basic, with no welcome amenities at all, which is unusual for a hotel of this category. Considering the high room rates, breakfast is not included and costs €25 per person. The food selection was repetitive with little variety. Overall, the experience did not reflect a true 5-star standard, and we would not choose this hotel again.
