The Marmorosch Bucharest, Autograph Collection (Bucharest, Romania) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Set in a 19th-century bank building, the Marmorosch Bucharest, Autograph Collection is a love letter to the Belle Époque, its interiors paying generous tribute to both Art Deco and Art Nouveau, interpreted through the lens of contemporary luxury hospitality. The rooms mix modern comforts with varying degrees of grand period architecture, culminating in the wood-paneled Marmorosch Palace Suite. There’s a subterranean spa hewn from dark stone, and the restaurant, Blank, is named for one of the partners in the original Marmorosch-Blank banking concern. The Blank Bar & Lounge is a vast and ornate space that feels like the center of Bucharest society, while the Vault is more private but no less atmospheric." - Tablet Hotels

Spent two wonderful nights here whilst in Bucharest, as a part of our Uniworld Boutique River Cruises post-cruise experience. Uniworld always chooses the top luxury hotels, and that is what the Marmorosch is. The hotel is beautiful, stunning throughout, historically significant. If you can't stay here, then at least come for a drink in the Vault or in the lobby bar - you will be amazed by the beauty. Elegance throughout, we loved our spacious room, luxurious linens, very comfortable in every way. Great location, in the old town area. Delicious breakfast! Highly recommend.

I recently stayed at Marmorisch Hotel in Bucharest for a week and had a very pleasant experience. The location was fantastic, and room was comfortable, clean, and spacious, providing a great place to relax after busy days. Breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of tasty options. The gym, sauna, and swimming pool were well-maintained and added to the overall enjoyment of my stay. The hotel staff were polite and attentive throughout, and I want to especially thank Mr. Roopesh for his exceptional help and friendliness. My only minor issue was with the air conditioning, which could not be set below 21 degrees Celsius. This meant I had to contact reception to adjust it several times, causing a small inconvenience. Despite this, my stay was very good, and I would happily recommend Marmorisch Hotel to anyone visiting Bucharest.

The Marmorosch is absolutely beautiful, from the exterior to the lobby, to the guest rooms. We felt like we had entered an age of elegance. Our room was quiet, with large windows offering a lovely view, and the bed was sumptuous. Breakfast offerings were high-quality. The location was great for exploring Old Town and Calea Victoriei. We were extremely happy with our stay here.

As a Titanium member who regularly stays at Marriott properties around the world, I’d like to express my sincere appreciation for the team at the Marmorosch Hotel.||I want to thank Lorena at reception, who checked me in and out and was my main point of contact during the stay. On my first evening, I needed to reschedule a reservation at the Vault Bar. When I approached the desk, she immediately knew who I was without asking for my name or room number. She had likely checked in many other guests after me and handled countless questions throughout the day, yet she still remembered my details. That kind of attention made me feel truly valued.||I’d also like to thank Ionut from the breakfast team, who was working at the hot station. On my first morning, I ordered a fried egg cooked on both sides. The next day, without me saying anything, he remembered exactly how I liked it. Considering how many guests and custom requests he handles daily, that kind of thoughtful memory really stood out.||I also want to thank the team at the Vault Bar, who not only accommodated my drinks with care, but showed outstanding situational awareness. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch their names, but they were truly kind and attentive. The bar was quite full one evening, and at some point I stood up to look for a plug to charge my phone. Without me saying a word, they quickly noticed I was scanning the room, understood what I was looking for, and immediately guided me to the nearest plug. It fascinates me how they manage such a high workload while still being so aware of their surroundings. That’s the kind of attention to detail that, to me, defines true 5-star service.||Everyone I interacted with during my stay was genuinely warm and professional from the gentleman at reception who always worked hard in helping with our luggage, to the cleaning ladies who ensured my room was consistently spotless and beautifully maintained.||I truly hope the staff receives the appreciation they deserve they played a big part in making my experience so positive.||Thank you again, and I look forward to returning.

We spent 11 days at this hotel in the last month. Because the hotel purports to be a five star hotel this review is from the perspective of that standard. We enjoyed our stay but respectfully speaking, it is not a five star hotel. There is one impressive, probably historically significant atrium space behind the front desk shown in all the photos of the hotel but one should not judge this hotel by that singular impressive lobby space, it is not reflective of the full look and feel of the hotel. We had mentioned we were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary but no mention was ever made of it. The front desk is small and not especially welcoming. Our one bedroom suite with balcony was modern and spacious, the bathroom large and nice, the linens and bed first rate but the walls and sofa were tired and the room was not adequately cleaned each day, dust accumulated under the furniture, the room seemed at times minimally tidied we are not sure the linens ever changed.. That is just not five star. The elevators were small and narrow, the swimming pool on the lower level was notably small, too small for the number of guests, and finding an attendant to provide a towel was not always easy. The gym was open 24/7 and that was a plus. We tried the buffet breakfast one morning and decided it wasn’t for us, the area has plenty of other alternatives. The hotel is tucked away on a side street in a great neighborhood but our terrace which otherwise would have been lovely overlooked only a crumbling ramshackle building across the street. All of that said, we loved our visit to Bucharest. If you have five star expectations for the hotel we think you will be disappointed but if you moderate your expectations to approx. 3.5 - 4 stars you are likely to also enjoy your stay. Hope these comments are helpful.

We arrived late. After checked in we were offered no help with luggage. When we got to our room and started unpacking, we noticed how hot it was. We tried to call the front desk but the room phone did not work so had to use our cell to call them. They said our thermostat was locked and if we wanted to move would try to find us another room. We said yes to a move and they said they’d call right back. After 15 minutes we called again and they said they have a room. We finally got settled 35 min later. Went to the lobby bar next evening at 18:00, sat directly in front of the bar. Sat for 15 min while none of the 5 people working there ever approached us. Mostly they were behind the bar talking, so we left but Le Dome was right around the corner and it was very nice with attentive staff. Check out took 20 minutes because the two parties in front of us had false charges on their bills. Overall not a great experience. The building is beautiful and well maintained. I wish the staff were as polished as the building.

I am a lifetime Platinum member. I am saying this because I spend 2-3 months per year staying at Marriott properties in the US and internationally. |This is my second time in 2 years staying at this hotel. 11 nights last year and 5 nights this time. I previously stayed at the JW Marriott. Great property but not a great location if you want to be in the center of the town with access to a lot of dining or shopping. |I love this property for it’s location, the great staff serving you with a smile on their faces. They are always asking if there is anything else they can do for you. Breakfast in the morning is great with a good variety. Pool and spa are relaxing and I always make sure I get a message. It’s been a great experience.|The regular rooms are spacious and comfortable and if you get an upgrade it’s a nice bonus. |You have to have a drink at the Vault. They have some good and unusual cocktails on the menu. Very good with an interesting setting.|I hope your stay will be as enjoyable as mine.

Absolutely zero customer service. The manager, Vlad, is worse than the other employees when it comes to greeting new guests or giving any sort of information. He’ll just push a piece of paper in front of you and tell you to read it. He also looks like he came back from a funeral, no smiles, not even a “welcome to our hotel” when you first arrive. And that goes for the majority of the employees. None of them and I mean absolutely none of them have had any customer service training! This is a five star hotel, and it’s very expensive, the least you can do is have a smile on your face. I understand it’s hard to find in this country, but such a reputable (supposedly) hotel should do better. It’s also the first hotel I’ve ever found a cockroach in the bathroom. Next time I’m taking my money somewhere else. For the higher-ups, invest some money into training your employees how to behave with guests! You have a lot of international travelers and we expect the bare minimum.
