The Marquette Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton

I visit downtown MPLS a couple of times a year for business, and have stayed at a few hotels in the area. I've had some good experiences, and some not so good ones. The Marquette was a good one.||The hotel is located within downtown skybridge network offering entrances from the 1st or 2nd floors of the IDS building or the street level, so offers convenience.||I had a spacious corner room on a high floor. The room offered good comfort. It had a nice sectional couch in the corner. The bed and pillows were comfy especially the pillows as they had some fluff/firmness to them. The temperature controls were easy to use and could provide a steady temp throughout the night.||The gym was a decent - a little better than your typical mid-range hotel.||I enjoyed my stay - and would be happy to stay here again during my next trip, especially when its cold and I dont have to venture out.

We had a wonderful experience during our stay at The Marquette Hotel. The staff were welcoming from the moment I arrived, and check‑in was quick and smooth. My room was spotless, comfortable, and well‑appointed, with thoughtful touches that made the stay feel special. We also received a room upgrade to a deluxe corner room upon arrival |The amenities were excellent, especially the breakfast, which offered a great variety and fresh options each morning. The location was convenient, making it easy to get around without hassle. We really enjoyed walking the skyway system in downtown Minneapolis which provided access to several restaurants and shopping. We really liked the parking option at the ramp with in and out access.|Overall, this hotel delivered comfort, quality, and great service. I’d happily stay here again.

We had our groom's dinner in the Joliet House restaurant with 40 people. It was fantastic. The space is so comfortable with various and fun places for people to gather. We weren't looking for a big formal sit down. We wanted people to mingle and get to know each other before the big day. And this space was so conducive to that. We could have had 30 more people and still been very comfortable. And the Top Golf like room attached was a blast for people to hang out and participate. The food was so wonderful. Can't say enough about the short ribs. Our bartender, Tina, had the best dirty martini's. Diana, the food hostess kept everything hot and fresh. It was such a pleasure working with everyone. I highly recommend looking into this space for a truly wonderful and unique venue for hosting a groom's dinner. Everyone was very accommodating to our needs. We were able to walk in, enjoy, and then leave to go home for a good night's rest before the big day!

The hotel itself was beautiful. Enjoyed my room for the short time there. Super comfortable and clean bed. Television in an odd angle for viewing. Street noise comes right through the windows for light sleepers. Restaurant was nice, with view of the concourse. Difficult finding parking garage. Hotel can help, but there were less expensive parking lots a block away. Slightly less expensive paying for parking directly. Wish Hilton would have a hotel rate for those who park and those who don't so it is clear at booking versus a surprise charge.

Booked through AMEX portal as this was part of the fine hotels collection. I would reconsider AMEX on this one.|| Upon arrival @ 3:00 pm we were notified that our room was not ready, so had to go out for a couple of hours to kill time until the room was ready. |They never called me to notify me of my room being ready nor did they apologize.||I was notified by Hilton corporate that my room was ready as i was discussing the issue with customer service. ||The front desk girl who checked us in was not very helpful either or friendly.||The room is very nice but noticed hair on the bathroom floor upon arrival. Super comfortable bed and very nice view of city. ||Our toilet clogged and cleared up on its own but they never showed up to help!||The overall location is good and easy to walk to Target center and US Bank stadium.||the hotel brunch was good as well.||Overall a pretty poor experience, nice hotel but poor customer service.||Do not recommend||There are definitely better options

I submitted a review of the Marquette date November 9, 2025 and am unable to delete and update it, so I'm hoping my updated review, having returned home and on reflection, will be accepted for posting and more helpful to travelers. My two-star (poor) rating of the Marquette remains the same, but offer greater explanation.|I flew to Minneapolis to attend a wedding, never having been there. First, the hotel was difficult to locate. While it is a Hilton, there is a Hilton a few blocks away where my navigation took me when I asked "Hilton Curio Collection, the Marquette." The Marquette is the Marquette. Looking for signage, I saw nothing indicting it to be a Hilton. The valet at the "other" Hilton gave me directions and said, "it happens all the time." It shouldn't. If it happens all the time, they should change the signage.|Second: parking is underground and also poorly marked. Construction of some sort was being done which led to a woman standing underground handing tickets for parking. The lanes leading down the floors to park were mismarked, meaning one drove in what looked like the wrong lane in a narrow dark passage giving the impression that at any moment a car coming out would hit you head on. It was unnerving.|Checking in was average, but for someone who has never been to Minneapolis (or MN), no one at the desk told me the hotel and, in fact, much of the downtown is connected by a skywalk. That seems like something they might mention, as it's a feature of the hotel. I walked a block outside in the 22 degree cold looking for a restaurant before turning around. Fortunately, I ran into a member of the wedding party who told me about the skywalk. It was a Sunday evening and most everything within walking on the skywalk was closed. I had a sandwich at a Potbelly shop.| Why did I not eat in the hotel restaurant? I tried later. The small space is made smaller by one room being used for a virtual golf tee. The photos of the hotel lobby provided by the hotel conveniently fail to show a pool table in the lobby. With the golf range upstairs, I consider the Marquette a sports bar with a hotel attached. The stadium is a few blocks away and fans of both teams were pouring in for an evening game, about the same time as the wedding. Guests are young and boisterous. I am old and admittedly curmudgeonly, but when I travel I like the hotel to at least have some nice amenities, primarily service.|Here I repeat my earlier review: after eight I wanted a simple bowl of cereal and fruit. Guest services on the phone from my room told me it could not be done. I went downstairs to the golf shop/restaurant where the one waitperson told me, "I know where the cereal is," and brought me two little boxes of cornflakes, a container of plain yoghurt half used (I was happy to have it) and a bowl of mixed berries. I gave him a $10 tip.|Waiting for breakfast the next morning, I happened to meet and speak with the Executive Chef. He was apologetic, knowledgeable and well-trained. That made me feel somewhat better.|I checked out before 9 a.m. The desk was kind enough not to charge me for the second night I had reserved. I moved to the Intercontinental at MSP Airport, which I found to be a much better, more satisfying property in every way.|In short: the Marquette caters to a younger clientele that is not demanding of personalized service and special requests. It is deceptive to not show the pool table in the lobby, as the lobby essentially becomes a bar in the evening. It is neither quiet nor genteel. If you prefer something that doesn't feel like a college dormitory, look elsewhere. I recommend the Intercontinental. I do not recommend the Marquette.

Standard Hilton luxury hotel. I’m currently in the middle of my stay and I am not really impressed. The location is nice but parking is an issue for visitors. The hotel kitchen leaves a lot to be desired (both my dinner and breakfast were pretty mid). But my biggest issue is how noisy the rooms are. I was not aware the Corner King room I paid for was connected to another. It’s like I’m staying with a family I’ve never met… The connecting door being closed is not enough (there isn’t even a door sweep on the bottom of it… I can see under it…). I don’t appreciate being forced to listen to my neighbors using their toilet, doing their hair, or having conversations at 2AM. Other guests can also be occasionally heard through the vents in the room (screams, moans, etc). It’s not a very “luxurious” experience and is unfortunately a pretty big deal. Otherwise the amenities are great and I love being connected to the IDS center and all the skyways.

I haven't even checked out yet and I'm writing my review. I've had a fabulous experience here. Everyone at the front desk has always been so friendly, helpful, and greeted me with a hello how are you today. Even when there was a problem with the a/c they bent over backwards to make sure I was comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance to some restaurants and stores, and the rooms are very nice. I highly recommend staying here. If I come back to Minneapolis I will definitely choose this hotel again. Thanks everyone!

Wedding party here with several couples staying the night at the hotel. The 50th floor has an incredible wedding venue with panoramic views of the twin cities and the rooms at the hotel are clean, modern and comfortable. Not a great parking situation as its crowded when there is an event and you do not want to park on the street

Ok, I have been here multiple times to the little bar for some drinks and every time I do, I am happy. The drinks are not overly expensive, and contrary to popular opinion, I actually enjoy the vibe in there. It's low key and you can get basically whatever you want to drink and it is centrally located.. what else could you want? Bartenders are usually pretty nice and friendly, great at getting you your drink. A few months ago my boyfriend and I were going to stay here because we just wanted a little staycation moment, and we had been debating between this and another hotel. The front desk workers were so accommodating and kind and helpful in every way possible. They made everything we needed that weekend possible and I am so grateful for that! We did not end up staying here just because of location but definitely will be back simply for the customer service :)

We stayed here for an evening with plans to attend a concert at the Armory. Check in was fast, easy, and pleasant. Valet parking was a little steep at $50 without tips. However the valets were fast, helpful and pleasant! We stayed in a corner king room on the 23rd floor. The layout of the hotel is wonderful, our room felt very private, we did not hear a single person all night and it was a very busy night in the city that night. Our room was nice size, beautifully decorated and clean! The windows and views were spectacular. We slept like babies in the fluffy, clean bed and loved the hot, high water pressure shower, appointed with the best smelling shampoo, conditioner and body wash, it was like being at a spa! Would highly recommend!

Nice hotel...pretty standard, nothing exceptional. Large room with a city view. Carpet was a little worn in my room but everything else was fine. The staff was outstanding! From the warm welcome when I arrived, to the friendly housekeeper, to the person who helped me in the business center, to the person who walked us through an atrium so we didn't get lost trying to find our function... The staff are the reason I gave this 4 star review because everything else about the property is pretty ordinary.

A large group of us came to Minneapolis for a convention and most of us stayed in this hotel. It was a wonderful experience staying here for our week. My wife and I arrived very early... 10:30 AM early. Being Hilton Honors members we were allowed to check in at that time. Not a suite or oversized room... Just a very nice room on the 12th floor. It was a very reasonable sized room with a very comfortable bed and pillows with a nice size bathroom and walk in shower. The room had very large wrap around windows with a wonderful view of downtown Minneapolis. Directly across the street was the Wells Fargo building. As you walk in to the hotel off the street the main bar is straight ahead while the reception desk is to the right. Before you reach the reception desk, you'll walk past several very casual and comfortable seating areas. There's even a billiards table there. The bar / restaurant area always seemed very busy, especially in the evening when we came back from dinner. The bartenders and the servers were very friendly-outgoing-efficient. Overall, it was a great place to sit with my friends to relax / converse and laugh. The Breakfast Area / restaurant is on the 3rd floor. While I never came here for breakfast or lunch, my friends who did had nothing but great things to say about it. The hotel is located in the middle of everything - business and touristy places. Plus, the hotel is only one block away from the Mary Tyler Moore statue which I have visited multiple times. It was nice that we were only a ten minute walk from the convention center where most of my events were. Overall, this is an excellent hotel and I highly recommend it. I travel to Minneapolis all the time and by far this is the best Hilton I've stayed at downtown. The staff is friendly and rooms are up to date plus spacious. Only downside is the valet there's no in and out after 11 and is $60 after tax per day. The bar and lobby is nice as well.

Attended a conference at the hotel. It was perfectly laid out, rooms in great condition, and everything very clean.

I really like the Marquette and have stayed here multiple times. It's not perfect, but when the price is decent, it's one of my top choices for Minneapolis. Pros: Spacious rooms, beautiful hotel, great location, convenient to public transportations, close to US Bank stadium, connected by skyway, comfortable beds. Cons: Low shower pressure, TV does not allow streaming, severely understaffed, breakfast is buffet only, at $24 a person (so the $15 daily credit for Hilton Gold isn't close to covering it), the computer doesn't recognize the need to apply daily credit first before other stay credits (like the American Express Platinum Fine Hotels credit). For a hotel of this caliber, I would have expected a little more on the food and beverage options. There is one bar, which is open limited hours (and severely understaffed). There is one restaurant, that is also open limited hours and severely understaffed. Even the room service stops at 10pm. (There is no food option at all in this hotel after 10pm.)

This was overall a decent stay at an upscale, modern hotel in downtown Minneapolis. The entrance is unobtrusive, and there won't be any staff to help you with your bags, etc. Check-in is easily accomplished through the Hilton app, and you can obtain a digital room key without needing to stop at the desk. The executive lounge is closed indefinitely. Gold members receive $15 per day per guest (up to 2) credit to use at the lounge bar or for breakfast. We found this easily covered two before dinner cocktails each evening in the lounge which was nice. We were offered a complimentary upgrade to a large corner premium room which was well appointed and comfortable. The bathroom and amenities were fairly standard. Staff interactions outside of the lounge visits were through the app messaging functions, and staff generally responded quickly. Staff in the lounge/bar were generally pretty friendly. Housekeeping was on request and can be scheduled through the front desk or by communicating through the app. We did not actually eat anything in the hotel. There is a plaza connected to the hotel with some additional dining and shopping options. If you want to see the famous Mary Tyler Moore statue, it's right around the corner! Overall this was a pleasant stay in a comfortable hotel.

Great hotel with great staff. Rooms are comfortable, clean, and roomy. I'm there twice a month traveling for work and have never had a bad experience. Most recently, my company held their annual all hands meetings using this hotel's facilities (and of course housing all Associates in the hotel). What a great week! Special thank you's go out to the front desk crew for always being welcoming, the room attendants for keeping up with our daily needs, and to Melissa behind the bar for keeping the large company crowds' drinks topped off with the best smile (everyone loves her!). Thank you, Marquette. You are the warmest spot in Minneapolis in January.

My buddy and I stayed here for a couple nights this past weekend when we saw the Vikings game. I booked the hotel on Hotels.com Checking in was fast and easy. The room was really nice and clean with a great view. I wish they had room service menus and a tv channel guide in the room though. Not sure why they don't. It doesn't make a lot of sense but oh well. Overall, a really nice hotel right in downtown.

The location of the hotel is prime. I was able to walk to work, as I was on a business trip. The air conditioner unit was super loud when it kicked on so it woke me up every hour. The fitness center was nice, but I worked out at night and I don't like that people can watch me work out from outside. The bar was the restaurant, which was a little weird to me, not the Ceasar Salad I got was amazing. I added salmon to it and it was cooked perfectly. I had a charge on my bill for the Jolliet House, but I never went there. I had to get it removed from my bill.

Incompetence is the only way to describe this hotel. We booked this property for our 22nd anniversary. I checked in online for.a 3 pm arrival so that we would have ample time to prepare for our reservation at Trevail Kitchen. Here we sit 1:10 minutes past our reservation time still waiting on a room. We now now longer have time to fully get ready for our 350 dollar a plate anniversary dinner. As a lifetime Hilton diamond member I have never been more disgusted with Hilton in my life!!!!! Get your act together Marquette or ditch the the Hilton brand. Today you are not worthy!

Easy to book, fast and courteous receptionist, well-cleaned room with beautiful view. Rooms are nice and warm, suitable for cold Minnesota winter. This is one of only 3 hotels in the area where they have a jacuzzi tub in the room. Highly recommend bringing your own bath bomb or bubble bath. My highlight of the stay here was sitting in the tub relaxing, which is exactly what I needed. Room service was fast and the food was delicious. They have many good places to eat both inside the hotel and nearby. All in all, a great place to stay in Minneapolis downtown despite much pricier than other hotels. They're worth it.

Wow .... what an incredible stay. When I had arrived, before 3pm, I was greeted by Michael, an agent, so I thought. The upgraded room (due to my status) was not available yet. No big deal. I stored my luggage so I can check out the Foshay Observation Deck. About a hour later, when I returned to the hotel, Eric, Guest Service Agent, had advised the room was not quite ready yet. No big deal since I had some emails to catch up on anyways. After looking further, Eric was able to find an One Bedroom Suite available. Which I gladly accepted. I was able to locate the suite right away since it's located next the elevators. The casual living area is large enough to hold a small gathering. With the wrap around windows, I had a great view of the city. The bedroom, also, a wall of windows, is good size room with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is attached to the bedroom. Overall, the suite is really nice and large. Regarding the public areas..... once you enter the hotel, the main bar is straight ahead while the reception desk is to the right. Before you reach the reception desk, you'll walk past several casual seating areas. There's even a billiards table for those enjoy a game of pool. The bar / restaurant area was very steady with guests. Besides great cocktails, meals are also served. I had several items/meals which were very good. The bartenders and the servers were very friendly and outgoing. Great place to hang out. The Fitness Center, is large with various workout options and cardio machines. Breakfast Area is located on the 3rd floor. Currently, they were only offering a Continental Breakfast which offered wide variety of items. The part of the dining area is overlooking the mall/office area. The location is in the middle of everything - business and touristy things. Plus, the hotel is only one block away from the Mary Tyler Moore statue :) Overall, this upscale hotel is an excellent hotel and I would highly recommend it. During my stay, I found out Michael was actually the hotel's General Manager. Under his guidance, now I know why all of the staff members were very friendly and helpful.

The Marquette is a very nice spot. It is conveniently located in the IDS Center and surrounded by lots of places to eat shop and play! We loved our corner room which was spacious and clean. We were here for our anniversary...so it was more of a relaxation and just enjoying each other! The only complaint we had was that we needed ice and it took about three hours to get some ice. Otherwise we are happy with the location and the staff was OK...they could act as if they liked their job...the employees we interacted with that day...could be a little more courteous. This will definitely be our spot if we need to stay in Minneapolis again... A little bit pricey but it's worth it. Parking is $32 per night which is more a convenience thing. We parked a little further for half that price and I'm talking one block from the Hotel. This skyway make access to parking garages easy so it wasn't worth $32 per night to park in the IDS parking lot.

My sister and I got the chance to stay here for a couple of nights on our northern road trip the last couple of nights. We had a tough time deciding between the hotels downtown, but ultimately decided on the Marquette, which was a fantastic decision. We landed the hotel at $100/night on Hotwire and parking ended up $55 for two nights if you don't take the car out of the garage. If you are looking to stay downtown, this hotel has a very great location. The hotel is connected to the skyway and right next to the city center so a lot of options within walking distance. The hotel has great rooms and everything in the hotel is nice and clean. There is foosball, a pool table and shuffleboard for games. There is a small gym, but gets the job done if you can work with just dumbbells. The lounge in the lobby has great food and fair pricing. Staff here was great as well. Definitely an upper end property in the Hilton collection!

No room service until after 3pm. Complained 3 times about music and inappropriate sounds coming from the room next to me. First call I asked if the hotel had quiet hours and was told yes and that it currently was quiet hours. Staff said they'd call to address the issue. 10 minutes go by and neighbor still loud. I call again staff states they didn't answer her call and to give her 5 minutes to directly address the neighbor. Another 15 min goes by STILL I am hearing inappropriate sounds while I'm trying to sleep I contacted via their text system again thinking this would work. No answer. For the price of this hotel my experience has been significantly poor. When you have to be up at 6am for business in the middle of the week to have a noise complaint ignored is wild. Housekeeping staff has been very kind but getting help reception staff is like pulling teeth.

I've stayed here many many times over many years. Knowing that times are different now, was not expecting the same experience. One of the reasons for staying here was they Ed to have great benefits for Hilton Diamond members. This meant often getting great room upgrades, access to the lounge which featured a good breakfast buffet, complimentary happy hour each afternoon and access to bottled water, fruit, coffee, snacks any time of day. That's all gone - the lounge is open only for breakfast, and it's no longer included. The daily food and beverage credit doesn't even cover the cost of breakfast! Our room had a lot of wear and tear, the HVAC was noisy, the plumbing had issues. Services one generally expects at a higher end hotel have all disappeared - no room service, no valet, no bell service, lobby lounge has very limited hours. Asked for housekeeping daily and that was a struggle and didn't happen at all early in the stay, despite requesting and hanging the sign out. They also don't seem to have any housekeeping available later on as early aft when our room still wasn't serviced, I was offered towels. Most of the staff has changed and they generally seem to be trying, especially in the lobby bar. The room we moved to didn't have a safe and front desk offered to install one. Dropping a safe loose in a drawer that could be removed and placed in a small knapsack isn't helpful. I've hosted events here, referred people and had dozens of previous stats. I am top tier in other hotel programs and there are lots of other Hilton branded options in the area that you may want to investigate as an alternative. Beside our new room was a connecting room. One night they seemed to have a party which spilled over into the hallway. The next night was a very strong marijuana smell. I didn't ask for any specific accommodation or consideration for all of our issues and nothing was offered either and the hotel was well aware. I know businesses are struggling and things have changed everywhere but I just can't see staying here again for business or leisure. Brand loyalty makes a difference and corporate Hilton probably shouldn't have this (esp branded as a higher end Curio property) property and new owners associated with it. It reflects very poorly.

Really terrible hotel, my towels were wet and the staff was rude. I was also called a racist name by the bartender "Angel". The bar manager Simone came over and was incredibly dismissive.

Very clean, comfortable hotel. Rooms were spacious with great views. The lounge has tasty food and the $19 buffet breakfast was pretty good. Downside is that there's no room service and you need to call down to request a maid to clean room

I have stayed here several times over the past several years. The location is excellent for events @ the Target center, theater shows, etc. We have always had excellent customer service, and the rooms have always been clean, well-maintained, and ready whenever we have arrived. The Marquette has become my go-to Hilton in downtown Minneapolis.

I was a little concerned when I had several conversations with other the front desk and one of the gals "Eve" was a little rude. First night I was provided with the incorrect room. Spoke to the Sup and she transitioned me to another room. 2nd night the room was SO HOT that we could not stand it! Called the front desk and it took about an hour for an engineer to come up, only to tell me that there was nothing he could do. Not a good experience at all and I was very disappointed..

This hotel is so far below par it's silly. Breakfast doesn't start until 7am. There are times of the day that there is zero food available. No restaurant, bar/ lounge or room service open. I have no idea how they have received the ratings they have. Beds are not comfortable. We came to our room after checking in and saw that the room had not been cleaned from the person who stayed the night before. After they finally came to clean and the cleaning service still left dirty dishes. We will not return. I do not recommend.

No room service at 9 30 pm. They don't even have a room service menu in the room This is a 250 room hotel. Stay away. They really care about you Rooms are nice. But if u return after a long day of meetings and expect to get a glass of wine and snacks/food sent forget it.

For openers, I am a bit biased when it comes to hotels as I prefer Hilton properties. The level of service tends to be consistent from property to property and as a Hilton Honors member I get a few membership perks. That said, from the staff to the rooms to location, this is an amazing hotel!!! Upon arriving I was a little early for check-in and my room was not quite ready. The staff provide me a time as to when my room would be available and because I wanted to grab a bite to eat they offered to store my luggage until I returned (yes, they offered this without me asking). To make things easier, they checked me, provided a key so that once my room was ready I could grab my things and head up to it. While at lunch, and ~20 minutes earlier than the time they gave me, I received a text informing me my room was ready. My initial plan included a coffee shop stop after lunch to waste a little more time before heading back to the hotel, but the text message allowed me to skip that stop. The room was spacious with a contemporary/modern feel to it along with plenty of windows which provide great views and lots of natural lighting. Most importantly the level of cleanliness is what I have come to expect and appreciate about Hilton properties. The bed was very comfortable, and the pillows were decent quality. Although my trip was a weekend getaway and my plans did not include working, my room had a very nice setup that would have been acceptable for that. It contained a nice size TV, plenty of seating and a decent sized bathroom. My room also included a small fridge. I used the gym a couple of times and was impressed with how spacious it was. There were several types of cardio equipment (including a spin bike) along with lots of strength training equipment. Add to that, the gym included a fairly nice view of parts of downtown. Speaking of downtown, the Marquette is located downtown on Nicollet Mall and is connected to Crystal Court in the IDS Center. It is within walking distance of many things including bars, restaurants, First Avenue, Hennepin Theatre District, Dakota Jazz and all 3 major sport venues (Target Center, TCF Bank Stadium, Target Field). The Light Rail, which is 2 blocks away, can be used to go to both the MSP Airport and the Mall of America. With all the amazing restaurants and bars in the area, I never had a chance to eat at the hotel. I did stop in the bar for a nightcap and really enjoyed the vibe. Although they were not making them, it felt less like a hotel bar and more like a craft cocktail bar without the hipster part. Overall, I am super pleased with my stay and look forward to staying here again on future visits to Minneapolis.

I spend a lot of time researching hotel options for a weekend in Minneapolis for a friends wedding in December. I was over all pleasantly surprised with our stay. The staff was very nice upon arrival and was Able to accommodate and early checkin wit my Hilton elite status. When we arrived in the room it was a nice airy corner suite with a lot Of room and over all nice condition. There were a few stains in the carpet which bothered me a bit but bed was very nice. Since it was winter the heater ran a lot but room was comfortable with respect to the temp. I really liked that the hotel is all attached to the rest of the buildings and started out arrival day with some nearby shopping at Nordstrom rack, sacks 5th and some other great stores. Was not expecting all that nearby and found some great clothes. Since we did have the happy hour on the executive floor with our room we did get in to enjoy some chill Time in their wonderful Jolliet room. Best part was we the only guests in the executive happy hour. Has some great views worth checking out. Transportation was easy with Uber but many options right there available to utilize. We never needed a rental car. Nearby you have a lot of major attractions as far as target field, Vikings stadium, wild stadium, Music venues and plenty of other good eats I would stay here again if we visited again... I'm pretty picky about hotels as I travel a lot.

Four stars this hotel does not merit. There was nothing explicitly wrong with the hotel, but for what you pay, you should expect more. It was sorely lacking in amenities, both in the rooms and on the property. To start, there is no swimming pool, so that's no fun. When we inquired about laundry we were told that there is an information pamphlet and laundry bag in our room detailing the service they offer. The information pamphlet/laundry bag was nowhere to be found in our room, so we called down to the front desk and were told they would bring one up for us. It arrived promptly, but we were disappointed to learn that there is no self-service laundry facility on the property and that you have to pay absurdly high prices and wait all day to have your clothes cleaned (about $11 for a single pair of shorts, $22 for a dress, etc.). We declined to have our clothes laundered and opted to wear slightly stained clothing instead. The room was decorated rather plainly and we were sad to see that there was no bathtub in it, only a shower stall. There is also no microwave in the room. Parking and continental breakfast are not included in the rate either, and the parking ramp is weird, labyrinthian, and the license-plate recognition technology at the gate does not work. I will concede that our room on the 19th floor did have a great view. I would not recommend staying here if you are looking for a hotel with the expected amenities of a four-star experience. Cheaper, two-star hotels like the Hampton Inn & Suites have all the amenities I would've expected from a hotel like The Marquette, and have decor of a similar aesthetic and quality.

Very nice hotel. Quiet central location walking distance to numerous dining options. Able to sit at the bar and visit for after dinner drinks. Easy check-in and checkout. Breakfast buffet available on the 3rd floor we weren't interested in breakfast but able to get coffee to go. Nice clean room with Crabtree and Evelyn products. Would stay again

I am currently staying at the Marquette Hotel for a week for residency for a PhD program and I am trying to order room service for breakfast. When I called the front desk, they told me there's a QR code to use for room service for breakfast in my room. When I tried using the QR code, it was faulty and therefore I called the front desk back and they told me that they would send up a hard copy menu for breakfast so I could still order room service for breakfast. That was not true and I have since been told that I cannot use room service until 3 PM due to the QR code being faulty. This is a huge inconvenience for guests who are here for business. The fact that this big of a company cannot manage room service in the mornings is blasphemous. This hotel is extremely expensive for it to be as low quality as it is. This was not my choice to stay here, it was mandated by my UNIVERSITY however, I will be leaving detailed reviews.

I had a very nice stay at this Hotel last Spring. I was in town for a professional convention, and starting with a 2 AM arrival at check-in, my stay ran smoothly and comfortably. A great room with a view and lounge privileges thanks to Hilton Hhonors Diamond status helped too. The Hotel is in the center of Minneapolis and I was able to conveniently walk everywhere I needed. I'm not a stranger to Downtown Minneapolis as this was the "Big City" when I was growing up in Iowa. The old Curtis Hotel and Dayton's are gone and the Foshay Tower has been rebooted into a W Hotel with observation deck. However, it was great to be back in style, thanks to the Marquette Hotel.

Was visiting from out of town for the Bears vs. Vikings game. The Bears sucked, the hotel did not! I bought the room with travel points but $300 for 2 nights isn't insane for the weekend and the location. The hotel was a 15min wall from US Bank Stadium where the game was. We ubered there for $8 and walked back because the fares spiked. It was a lovely walk with a chill breeze. We were less than 30mins from Paisely Park, so went to check that out too. Lots of restaurants in both walking and driving distance, and a restaurant downstairs, though we didn't try it. Minneapolis is a cute little big city, and downtown is a great location to experience it all. The Marquette Hotel is the perfect place to stay to get to plenty! P.S. ask the front desk for maid service when checking in if you want it. With COVID they are opting not to clean your room. P.S.S. the room comes with a fridge. You can request a microwave and if they have one available, will bring it to you for free. In and Out parking is $32/ night. Worth it versus the headache of another garage or the gamble of street parking.

I always stay at the Marquette. My loyalty is ridiculous, but it remains a firm part of my being, even when my loyalty goes towards innocuous things, like hotels and restaurants. If you're good to me, I'll have your back no matter what. The Gestapo can pull out my nails, but I won't divulge a name. It's one of my very few good points. I stayed at the Marquette Hotel when it first opened, around 1973 or 1974. The in room steam showers blew my mind back then. I would never predict I would have a daughter who would graduate from the University of Minnesota, earn her masters in Minneapolis, get married and stay in Minneapolis. Back then, I was a New Yorker and thought my stay in the midwest was short lived. I was wrong, and as a result, I have stayed at the Marquette close to one hundred times. It's a Hilton now, so I get points, but there are many practical reasons why my loyalty to the Marquette stays true: It is in the very heart of downtown Minneapolis. The Marquette is attached to the IDS Center and the skyway system. Nicollet Mall, and its bars and restaurants, are right out the door. The Dakota, one of the best jazz clubs in the world, is two blocks away. Rooms, at the Marquette, are large, comfortable, quiet, and are updated constantly. Prices remain rather reasonable for the quality and modern elegance. Staff has always been nice to me, even without remembering me. The bar is always great, and a consistently good restaurant and bar, Mission is right next door. New, trendy hotels are popping up all over the cool city of Minneapolis. However, the Marquette is my hotel, and as long as it's good to me, it will be my hotel of choice in the city of Minneapolis.

Nice place but the service was a bit weak. This is supposed to be a nicer Hilton property but I have felt more welcomed at Home 2 Suites properties than this "higher end" hotel. The food in the restaurant was OK and the Top Golf facility was cool. Not super impressed overall.

Gorgeous hotel located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis! Parking is approximately $30 a day for hotel guests. Check in was a breeze and staff lived up to everything I heard about Minnesotans being SO nice! The decor is very modern chic with with deep blue and gold jewel tones... Definitely a boutique hotel feel in the lobby and in the rooms! My double queen had a nice view of downtown along with being spacious and quiet. Plenty of drawers for storage, a fridge, nice chaise couch, & benches at the foot of each bed! The best thing about this hotel is it's location- it's connected to a mall that includes a Nordstrom Rack, Starbucks, & several restaurants! Target is a quick walk down the street if you need anything, and the Convention Center (where I was every day for a 3 day volleyball tournament) was a 5-10 minute walk away! If I'm ever in Minneapolis again, I will most definitely book a stay at the Marquette again~ I absolutely loved it!!!

I stayed at this hotel in October, 2017. Pros: Rooms are spacious Beds are comfortable Good insulation between rooms Great location in downtown Bathroom is clean and modern in the room Good value --good nights sleep which is really what you pay for Cons: "Free" breakfast buffet is Hampton Inn quality. There was no ability to order a cooked breakfast. I would suggest skipping this and going to Hen House or another hotel. Pre-check-in and phone access keyless entry didn't work for me. They said it doesn't work with corporate booking systems. Service of front desk, bell captain and restaurant service was not up to pair with a downtown hotel Workout room is less than I would have expected. Adequate but nothing special. Internet service (free Hilton honors ) was almost unusable in the evening /night on club level floors. In addition to my experience, two other gentlemen were notifying the front desk as I was checking out. Would stay there again if rates are low. If the rates go up, it isn't worth it due to lack of service and amenities.

Four of us stayed here for the Rolling Stones concert. Very convenient location. Check in was fast and easy through Eugene the front desk rep. Stayed on the top floor (19th). Room had a nice view to the east on 7th St. Decor was very contemporary, almost sterile (in a good sense). The bar downstairs does not open until 3pm. The drinks are fair. We enjoyed a couple appetizers, then headed to the concert. The next morning, we had brunch on the 3rd floor. Nothing fancy on the buffet, fairly standard items. They do offer cooked to order eggs benedict if you ask, no extra charge. Overall, excellent stay. It has been 25 years since I last stayed here (or in downtown Minneapolis). Great to be back! Well done Marquette!

Our friends stayed here and raved about the experience. They felt it was a very good value for the price, the location, the view (!) and the amenities. Since we've never stayed there (since we live a few blocks away), it was a treat to step into their room and see it for ourselves. The staff greeted us as if we were guests, too. The concierge was very helpful and friendly towards our friends. Looks like we have a new hotel to recommend to Twin Cities travelers!

I love this hotel, the location, the staff, restaurant (food, ambience and bar/wait staff) make it a great place to go to after a long day of work or touring. It will be ny new go to for Minneapolis travel. Rooms are large, quiet, clean, beds super comfortable with great views.

Had decided to stay downtown after dinner at Mannys. Turned on tv so didnt turn lights on in room until getting ready to go to sleep. Am glad we did but disgusted that we had been under the bedspread that when we pulled it back, we noticed there were blood stains all over the bedspread. Decided to check out, go home and shower. Want to add, staff was very courteous at both check in and out.

The rooms look awesome. Who said white is chic? Grey is the way to go. This room is a lot of grey and it looks chic. I believe most rooms have what is basically a corner window and lots of window. But the building must be jagged to get that look on the inside, I didn't get to check. The checkin is a bit slow. Finally a second person came to help with checkin. Other than that, things were easy.

the most accommodating hotel that i have personally ever experienced. they really know how to take care of their guest. from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. this hotel is super clean and staff are super nice! corner room has nice view of downtown Minneapolis. very accessible to the stadiums. good insulation. beds are comfortable. overall, my family of 4 enjoyed our time here at the marquette. definitely would recommend my travelers and yelpers who are looking for a place to stay while you are visiting minneapolis to book with them! 2 thumbs up! tips: *there's a fridge *Cribs are available upon request *$30 to park per night- unlimited in and outs *outside the hotel is a starbucks and nordstorm rack. *within walking distance to nicolette mall & hennepin located in downtown *close to the freeway *if you are a hilton honors member gold and above you can eat breakfast and snacks/bottled drinks throughout the day. there's a mary tyler moore table there! *wifi available *very thought out bagged up ice. *does not provide microwave *free two bottles of water for hilton members

The Marquette is truly one of my favorite hotels in the downtown Minneapolis areas. I don't travel to Minneapolis as much as I once did so was pleasantly surprised when I got there and found that the hotel I used to frequent at least monthly was still an awesome place! It is a modern hotel with nice, comfortable rooms. The staff working here is very friendly, but isn't everyone in Minnesota???? The location is great and centrally located downtown... also convenient to the light rail. Nothing but good things to say about the Marquette.

Lousy customer service. We stayed in a corner suite. For the price, and advertisment of the suite, it was unimpressive. The front desk was underly unhelpful when we checked in and when we inquired about the area. Housekeeping was rude. Such a disappointment.

By far one of the best hotel stays I've experienced in a while. I'm visiting Minnesota on business and booked a room at the Marquette Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. First let me say I was granted early check in, which was awesome. I was greeted immediately and referred too as Mr. Nelson my entire stay. The check in process was quick and I was give a synopsis of all hotel amenities along with a map of the Sky Way. When I open the door to my room, I was immediately blown away by the fantastic view of downtown Minneapolis. The room had two full length mirrors (extremely rare). The bathroom as spacious and felt like home. My bed was soft and had more than enough pillows. I had a great night sleep! The workout area had another view of the city which was nice as well. I can't wait until my next trip to Minneapolis, I'll book another room at the Marquette Hotel.

Absolutely amazing hotel. Top notch friendly professional staff that goes the extra mile with a smile. Plus the hotel has a great location in downtown Minneapolis close to sports venues restaurants bars nightlife. The city is one of the safest ones I have seen. And its community very caring and helpful. The hotel rooms are ample from the smallest one to the biggest one. Modern and clean. I got a very nice room. The gym is spacious and few people use it. So you have plenty of freedom to enjoy your workout. The bar and restaurant has everything for everyone. Thwle amviqnce ia amazing aloh with every single bartender, we met 3 of them. Other guests are very friendly too and you quickly have a good conversation along with your drink. Maybe the prices are not the best ones in the area for a restaurant, but this one isbhigher end; and speaking or prices the parking lot price is a bit high too, keep in mind this is right middle downtown and I guess it is supply and demand. Common areas are modern comfortable and plenty. I will stay at this hotel as many times as I can! This is a great value high end hotel!

Overall, 3/5 stars for this hotel. It's a nice place to stay in downtown Minneapolis, the rooms are quiet, the bed is fairly comfortable, but there's a few things that keep me from giving it more stars. First off, the bathroom shower is not well done, water will pool outside the shower because the glass is not sealed next to the shower tile near the door and water will hit the wall and then pool outside the shower onto the ground making for a bad situation if you aren't careful. Secondly, the breakfast buffet isn't very good, the food is cold and not very good (definitely not worth $20 per person IMO), when we first walked inside, we asked a waiter if they had anything prepared in the kitchen and were told no, then another server came by our table to drop off some water and explained that they did cook eggs benedict in the kitchen which we did order, enjoy, and thank her for. My wife was pretty put off by the first server's attitude and lack of providing information when asked. Thirdly, when we were checking in, we were told because we were using our AMEX card that we'd have $100 in incidentals credited to our bill. Upon checking out, we had them print out the bill and found that the credit was nowhere to be found, even though we had 2 days of breakfasts and 2 days of parking in their garage (which are obviously incidentals that went well over the $100). My wife spoke with the employee at the front desk about this and they ended up having to call over a manager to fix the issue. The incidentals should have been covered automatically so that we could check out faster and not have to double-check their bill.

Very nice, modern hotel, recently renovated for the 2018 Super Bowl that will take place in Minneapolis. Unfortunately they were re-doing their kitchen so the food was most likely brought in from other places. Breakfast food was terrible and i did give my feedback on this to the staff. I tried a burger at the bar one night and that was OK, nothing impressive. Hopefully once their kitchen is done the food will be better. The executive lounge had some very nice jumbo shrimp and other appetizers. Their red wine was OK. Also if the hotel staff reads this please hire staff that is educated on wine at the Exec Lounge. They guy was wondering if an opened bottle of wine goes flat. Some of your bar staff needs to learn how to make certain cocktails, like a dry martini and Moscow mule.

Great hotel in an excellent location. Close to public transit. Lots of attractions in the area. Perfect distance to US bank stadium. The bar downstairs has a happy hour with tasty drinks. Will stay here again when in town.
