Only giving guinness in a plastic cup to tourists or girls it seems, very poor form when everyone else had glass pints. And when asked, it’s cause they are local…

Visited in September of 2018 🍻 Such a great spot 🙌🏻 While at the lisdoonvarna matchmaking festival we came across the matchmaker bar. Such a great atmosphere here during the festival but I’m not sure what the pub would be like on a normal weekend. We were chatting to a few lads that were actually 10 minutes down the road of us that we never knew so it’s definitely worth a visit .

Appears to be closed for business? August 2023. It had hordings all the way round and work was going on inside. A local said that it is being converted into accommodation for Ukrainian refugees. Not sure if that is correct, just what we were told. Shame really as we'd heard so much about it. On the plus side, we still managed to meet the world famous Willie Daly at his Matchmaking Donkey farm. A must see. He's such a wonderful character.

Not really fair to leave a low review so have gone midway even though we did not get to sample the food the service or the atmosphere. Just wanted to warn others that it's only open at the weekend. Such a shame and a wasted opportunity.
