MAYANZA BATHS

We visited here for our 31st wedding anniversary and it will be remembered for years to come. It is a beautiful place. The grounds are as beautiful as the indoor hot baths. We had reserved a relaxing essential oil couples massage and lunch. We enjoyed every moment here. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Beautiful space and great baths. We really loved that it was an adults-only location with access to drinks and food. My only critique is that for this price point I’d expect more organization and a better explanation when you are taken to the locker rooms.

This was my second time at the mayan baths and they are absolutely amazing! We were running late and the staff was so kind and understanding, they never rushed us or gave us a hard time. The location is beautiful but you will have to take a back road to get to it. The water was pristine and everything was clean and staff were very professional. We got the massages and the ladies were phenomenal. The water is not “hot”, I think many people expect hot tub temperature, it is not that. The water is about 95 degrees, warm but not hot. As others have said it is warmer in the grotto than outside but even in late December the infinity pool was perfect in the sun. 10/10 will be back and would recommend to everyone. Bring cash for tips, it is well worth the price!!

This is a total tourist trap. Completely manufactured space, nothing indigenous to the land. A crappy (with no view) “infinity” pool. A waterfall in small grotto then Hallway walk to a small gathering pool outdoors. Three happy people in the pool = painful experience. Highly do not recommend

An honest and helpful staff. When I put on my robe, I lost my watch (it fell out) and the gal who helped me went above and beyond to search for the watch, which she did find. I'm grateful! On our way out, they provided a small bag to store our wet clothes in and hailed a taxi to take us back to the city center. It is best to arrive early because it is relatively quiet and not too crowded compared to the afternoon time slot. I believe the facility is only open on weekends with a daily limit of 45 people. It took about an hour and a half to fill up the upper pool when we got there since it appeared that it had been emptied during the week. Apart from that, it was a well-maintained site with tasty food and they're expanding. We highly recommend this place.

A very magical and luxurious place to spend the day, with extremely professional and good service, and the three course meal topped it off in the afternoon. It was also a beautiful drive to get there- 30 minute taxi ride was 250 pesos each direction from the historic district. They are currently open on saturdays and sundays only from my understanding. Best way to contact for reservations is Whats ap. Can't recommend highly enough!!!

The place is very nice and relaxing. The pools underground and outside are gorgeous. The water feels super good. The changing rooms are mixed (women and men) were you have a small place to change in private and it’s the same place of shower. So everything wet. The bathrooms are in the middle of it so no intimacy. So not good. The massage are performed in an open alley where there is noice from people that are waiting. So no relax at all. I don’t recommend it. The food ok in the above garden. The beverages were well done. There are many rules in the place and no promotion of the properties of the waters. It was ok for a day spa for 150 usd.

Mayan Bath is very nice. We reserved the dinner, massage, and spa package. It was great. The have a bar inside of the bar and we can grab drinks while in the pool. The message was nice and the dinner was great. Overall good experience and was worth the price.

One of the worst experiences my wife and I have ever had in Mexico. My wife made a reservation with a package that included a massage. She was told they had availability. We showed up the next morning at 10am when they opened and were asked what time we scheduled our massages. My wife was never told that she needed to make a reservation and that the only time they had was 3PM. We had other plans and weren't expecting to stay that long. We talked to the woman who managed the massages, who was apologetic and said she would contact someone to see if she could get someone in at 1PM. So we go to enjoy the mineral hot springs, which we were told was 95 F degrees. Not even close and didn't even seem like mineral hot springs. All the reviews that comment that the water is lukewarm are accurate. We lasted about an hour. When we got out we asked the women about the possibility of a massage at 1PM. Turns out she never contacted the person she said she would and at that point said she could try to now contact them. At that point we were done. But it wasn't over. We asked the person who checks you in to request a taxi. We were told 20 minutes. A taxi drove up to drop someone off. We thought we could just take the first taxi so my wife asked the price to go our destination and was told 200 pesos. The gentlemen that ordered the other taxi said our taxi was only 5 minutes away so we should wait as it is a taxi service they use. Should have known better and just taken the first taxi. The taxi that he said would be 5 minutes turned out be another 25 minutes and charged us 300 pesos for the same ride. Very disappointing experience. The funny thing is I hardly ever do reviews, but I had to share our experience regarding this place. Seems more like an expensive tourist trap rather than mineral hot springs.

The setting is gorgeous, the people nice. But just be very aware that the actual thermal water area is underground and in a very tight space and they allow you to not wear masks--and the majority of guests in that small damp space weren't wearing them. We left it immediately and complained and they said it's not required. It is the least safe I've felt in over a year of Covid. So know what you're getting into before going.

Don't bother paying a deposit with this place if there is any chance you may need to change your reservation. There were three of us traveling to San Miguel and we made a reservation. One of the party had to drop out due to a family emergency. They would not refund the deposit but would allow us to change our reservation. No mention of that policy on their website. Nonetheless, we agreed to make a reservation for two. Here is the kicker: In order for two to attend now they want us to pay the full price for all three. Seriously? Luckily saved all my correspondence, turning it in to my Visa Card company and disputing the charge.
