I have stayed at this hotel several times and I like its location in Hamra. The staff is also very helpful but the interior needs updating. However the hotel does not feel like 4 star experience and the breakfast is a disappointment if you are looking for an authentic Lebanese breakfast. You may hear Fairuz in the morning - but go get your zatar and cheese manoushes from the bakeries outside.

The Mayflower Hotel, an iconic establishment in the heart of Washington, D.C., is a perfect blend of historical elegance and modern luxury. From the moment you step into its grand lobby, you are transported to a bygone era of classic charm. The hotel, often referred to as "The Grande Dame of Washington," has hosted presidents, diplomats, and celebrities over the years, and it’s easy to see why. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and meticulously maintained. My stay was in a deluxe king room, which offered plush bedding, a comfortable sitting area, and modern amenities like a large flat-screen TV and high-speed Wi-Fi. The marble bathrooms were particularly impressive, stocked with high-end toiletries. The hotel pays attention to detail, ensuring that guests feel pampered during their stay. One of the highlights is the hotel’s dining options. Edgar Bar & Kitchen offers a delightful menu, blending American classics with contemporary flavors. The ambiance is perfect for a quiet dinner or a lively evening out with friends. Additionally, the hotel's afternoon tea service in the lobby is a must-try, offering an elegant and relaxing experience. The staff at The Mayflower Hotel are courteous and professional, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay. Whether it’s arranging transportation, providing local recommendations, or addressing specific needs, they do so with warmth and efficiency. The hotel’s location is unbeatable. Situated near the White House, National Mall, and numerous museums, it’s an ideal base for exploring the city. In summary, The Mayflower Hotel offers a luxurious and memorable experience, combining historic grandeur with modern comfort. Whether visiting for business or pleasure, it’s a top choice for anyone looking to stay in D.C.

This hotel was booked for me as part of a trip, so I had no say in choosing. The location in Hamra is excellent with plenty of things to do around the hotel. Check in was quick and efficient and I was soon in the room via the very cramped elevator. The room was dated, a bit tatty, plenty of dust in the air conditioning, slow hot water. The bed was comfortable enough to get a decent nights sleep and the choice of breakfast the following morning was excellent. Also worth noting is the that bar/pub that is joined to the hotel is excellent. Good food, drinks and chat with the staff. What the hotel lacks in luxury and quality, it almost makes up for in character.

The location of the hotel is excellent in the center of hamra near the important features nearby. There’s alot of shopping areas and eating places nearby. The rooms are nice however the furniture is old and the bathrooms need repairs. Also there were no drain stopper so you cant use that . One particular thing that’s so uncomfortable to deal with about the hotel is that the receptionist. The day i arrived the receptionist was so stiff and rude dealing with us with an attitude like we were no customers and he offered us rooms at diffrent floors and when we asked for diffrent setup he stated that either we take it or leave it just like that . Most of the interaction with that particular receptionist was like he was ignoring us most of the time and treat us poorly when interacting with. Honestly the rest of the receptionist and the staff were friendly and polite. One other thing is that there’s alot of delay when you ask for something, for example i asked for an iron for my clothes it took them 3 calls and 2 visits to the reception counter to deliver that to my room. Same for the bath tub drain stopper but they never delivered it . The rooms contain fridge that you get charged if you used any of the items there. And don’t use the telephone line for calls outside the hotel because you’ll get charged for also. I recommend staying at this hotel despite all pf what i mentioned.

Koza cozy, English hotel in the heart of Hamra. Friendly staff, good breakfast menus. Surprisingly good bed. The rooms are spacious. Good cleaning and ventilation. Nice English pub downstairs. I will absolutely stay here the next time. :-)|

I stayed there for 3 weeks last year, working remotely. The hotel was amazing. Electricity by the generator around the clock, and therefore air conditioning and reliable internet. The staff were super friendly. They were very nice to me when I was at the reception at odd hours of the night to connext to my work on the other side of the world. The owner even instructed the staff not to vaccum around me while I was working! I WAS SPEECHLESS! The bar downstairs is very nice and has good food. The location is amazing. Close to everything you need to enjoy what Beirut has to offer. I am in love with the place and the area! Most importantly the people.
