I had a very bad experience at this hotel. I had to change rooms three times because all of them smelled terrible, with a strong smoking smell even though they were supposed to be non smoking rooms. When I complained, I was told that I was just “allergic” and that there was no problem with the room, which felt very dismissive and unprofessional. Even after cleaning, the floor was left slippery and did not feel clean at all. The only positive part of my stay was the service at the bar. Belal was incredibly friendly, generous, and helpful, and he was the only reason I did not give an even lower rating.

The rooms were got was supposed to be for 6 people. We booked on the intention we were getting getting 4 single beds and a queen bed, ended up having to get a folding bed as extra bed. The beds are not comfortable at all! The wifi signal is very weak, not even able to watch tv and do any work on my laptop.. I'm giving the 5 star service to the valet man and the house keeping staff. Reception was a little rude. Hotel was booked at last minute so I guess you get what you pay for.

I stayed at the Mayflower in the last few summers when I visited Lebanon. The hotel staff are always nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and have all amenities you will need. The hotel is near many shopping and dinning places. I love this place and I'll consider staying there again. I recommend it for those who want to have a clean and reasonably priced place to stay when visiting Beirut.

I don't know where to start, this is an absolute disaster for a hotel... Rooms are dirty, they don't add kittle or water in rooms or complimentary coffee or tea, we have asked for a kittle to be able to make coffee which we bought from a super market, and after 2 days they have sent a dirty broken one. Reception staff are rude, they promise you buffet for breakfast but get this .... The breakfast is served in the bar which is not children friendly at all, there is no buffet, you go to the bar tender to get a plate of breakfast ( as per their choice), then you get extremely little portions on a plate, that you don't get to refill and you end up leaving very hungry, you have to accept what they give you 😂 the wifi is slower than a lazy turtle and useless 🐢 We have asked for an extra electricity adapter for the charger but guess what... They said we only have 5 in the entire hotel and we gave them to guests already 😂 the elevator is extremely old and outdated... This is not a hotel, this is a night a the museum 🤞🏻

Upon arrival, reception was empty. Waited for 20 minutes, a female employee came but stayed on her phone then left. We waited another 15 minutes for another employee to come. Were given a small room on 1st floor with old furniture and broken table and TV. Exactly near service section. Where door was always open bringing hot air and massive machinery noises. Workers going in and out constantly, talking, yelling. Was very noisy. Bathroom flush broke a couple of times. Floor was flooded overnight but female receptionist kept ignoring us, answered but didnt follow up the problem. We had to call a housekeeper to fix it. We called the tourism police department and informed them about all details, they said they made a note and will follow up complaints. Manager only sent reassuring msg on whatsapp but failed to follow with actual actions. At night reception was strangely abandoned completely while dangerously looking thugs with beer and alcohol standing outside and entering in. Which is very inconvenient for families staying in hotel. It's well priced, but the room was a bit gross, I paid a bit extra for the breakfast that was included, had the english breakfast the first day as it was recommended by the staff, but the breakfast was aweful to the point I didn't eat there again the following days, still not a bad experience considering the price, the best thing about the hotel is arguably the aesthetic and all the beautiful paintings hanging around
