We came into town for a wedding, and our stay at this historic property was absolutely exceptional. The grounds are stunning—beautifully landscaped with tall trees, high bushes for privacy, and thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces. There is a gorgeous pool with a relaxing lounge area, a charming side courtyard with a fire pit, and classic rocking chairs on the front porch to enjoy the evenings. The entire property is well lit at night and has a peaceful, timeless feel.
The historic main home is incredibly well maintained. Every detail feels intentionally curated for guests. Inside, there is a beautiful living room and an elegant dining room that seats up to 18, complete with two fireplaces. The large, fully equipped kitchen makes entertaining easy, and multiple doors open directly to the grounds. There is also a separate guesthouse suite, along with 10 bedrooms and several bathrooms throughout the property—comfortable, spacious, and reflective of New Orleans’ rich culture.
We hosted an outdoor event here with private catering, and everyone who attended was extremely happy. The artificial turf provides a large open area perfect for gatherings, and there are cement benches, pavers, and various seating spots throughout the property for guests to enjoy. Although we did not use the heated pool, it was a wonderful feature to have available.
There are two downsides worth noting. Parking is very limited, so for private events, it’s best for guests to use rideshare or alternative transportation. Additionally, because the property is located in a neighborhood that is a bit worn and somewhat dilapidated, you may occasionally hear passing cars or loud music. These moments were brief, but worth mentioning for awareness.
Overall, our experience was truly memorable. The atmosphere, comfort, and beauty of the property far exceeded our expectations, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone considering hosting an event or staying here.
