The Med Restaurant - Vernon

We did not have a reservation but they were able to accommodate my family of four on a busy weekend. The food looked and tasted delicious, so flavourful. We had no complaints at all. The service was awesome. Overall we had an amazing experience!

I recently dined at this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed with the excellent food and service. From the warm welcome to the attentive staff, everything was top-notch. The pastas were delicious, with perfectly cooked noodles and rich, flavorful sauces. The cozy atmosphere and exceptional service made for a memorable evening. Highly recommended!

A charming atmosphere that makes you feel like you're on vacation. The staff were super friendly. The seafood was the star of the show, absolutely delicious. However, the tomato soup was a bit of a letdown. It tasted like it had been crying all day. 😭 And speaking of tears, I almost cried when I realized that, due to supply issues, there wasn't any beef on the menu. Where's the beef?! 🥩 Settled for a pasta dish that was certainly lackluster of meat (chicken & Italian sausage). Overall, The Med is a great spot for a casual night out. Just be sure to come hungry and with a love for seafood. 🐟"

Really disappointed coming here the first and probably last time. We were seated at 6 as per reservation and quickly ordered appie and meals. The flaming chorizo sausage was really tasty and were served it pretty quick however our main course took nearly an hour after that!!! Like seriously 1 hr to make pasta with rubbery chicken.. my husband enjoyed his pork calypso but my lemon linguine was meh for "fine dining"..drowning in heavy sauce and no bread on the side. the table behind us also complained about the slow service and no reason was given by the server. The server was nice enough and the restaurant is lovely but I was not impressed with the whole experience and left me disappointed 😞

On the 2nd anniversary of living in Vernon, I visited this restaurant. The experience was delightful with very friendly, unobtrusive staff, a unique and creative interior featuring interactive paintings, and delicious dishes. I left pleasantly impressed!

The food was delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. Every seafood appetizer on the menu was tasty. I would highly recommend the Marrakech chicken, Short rib, gnocchi, And the lamb. It is a small restaurant so it’s quite personal and Romantic. The portions are large and the desserts are fantastic as well. I highly recommend this as a date spot for Vernon! Keep up the quality work it was amazing.

Love the ambiance and decor of the place! Menu had lots of variety to choose from, I ordered the Pollo Al Funghi and was not disappointed. Worth a visit!

Lovely atmosphere and staff were awesome; however, the sides were disappointing. The scalloped potatoes were dry and unflavored, and the veggie side was slathered in tomatoes and red peppers, instead of letting the veg speak for itself. The meat (roasted lamb and bison steak) were SO good though. The cook on the meat was perfect and the seasoning was perfect. The sides need work though.

Yesterday was just not the day for anything at the Med...It started that we wanted a side of bread and then salad and pasta. Got the bread and almost 3/4 of an hour later we finally go the salad and pasta...saying that they thought the bread was an appetizer...NOt... I wanted a 150.00 gift card - in the end I got a 100.00 gift card and some 20.00 free card that has to be used Jan to Mar...my 150.00 gift card was for people that go south in January and return April... We were there at 11:30 and left at approximately 12:50...NOT A GREAT EXPERIENCE... Thank you Carole 250-308-7722

Honestly, I don't understand the reviews. Food was mediocre. I had an awful fish dish (sent it back). Sometimes I read these reviews and I think we went on a bad night.

This restaurant redeemed Vernon for me. I'm sure there are other wonderful foodie finds here, but I've had a string of bad luck the past few days. At the Eclectic Med, the staff understands their food. The paella that I ordered was delicious, and the mussels, scallops, shrimp, lobster and chorizo, perfectly cooked. Loved it. Will bring the family the next time we visit as a family. This may be the only restaurant we eat at!!

THE BEST!!! Quality ingredients make some incredible dishes. The bison loin was cooked to a perfection, rivalling the big high end restaurants in the Okanagan. The pork chop is very tasty with amazing home made chutney. Our dinner ended with asking for the desert menu...to find our two favourite deserts listed, cream brûlée and bread pudding. Service was perfect. Very friendly and personable waiter added to the perfect meal. Will be back many more times!!

Were visiting a friend in Vernon and enjoyed a delightful lunch here with my wife and her. The décor is subtle and lovely with the pleasing ability to have a table conversation at a normal level. The staff was delightful and very helpful with both wine and food selections. My wife and I split an order of crab cakes to start and they were light and tasty. I had the mussels in a Coconut Thai Curry broth and my wife had the Cioppino. The Cioppino was good but not exceptional. I thoroughly enjoyed the mussels, there were plenty, beautifully cooked, and the broth delightful. The Cioppino is served with a side of garlic bread and the mussels, interestingly enough, with fries and a lovely aoli. Overall a relaxing, lovely mid day meal.

3rd time and each time something is off. Food was very good for dinner, however service was very poor. Went for lunch today and found the cutlery to be dirty, coffee cups, both mine and my guest were dirty. Water glass was dirty as well. Ordered a Caesar salad and was given a house salad. When asked if I wanted chicken on it.. yes.. however, did not expect the sliced chicken to cost more that the salad! When I received the bill..6.95$ for the salad , and 7.00$ for the chicken! Rather disappointing.

VERY TASTY! and the service was excellent. There menu has so many unique dishes. If you are looking for something different I highly recommend this place. makes a great date night dinner.

Wonderful! We just got back from an absolutely wonderful meal at Eclectic Med. I also want to pass on a special thanks to Jennifer, who is amazing, for all her tips and help in finding local sights tomorrow. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Fine dining, a la carte prices, to cover fast food quality dishes. In all fairness, the potatoes are good. This is the response from the co-owner in our complaint about micro-waved potatoes: I took the decision to pass them in the microwave for the last 30 seconds to ensure they were fully heated and that you did not have to wait longer than necessary. I only informed you of this fact to warn you of their possibly elevated temperature. I make no apology for this and could not have known that you have personal issues with this technology ( "I do not own a microwave and will not eat anything that has been in a microwave" ). There was no charge for the perfectly good food that ended up in the trash. The owners are British, too bad Gordon Ramsay is not around to teach them something about putting heart and soul and valuing their customers!

Excellent food. Also they helped my friend, who suffers from various sensitivities, they practically created a new dish on the spot for her. The waitress were extremely well versed about the menu and made the experience even better.

Besides the server bringing my entre to the table and not returning with my wife's for over three minutes , we ordered pop and tea which over 15 minutes still had not arrived. There were only four other tables seated with three servers working the floor so there should not have been a reason for these errors. As for the food , the food was tasty BUT piping hot on the bottom and cool to the touch on top. I wondered if my plate had been placed in a microwave oven to reheat it.
