THE MERCER

I am super picky about restaurants and the Mercer totally impressed me! The food and cocktails were all excellent, from presentation to taste, no notes! The ambience was sexy and sophisticated. It is cozy and nostalgic yet modern. Fun music, but not overbearing so you can still enjoy your conversation. The service was excellent. Sienna, our waitress, was an absolute delight. Friendly, attentive and super helpful with all of our menu questions. The manager, Owen was also very friendly and welcoming. You could really see the care taken by the staff in assuring that all of the guests were enjoying their experience. Some of our favorite dishes were the Hamachi Crudo, the sushi hand rolls, and the lobster rolls topped with caviar. The steak was also excellent and cooked to perfection. All of the cocktails were fantastic! The tiny tini’s (smaller sized martini) were an excellent option if you want to try a couple martini variations without getting too crazy! The Negroni and old-fashioned were also perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. Absolutely love the gorgeous square ice block. Many little details like this really set this restaurant above the rest. For dessert, we enjoyed the New York style cheesecake and it was incredible. Perfect texture and I appreciated seeing actual vanilla bean specs. Excellent spot for a romantic date night or girls night out. I am looking forward to bringing my family back here as well. Cannot wait to return and highly recommend. Truly a standout in a very crowded Phoenix restaurant market.

I’ve been to The Mercer several times now — it’s easily one of my favorite restaurants in Phoenix. The food is consistently impressive, and the atmosphere perfectly blends a classic steakhouse feel with a modern, stylish twist. Their French Dip is absolutely phenomenal — probably the best I’ve ever had. The slow-roasted prime rib is tender, juicy, and full of flavor, stacked thick and paired with the perfect amount of horseradish. The au jus is rich but not too salty, and the bread holds up beautifully even after dipping. I’ve also tried a variety of dishes during dinner — from the onion soup and short rib to the Rigatoni Pomodoro and Lollipop Chicken Wings — and everything has been excellent. The short rib, especially, is melt-in-your-mouth tender and full of depth. Service is usually outstanding. The bar manager with the beard is always super friendly and professional — you can tell he genuinely cares about the guests’ experience. The only time things felt a bit off was during Restaurant Week, when the place was packed and the service was a little slower and less attentive than usual. But aside from that, every visit has been wonderful. Highly recommend this spot whether you’re looking for a nice dinner, a solid cocktail, or just a stylish place to relax and enjoy great food.

Tje Mercer is a bit hard to find in the Esplanade off of Camelback Road, but it is worth the search. The restaurant has a classy but inviting ambiance, and there is a great menu of dishes and drinks. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious! I highly recommend the martinis and mixed drinks. The only thing is that there are very limited dessert options (only 2 when I came for a Saturday night dinner), but otherwise, everything about this restaurant was spot on!

This is going to be your new celebration and date night spot! The ambience, atmosphere, cocktails, and food were amazing. The espresso martini and dirty martini with blue cheese olives were a perfect start to go with our oysters. I had the grilled Brazino. YUMMY. The talented dessert chef made a cheesecake that was my favorite of all time. Next time, I’ll try more appetizers. Peter and Dafina have a wonderful new concept opening soon next door! Thank you for an unforgettable evening. I will be back often.

There’s a lot of wonderful things to say about the Mercer. The beautifully decorated space, the inviting bar and patio, the mini martinis, and then there’s the food. Let me be very clear. This is the best French dip you will ever have in your entire life! I do not say that lightly or carelessly! They asked me how I wanted my meat cooked for my French dip! What? Have you ever heard that? I have not! And your girl loves a French dip. This beautiful rare French dip comes out on the crispy bread with this anxious as you and perfectly balance Horseradish crema! I am already thinking about going back today to get another one. My parents got the salmon and the branzino. Both were good, but absolutely failed in comparison to the mighty French dip! If they Treat their French dip with that much care and finesse, I can only imagine what their burger and their prime rib taste like! The mini martinis are really fun! I got the pickle one. It was the perfect amount. The bump and bubbles were also great! The Bellini’s were homemade and delicious with a perfect dollop of caviar on top served alongside a wine glass, full of champagne! That is exactly how I wanna be sure my champagne Our server was dynamite! Serena was personable and funny and knowledgeable, and all around an absolute delight! I will definitely be coming back here soon and by soon I might mean for lunch today.

We enjoyed the dark “Polo Bar” atmosphere. The food was superb over the board. The prime rib was cooked perfectly and seasoned well and I cut in easy with a butter knife. The mashed potatoes were the best I have had in a restaurant, so rich and creamy… the lobster rolls were fine but not special as they looked? We were very impressed with the service and the meal. The only shortfall was no mocktails or NA beer on the menu. We are seeing 3 beers and 3!mocktails on fine restaurants as we travel but not here. BTW Caio our waiter was great! He recommended the cheesecake and it was fabulous.

What a fantastic restaurant to go to! We went for a spontaneous date and had a great night! Although short staffed on a Saturday night, the service, atmosphere, and food were excellent. Started with oysters and sushi, then got the filet mignon with fries, carrots, and mac and cheese. So delicious! The filet itself was to die for. Ended the night with the chocolate cake which topped the night. We had the opportunity to meet the manager Monica as well, and she was very sweet! Also shoutout our server Chris who made the night, he was great! Overall a 10/10 experience and we will definitely be back! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a top tier spot in the Biltmore area!

Our server, Austin, was great. He was very helpful in giving his opinion on both our drink choices and dessert options. The lobster rolls were amazing, the steak was excellent, and the cheesecake to die for! We will definitely be coming back.
