The Merchant Baku

We stayed at The Merchant Baku for 7 nights and 8 days and had a really great experience. The hotel is a 4-star property, comfortable, well-located, and ideal for exploring the city. We paid around ₼ 2,400 AZN, which is slightly pricey for this hotel, but considering the location and overall quality of the stay, it was worth it. Overall, the hotel provides comfort, convenience, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a centrally located hotel with good amenities in Baku.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel and cannot recommend it highly enough. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and easily accommodated our extra bed. We were worried about noise from the bustling street below, but the soundproofing deserves a special mention—it was utterly effective. A minor drainage issue was resolved by the incredibly responsive team within 5 minutes. The breakfast spread was a highlight, with a wonderful variety of pastries, fresh fruits, smoked fish, and hot items. The location is unbeatable, right in the center of the Old Town. Perfect for exploring. 10/10!

Thank you so much to The Merchant for helping me after I had nowhere to sleep because my Airbnb cancelled. As a 22yo girl travelling solo, it is so important for me to feel safe and The Merchant provided that. I went to all of the restaurants that the first concierge man recommended. The manager was so generous. The nice girl kept my bags for me all day, and the sweet boy brought my bags to the taxi!!! Literally perfect location, I could walk everywhere. Best hotel experience I've ever had thank you Merchant Baku! I can't recommend it enough!

This quirky boutique hotel was absolutely wonderful! From start to finish, the experience surpassed all expectations.|First off, the location is perfect – right in the center of town, making it incredibly easy to get to all the amenities and places.||The room itself was a highlight: very spacious, immaculate, and incredibly aesthetic with beautiful Art Deco inspiration in the interior design. Every detail was covered, from the comfortable bed to the lovely decor.||The breakfast food was delicious and of excellent quality, with a great variety of options to choose from.|What really made the stay memorable was the staff. Every single member was very helpful and always smiling. I want to give a special shout-out to Perviz and other staff members including Jafar (unfortunalty i cant remember all names but they were always smiling and helpful) who went above and beyond to assist with everything needed and ensure we had a perfect stay. Their hospitality was a true sample of excellent service.|Additionally, I was pleased to note the hotel is wheelchair friendly, which is an important consideration.||I would definitely recommend this hotel!

The best location to stay- easy to get around anywhere by foot. If you are taking a taxi to the place with your luggage- be ready to walk a bit coz the road doesn’t give access to all vehicles. But its all worth it. Lovely food, great service, kind staff. And such good weather.

The hotel has an excellent location and is very close to Nizami Street. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, with special thanks to (Jafar )for his outstanding service. The breakfast was wonderful, thanks to Chef Rasim

We stayed there for 3 days and had a very pleasant stay. Great location and everything is near, and very antique hotel. Service is amazing and the staff are very helpful especially (Jafar) from the reception, he was very tactful and treated us very nicely. The street in front of the hotel is closed so we had to walk for around 3 minute but the staff helped with the luggage. Cleanness was ok 4/5, and the breakfast was good also but not varied. Overall a very good hotel to stay in.

I had a wonderful stay at The Merchant Baku Hotel! The staff, especially Nahid (manager) and Mohammad, were incredibly kind and attentive, making the whole experience even more special. The decoration is cozy and stylish, creating such a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were absolutely perfect — super clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. Another great point is the location: it’s well connected with the city, with nice bars just outside the hotel, yet still very quiet and peaceful at night. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Baku — truly a 5-star experience!
