The Merchant House, Manama

What a delightful hotel. It's quirky with its contemporary art collection and the service from the employees is first class. Fantastic location. Rooms are quiet as its solidly built. It sits next to a mosque, so the first call to pray is about 0510 .it lasts a minute or so. Im one very picky traveller and I would have no reservation about recommending or staying here again. The rooms are very very spacious and the bed is so comfortable. TV's everywhere,kitchenette fridge dining table sofa etc. It really is an absolute gem of a hotel. Even if not staying hear check the rooftop restaurant on the top floor. Please consider the hotel for your next stay. You will not be disappointed.

Don’t make the same mistake I did and judge the hotel from the outside.|Once you step in, you’ll discover a true architectural and artistic masterpiece. The hotel is filled with stunning artwork and professionally crafted designs. The restaurant is also beautiful with an amazing view, making the whole atmosphere feel truly special.||Most of the staff are incredibly kind, and especially the super hospitality person Mr. Ali — I think he’s the real “joker” of the hotel. He handled the valet parking for my car, carried my luggage to the room, and also worked at the reception and his the one who welcome us at the first . Despite all this pressure, he remained friendly, smiling, and welcoming the entire time and very helpful.thank you so much Ali from all if us||The restaurant staff were also excellent, and the housekeeping team was very friendly and helpful — especially James, who was exceptionally good.||How lucky hotel havens that’s staff and amazing art!|Overall, a wonderful experience and highly recommended!

Excellent hotel - interiors are wonderful, suite was spacious and very comfortable and the service was great! The staff couldn’t have done more for us, especially Maxwell who welcomed us so warmly after a long flight and Victor who served us so well at breakfast! It was a shame the pool was out of action as we’d hoped to have a swim and relax before our flight but we’d still stay here again!

• The hotel lacked 24-hour room service, which is considered a basic requirement for a five-star rating. • Rooms were "not bad," and service was only "normal" (not exceptional). • There was no private parking, leaving your car exposed, resulting in it being covered in dust and handprints from people taking photos. Wouldn’t recommended…

We booked in to stay the one night and when we checked in everything was perfect from the location and ease of delivery of our car, to the check in process by the very efficient staff. Our room and indeed the whole feel of the hotel was very well designed and I must say exceptionally clean the only down side for us was the lack of any daylight or view in the room (Urban Suite Plus), whilst I do appreciate the building is in a superb location maybe a heads up that the room had no daylight and was about 5ft from an office window would be a good idea but in saying that the room had lots of lights but it did disappoint. I am so sorry to say this as every other aspect was lovely. Breakfast was superb and indeed we had dinner the previous night in the hotel which also was superb with staff being very attentive 5 stars for the restaurant experience.|Thank you for a lovely stay but maybe just a little idea would be to fore warn guests about the lack of light & view in the certain rooms that have this issue it is just to maybe let them make their minds up.| I would definitely stay again but maybe in the knowledge to ask if at all possible a room with a view or at least a little day light.|Many thanks Merchant House and keep up the great work that all the staff are doing!

The merchant house is THE place to stay in bahrain, and I punctually come back every time. Perfect for business trips or weekend getaways, the art curation is superb, the room design and amenities are spot on, and the rooftop is delightful. Best value for money in Manama by a long shot. Shoutout to the reception staff that remembers a face before checking a passport in the system it means a lot, and that’s what hospitality is about.

I visited The Merchant House while meeting a relative and I was immediately impressed. The lobby is stunning clean, elegant, and welcoming. The atmosphere felt sophisticated yet comfortable.||The lobby café, Café Gray, was lovely, with a cozy vibe....... The staff were friendly and polite, making the visit even nicer... specially the kaniyan man at evening ||Although I didn’t have time to visit the rooftop restaurant, Indigo Terrace.....||Even as a visitor, I could feel the care and attention that make The Merchant House a special place. Definitely worth seeing if you’re in Manama!

I love the hotel, its amazing, the room is huge and the restaurant is so cozy and love the designs, the staffs are so warm and very friendly especially Camala and Gretchen and they really take care of you! Highly recommended! When I’m back I’ll stay here again!
