The Met Hotel

I was traveling with my two children (ages 8 and 10) and, for the first time, our newly adopted cat. Although I have siblings and relatives in Thessaloniki who would happily host us, I've been choosing The Met Hotel for years now — it simply suits me so well that staying anywhere else doesn't even cross my mind. This visit confirmed why. The Met is one of the few genuine art hotels in Greece, and this matters deeply to me. The minimalist yet highly functional aesthetic strikes a rare balance — nothing excessive, nothing missing. It's design that serves you rather than demanding your attention. The hotel is genuinely pet-friendly: our cat was provided with all the accessories needed to stay comfortably in the room with us. We made full use of the spa facilities all three mornings of our stay — an absolute treat. The breakfast is phenomenal, with an almost overwhelming variety of options that keeps both adults and children happy. A personal touch I've come to cherish: there's always a welcome gift waiting in our room, ranging from artisan sweets to, on occasion, a bottle of wine. I honestly don't know if this is extended to all guests or reserved for returning customers, but it never fails to make us feel appreciated. What truly sets The Met apart, however, is the staff. A warm welcome with treats for our whole family 🐕‍🦺 The room was waiting ready for us before the check in hour and we so thankful for this! Comfortable beds for all of us! Even the extra bed for the children was spectacular! Quiet environment excellent for peaceful sleep. Perfect room service for late night cravings! We will recommend the kids menu. One of the best breakfast buffet I have ever tasted. The most value for money hotel experience!

The room was beautifully designed, very spacious, and exceptionally comfortable. It was well-equipped with modern amenities, making the stay both convenient and enjoyable. All areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean and well-maintained, which really stood out. In addition, the gym was modern, fully equipped, and ideal for maintaining a workout routine during the stay. Overall, the hotel offered a high level of comfort and quality, and I would gladly recommend it.

I had a great stay at The Met, and the service is truly top-notch. A special mention for Ms Eleni at reception; she was incredibly kind, acknowledged my Bonvoy status with a lovely room upgrade, and even arranged an early check-in. The rooms are modern, clean, and have everything you need. The entire staff is proactive and always ready to help; you can tell they prioritize the guest experience. I also really enjoyed using the jacuzzi several times during my visit. However I would like to mention that on my last night. At 2/3 AM, a group of about 20-30 teenagers were shouting in the lobby, which woke me up. While the staff stopped it quickly, it was disappointing for a luxury hotel. When paying these prices, I expect a peaceful sleep rather than a hostel atmosphere. Aside from that one night, it was a fantastic experience. I hope management ensures better noise control for large groups in the future!

My family and I arrived at the hotel 22/12/2025 late evening. We had also our small dog with us. Everything was perfect! The service at the reception, the room, all the hotel personnel. Our stay was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The hotel exceeded all our expectations — everything was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly organized. The service was truly outstanding, and this is exactly why we chose to return after our first visit. A special mention goes to the receptionist who was on duty between 22:00 and 01:00; he was incredibly friendly and helped us so much, making us feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

Absolutely superb from check in to breakfast. Rooms are well appointed and spacious. All staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent gym , sauna and spa service. Room service attentive Roof top restaurant and bar worth a visit. Daily transfer to CBD complimentary , check schedule at front desk changes daily All in all a very pleasant experience in this quality Hotel. Couldn't fault anyone or anything. Highly recommend.

We arrived at the Met Hotel in October. Unfortunately it was the day after the pool had closed for winter and I had not checked before booking!||The hotel staff are very friendly and efficient. We especially appreciated Mario and the staff in the restaurant.||Our room was at the rear of the hotel and overlooked the railway, shabby buildings and the hills in the distance. Because the rooftop area was closed we were unable to sit in the sun because the balcony was north facing. The central courtyard received very little sun as well.||We went to Thessaloniki primarily to see the monasteries. Unfortunately it was the one rainy day we had and there was low cloud. During the week two different monasteries a day open so it is worth checking which ones are open if you have a preference.||As mentioned there is a free minibus to Aristotle Square from outside the hotel which is really good and we also used the number 31 bus.||There are a huge number of places to eat in the city and just near to the hotel there is 4All convenience store with lots of choice for picnic lunches with very friendly staff. Next to the hotel there is a coffee shop called Smile which has a sunny table outside.||We loved the museums, the churches and the Roman forum visitor centre (the forum itself was closed). There are an amazing number of coffee shops, restaurants and cafes in the centre. The market is also excellent.
