The Metung Hotel

There is one pub in town, so no competition and my expectations were low. I was pleasantly surprised. The menu is extensive and everything we ordered was fantastic. I couldn’t wait to eat the oysters, so no photo…. But they were GOOD!!!

The hotel offers a breathtaking waterfront view and a lively, welcoming vibe. The food is amazing, paired with excellent service. It's an ideal spot for families, friends, and couples looking to unwind and enjoy some sunshine over a meal. Our Sunday was filled with local musicians playing while we enjoyed our food and drinks, adding to the hotel's uniquely relaxing atmosphere amidst the beautiful natural scenery.

Great atmosphere, beautiful old pub. Could use some updating . The staff are very friendly and helpful on knowledge about the area. Great view with boats and yachts everywhere. Food was on point !! Need i say more... delicious food , fresh seafood with plate sizes perfect.

This is our second evening ordering at The Metung Hotel. First night we waited 1.5hours for meals to arrive. Tonight was 1 hour and 15 minutes. I ordered the Porterhouse Steak Medium. Photo attached - it came out rare. I was so hungry I ate through what I could. I then asked to have the rest put back on the grill to get it to medium. They sent it back in 3 minutes, photo attached- equally rare cooked just smothered in mushroom sauce. Waitress offered a refund, but then when we went to the manager and owner they said they can’t do that and simply offered a dessert. Terrible wait times and service. Not good enough.

The seafood platter for one is a winner - I could happily make a meal of just that. We also tried the Barramundi and Flounder, both excellent choices. The staff are super friendly, but be prepared to wait - our food took 40 minutes to arrive (I timed it). Overall, it’s a great spot if you’re not in a rush. Definitely worth a visit for seafood lovers.

Took out doggo along and sat outside with a lovely view of the marina. Food was fresh and local. We flathead and chips and I had the seafood entree sampler .worth a visit

Absolutely beautiful place to sit back and enjoy a great meal and a drink with your pooch beside you. Either up on the deck or right on the water front. Just ask for a water bowl for your pets, and you can pour your own water.

Delicious food (the seafood tasting plate contained some of the best seafood I’ve ever tasted!) We enjoyed the beautiful views of the water and our kids loved playing outdoors. The service was a little slow (40 mins for food to arrive) but it was also busy. I’ll be back - well worth a visit!
