I'd say that the middle fork is a great place to eat some breakfast. It was pretty expensive for what you get and it took longer than expected. The waiters were kind and helpful. The Cubano I ordered could use some more sauce, cheese and seasonings. Half of my 12 ounce chai latte was foam but it did taste good.

Google
What a completely delightful breakfast. Everything was amazing. Eggs to Order, Quinoa Power Bowl were so tasty. Splitting a half order of lemon blueberry French toast was the cherry on top. Cassie was a joy to talk with and kept the coffee filled and hot. If you get the chance to visit this little gem, I highly suggest you do so. Next time we come to town, we will definitely be back.

Google
They have a really pleasant outdoor section with a little creek running through. I tried the shakshuka. It was so good I went back the following day for the eggs Benedict. Excellent! Great service, too!

Google
(Plant-Based reviewer) This place is so good! I had the miso salad and it was AMAZING! They also have vegan avocado toast and a veggie sandwich that looks really good. I finished with an oatmilk latte which was very good. Outdoor seating area is next to a beautiful small stream. Highly recommend this spot.

Google
First comment from my husband was to declare their coffee the best of our trip! I had the Cubano and my husband had a Reuben sandwich. We were both very happy with our sandwiches. I selected the fruit option instead of fries (which my husband had and were delicious). The fruit was really yummy! It had oranges and grapefruit, with a poppyseed dressing and pumpkin seeds. Not sure what else they added, but would definitely get it again!

Visiting from out of state, this cafe is a gem in a small Wyoming town. Staff was friendly, the restaurant and restrooms clean, the food was flavorful and elevated classics. But the shining star was the best cappuccino I think I have ever had. And I travel a lot. This is worth a stop, and take a cinnamon roll to go!

Google
A delightful breakfast stop in Lander Wyoming. When we first arrived, it looked as if it might rain, but we were urged to sit in their lovely outdoor eating area with promises of fitting us inside of it began to pour. It didn’t and we had a lovely spot near a fork in the stream. So many unique choices on the menu. We had a chorizo skillet and beignets. The beignets were lightly scented with nutmeg spice which made a totally different and delicious experience from typical New Orleans style Beignets. The chorizo skillet with fried jalapeños was delicious. The only criticism we could find was the potatoes in the skillet were cut so large that the potato stole a lot of the flavor from the rest of the dish. (Still delicious!) over medium egg cooked perfectly. The next time we are in Lander we will definitely be going again. Our server was polite and attentive, almost seeing what we needed before we did. Delicious breakfast and charming atmosphere.

Google
Love a place that cares about what they are creating. The gluten free blueberry French toast was soooooo spot on. Bacon and poached egg cooked perfectly. The server, Jaimie, was excellent, attentive and warm. A nicely done cafe in a historic building and a welcoming vibe. Would go out of my way to go back in the food-desert of Wyoming. They have something good going here. PS, would love to see local honey used. PPS, the fresh squeezed orange juice is a treat!

Yelp
This is my favorite breakfast place in Lander. I enjoy the fact that they stay as local as they can with the food as well as supporting local artists. The service is always very welcoming. Today Teagen toom excellent care of me. Love having some great classics playing in the restaurant. Typically I put in headphones when I eat out, but couldn't with the great tunes playing overhead. #thanksunclejoe

Yelp
$11.44 (food - 1/2 order banana foster. drink - water) The Middle Fork monologue: A place that only serves breakfast, brunch and lunch with indoor and outdoor dining, often times have good food. The Middle Fork was no exception. I appreciate when a chef curates french toast with unique breads. It's even more exciting and delectable when your hot meal is complemented with spreadable butter. This was a really fun dish to eat and of course I ate it all. I certainly would visit again to try some of their other dishes. I look forward to it. P.S. - I paid cash, so my meal was discounted. That was a nice treat.

Yelp
This place is great! Good service, good food and really cool restaurant overall. It all started with the fresh squeezed Orange Juice.

Yelp
This place is amazing. 10 out of 10 stars. Eggs Benedict for lunch!! (i'm not a morning person so I'll love that they serve breakfast until 2pm) They have both the classic and one with lobster and I'm telling you the classic classic is the best I've ever had. So inviting and friendly. Brought my dog and she loved it. We went twice. The second time I ordered a lunch meal, but I kind of wish I would've ordered eggs Benedict because you can get breakfast all day. And they remembered my dog.!!

Yelp
Great lunch/brunch spot!! We had the shakshuka and the chicken katsu sandwhich. They were both delicious! Very nice old cafe vibes and friendly service.

Yelp
Absolutely an amazing place in downtown Lander! Service was great, place was clean and the food was great, along with the coffee. I had the Country Fried Steak and it tasted just fine along with the Steamed Spinach. WOW! When in the area, this is a must stop.

Yelp
The Middle Fork features a cozy space, attentive staff, and great food. The outdoor space in the summertime is ideal for kids with the wiggles. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We were in Wyoming for baseball and looked up this place, there's not a whole bunch of places in this small town but this place looked good!! I love eggs Benedict and since I can't make them at home, I like to get them out places. These ones were a little different they come with spinach and tomatoes and a tarragon béarnaise sauce. It definitely gave it a little different taste than regular hollandaise sauce. I ordered it without tomatoes and a half order because I wasn't super hungry. If you like eggs Benedict and want to try a little different twist on it I'd get it. The potatoes were perfectly crispy too!! I don't like soggy potatoes or fries!! The service was nothing special but she was nice. They did say they had one cook so it was taking long which I always appreciate when they communicate plus I was in no hurry. We sat outside on their back porch and it was cute, with a little creek running through it!!! Pretty decent place in small town Wyoming.

Yelp
This was so worth the stop on my road trip for a relaxing and delicious lunch. The staff were welcoming and friendly of both me and my dog. I had good service and an incredible stake sandwich with tomato soup. Both I would get again. The outdoor patio area is lovely with a babbling brook running through it. I totally recommend!

Kim P.

Yelp
Excellent fresh food, quick service and charming creekside seating available. A hidden gem. Do not pass this by

H. H.

Yelp
Fairly slow service when the restaurant is only about half full. I had lunch here and it took 35 minutes to get my salad dish. The food was good, but the wait was not.

Charla P.

Yelp
Service very attentive and friendly. Food was above and beyond using local ingredients when possible. Loving the view and view.

Brian D.

Yelp
Great food. Great service. Great ambiance. My son has a dairy allergy and they were able to accommodate him very easily with great options. The food is all made in house and was very filling and tasty. I would be happy to go back again if we're ever in town again.

Zhenya Y.

Yelp
Great food. Portions are very big. Good service. The place has plenty of room to sit.

Mary S.

Yelp
If I stayed in this town for a week I would eat here every day! The quinoa bowl and banana French toast were SERIOUSLY GREAT! Wonderful service. Great outdoor seating area for dogs!

Yelp
This is my second time at Middle Fork. It is an adorable space but the service is horrible. The first time we dined there, the restaurant was not busy and it took forever to be acknowledged and once we were acknowledged, it took forever for the food to come out. The food was good but not worth the time. We went again today because our friends really wanted to go. They arrived before us and they ordered and let the server know we'd be joining them. When we sat down, we were not acknowledged for about 20 minutes. They took our order but did not offer refills or even seem to notice that out friends were still there. We got our drinks and then watched as every every other table was not acknowledged and the people who had finished their food had to get up and look for a server to get to-go boxes and their bills. We watched as new people came in and asked for tables to be cleared and they just dumped the old drinks on the ground. That was the last straw. By this point, it had been an hour for us and no sign of a server, no refills, no check-ins and no food. I had to go track down the server, tell her to give me the bill for our friends food and our drinks and to cancel our food. There was no apology, explanation; just attitude. I watched the other tables, this was happening to them too, so I'm not sure where all these raving reviews are coming from. It's a bummer. The menu and the food look great... if only you could actually receive it and have a server actually serve you.

Yelp
This place has great and Amazing food. It the best restaurant I've been in a long time are waitress was super good and kind I overall recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
After some 10+ days of hiking, peak bagging, rock climbing, roadtripping, and eating and drinking our way through Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, and North Dakota I can say... The Middle Fork was my favorite foodery of the whole dang trip! (and Lander my favorite town, but that's for another time) The first time we came the food was amazing, but the staff were definitely under-staffed and over-whelmed. The coffee refills were sparse. I'm glad we came back a second time, on a less busy (week) day and experienced stellar service! Maybe it's just because I live in Alaska, but I found the prices to be CHEAP and the quality to be HIGH! Everything was unique and lovingly made with local ingredients. When the food came out, everything was thoughtfully plated and gorgeous! This place makes me want to move to Lander. It's that good.

Dave L.

Yelp
Ate there a year ago also. Opens at 7, a serious breakfast place. Nice room, nice service , good coffee. Had the Frank's Special omelette, good crisped up taters. Was tasty and could not have asked for more.

Jason G.

Yelp
Super tasty and very friendly folks! Always go to to take company for breakfast, never disappoints.

Matty B.

Yelp
Just a few clicks southwest of the Wind River Mountains, in the small town of Lander, WY sits the best breakfast cafe I've experienced this century.... The Middle Fork. The eggs Benedict is both amazing and unique with the addition of spinach and fresh tomato. Everything we had would humble chefs in Paris and New York.

Olivia S.

Yelp
Stopping through Lander for breakfast and picked the best place! the service and environment was great! I got the Chili Huevos which was amazing, my dad got an omlet which was full of flavor as well. Highly recommend if you are in the area :)

brad s.

Yelp
Great food, even better service. Had some coffee drinks and the chili huevos was delicious. Nice chill atmosphere.

Dawn C.

Yelp
I had the Ruben the special rosemary mustard was amazing. I had a side salad with blue cheese. The dressing was great. My husband had the chicken thigh sandwich. We're not sure what the breading was but it wasn't crispy. I would no recommend that sandwich. The fries are fresh cut and delicious. We also ordered a Bloody Mary with bacon yummy!

Linda B.

Yelp
Awesome restaurant. We go all of the time. Great service, super friendly staff and excellent food all of the time, no matter what I order. I highly recommend it!

Sherry M.

Yelp
My favorite place to eat in Lander. I love the outdoor dining, it's a beautiful place to eat & relax and they allow pets in the outdoor dining The food is always fresh and delicious.

Scott N.

Yelp
Excellent service. Excellent food and friendly people and atmosphere. The atmosphere was also wonderful. This place has an old Wyoming atmosphere.

Eric P.

Yelp
good food, nice staff and location - worth the stop at The Middle Fork for breakfast or lunch.............

Shobey E.

Yelp
Minus one for gravel outdoor dining and difficult chairs. Light string would be great but this place is only open for breakfast and lunch, so no need. Overall underwhelming, but kids can run around outside.

Cathi S.

Yelp
We are in town for just a few days and decided to try breakfast here. We were greated promptly and allowed to seat ourselves. I chose outside over the stream. My DH and I split the pancake breakfast because neither of us needs to eat the whole thing. The pancakes had that nice bite of sour dough flavor, the bacon was crisp - just the way I like it. The eggs were cooked as ordered and the added potatoes were seasoned nicely. We may have to go back for lunch.

Suzanne H.

Yelp
I love their mimosas! So light and refreshing! My husband ordered the Wyoming omelet and I was feeling like I had to get something healthy to make up for the booze so I got some sort of veggie quinoa bowl. I took a bite of the omelet and it was really yummy, but my healthy quinoa bowl turned out to be incredibly delicious too! I can't remember what it was called but it had quinoa, goat cheese, arugula, tomatoes, and oh wow I wish I was eating it right now. Also - the atmosphere is really charming! The food is really hip and sophisticated so you'd think it would be a bit stuffy and snobby inside - but it's not! We even had our rowdy little toddler there, and they brought him crayons and a kid's menu which he loved. I can't recommend this place enough!

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Our server was pleasant, but the food took a long time to arrive even though there were almost as many wait staff as customers. I had the eggs w/ potatoes and bacon. The steamed spinach was a nice touch, but the potatoes were over-done and old. My husband had the biscuit & gravy and said it was worth the wait.

Kelly R.

Yelp
Cute little place with a clean, homey feel. Had breakfast and it was fantastic. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back anytime I am in Lander.

Quanah P.

Yelp
2nd time eating brunch here. Locally sourced good food. Cute atmosphere. Good spot for a meal. Sometime I will try the beignets. Mmm. For Lander this is a great find :)

Lark M.

Yelp
I have been here 5 days and eaten at Middle Fork 4 times . It is more than good food . This restaurant is filled with good people . They care about making you comfortable. They help you make the best choices . They never rush you . They pack up your left overs like my mother packed my school lunches . Mix all this together and you get one sweet , delicious, loving way to start your day the best way possible.

Darlene B.

Yelp
Visited Lander for the first time with my boyfriend and we had breakfast here twice. My favorite was the power bowl. Maybe the most satisfying breakfast I've ever had. The staff is all extremely friendly and warm. We really can't imagine getting breakfast anywhere else when we come. It just feels nice to get a truly well made meal with genuinely kind and warm people.

Ritu R.

Yelp
Such a innovative menu and peaceful setting for brunch! We are beyond blown away by the quality of our experience. My husband had a half order of the biscuits and gravy and a WY omelette and cleared his plate! I had the Benedict with no bacon and it was freaking delicious! Perfect seasoning in the hollandaise and the English muffins were so crispy it out of the perfect texture. The breakfast potatoes are delicious and so are the fries so I recommend you get both of them! Come by here when you get a chance, you won't regret it!!!

Sarah H.

Yelp
We found ourselves passing through Lander. After reading the reviews, we knew we should stop at The Middle Fork and we are so glad we did! We enjoyed brunch on the side patio under the Wyoming sky. We ordered the Bahn Mi, a cheeseburger with fried jalapeños and fry sauce, and the raspberry strudel. Everything was delicious, and the Bahn Mi was outstanding. Five stars for food, service and ambiance. Well done, The Middle Fork! Looking forward to our next visit!

Jack H.

Yelp
The hamburger my wife had was overcooked and the steak sandwich I had was pretty darn good. The service was fine but maybe because we sat by a window, we couldn't focus on our lunch or even a nice conversation because we were beset by half a dozen or so flies buzzing our food and ourselves while we ate. The prices were fair for the food we received.

Wyo C.

Yelp
First, the positive - my omlet was good and the food came out really fast. The server was very sweet. She seemed young and might need a bit more guidance, which is not her fault. Everything, including the restrooms, was very clean. The downside - I think the reason it was so fast is because everything except the eggs was pre-cooked. The toast, potatoes, and bacon were all cold. When we told our server, the response was "I'll let the kitchen know," which needed to happen, but it doesn't help us. This is where I think she might need some guidance on how to deal with a situation like that. There was no offer to do anything that was going to improve our experience. Not likely that we'll return on our next trip.

Phoebe P.

Yelp
I felt like a local very friendly and delicious the sourdough pancakes were awesome as well

Ed W.

Yelp
We frequently dine here for breakfast or lunch. In the summer there is outside dining which is relaxing. Food is good, service is good, so what's not to like?

Lauren H.

Yelp
Wandered into Lander with some friends and we were stoked to find this awesome brunch spot! Great stop to fill up on french toast and mimosas before a day of fishing in the mountains

Gabriel P.

Yelp
Super cool lunch spot with a trendy brewery-feel to it. Outdoor seating has a small boardwalk alongside a little ravine, not to mention the beautiful artwork on the inside of the restaurant. The food was exceptional, we ordered the fried chicken sandwich and the burger; and holy cow the fry sauce is AMAZING! Also top of the list was the heff and lager beers (which are from the local brewery) and were perfect for the hot day. Highly recommend!!

Tom S.

Yelp
Nice service, good food, pleasant indoor or outdoor dining.

Christi O.

Yelp
This is a regular stop for us ...actually our favorite. The food is consistently good and the staff are so attentive and friendly! Everyone helps each other to serve the customer. We have found the Middle Fork sets the bar so high that other places pale in comparison. Baked Chili Huevos are amazing, sourdough pancakes and biscuits and gravy...great! Never really had anything we didn't like.

Jessica C.

Yelp
Super kind staff, clean restroom, and DELICIOUS FOOD. The staff wore masks. However it was AMAZING to have the salt and pepper back on the table.

Esperanza R.

Yelp
Love their quiche, this is the perfect breakfast spot! The service is friendly a great place to eat and have your mimosas

Lincoln D.

Yelp
I'm giving this 2 stars because it's certainly not for somebody who has places to be. I ordered a turkey sandwich with NO tomato pesto. Guess what they went right ahead and slapped the pesto on there. The service was very friendly when they finally came to my table. I WAITED 50 minutes for a turkey sandwich. The food was alright just not worth waiting 50 mins for. I really liked the decorations and the outdoor seating. And the over feel of the restaurant was kind of quiet because of the silverware NOT clinging around. Cause nobody got their food. Overall the fries were pretty good BUT DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOURE IN A HURRY
