Simply awesome. From entering the bar to the service and (of course) the drinks, The Milk Thistle wowed us all the way. My non-drinking partner raved about her custom non-alcoholic drink the team whipped up, calling it the 'best drink she ever had'. And my whisky-forward beverage, with mango beads (caviar) of all things... amazing. Definitely check it out if you're in the center of Bristol!

Cocktails were perfectly tasty but the service was slow. It was extremely dark as well so was hard to actually see your drinks/the menu! They also put in HUGE ice cubes so the quantity of drink is ridiculous for the price! Wouldn’t recommend going as a bigger group as we were there for an hour and a half and only managed to get one drink served in that time! Was a ‘cool’, ‘alternative’ place to try out though!

Didn't eat there but had plenty of drinks. The people were very nice and informative.

Met my partner here for our first date and went back for our anniversary. They gave us a complimentary glasses of prosecco when we arrived and made us feel really special. Cocktails were amazing as always. Thanks for a lovely night!

One of my favorite cocktail bars in Bristol! It has a cool concept and great drinks. There are plenty of options and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Spent a wonderful few hours here trying some stunning cocktails, was extremely impressed when, after coming back from the toilet to find my gin martini had been put in refrigeration to maintain the flavours. Above and beyond, go you won’t be disappointed and if you get Stew as your host you should listen to his advice 👌

Lovely bar to try something a bit different and staff very friendly. Personal taste - wasn’t too sure about some of the drinks on the menu but staff were happy to make something off menu too just had to ask😊

We had a cocktail class with Charlie. Took us on a tour of three different eras of drinks. He also, based on our flavour preferences, tailored each drink to us. Delicious drinks and we had a lot of fun! Would recommend.

Yelp
Knock and enter. Pre book is advised. Knock at the door and you are greeted and welcomed. There is a small sign outside that shows this place but it is NOT a loud bar. Could be described as a speak easy. Classy place to bring a date or your partner. Just pleasant! Great cocktails and not much of a beer place for sure. Romantic and classy.

Yelp
Everything and anything you expect from a speakeasy cocktail bar. Very talented mixologist and very willing to please with customizable drinks to perfection. Extremely precise, kind and funny. Most fantastic playlist I have heard in a very long time at any bar. I Took some photos and filmed some film and they were very appreciative and excited about the beautiful results. The decor is specific. Not my personal taste as a vegetarian but because of the extra dim pretty lighting I got over it. The only thing I didn't like. Best I've been to in Europe.

Yelp
Awesome speakeasy. Just ring the bell! As good as any similar place I've been to in Brum or London, but the service and general friendliness is much better than the latter. Tom is a legend of a barman, if you choose to barstool it. The drinks I had were excellent - bourbon based (as the rest of my night had that theme) but the menu looked very interesting. Looking forward to seeing them in Brum when they do battle with a local bar!

Yelp
I want to review this so bad but don't want anyone else to know about this amazingly little find!!! Prohibition bar hidden in the centre of town is just what the doctor ordered. Making drinks that would normally blow you head off when mixed with a cheap mixer just work so so well with their amazing recipes. They will make anything you want and not make a scene about it. It's a great place to impress someone, smaller groups the better as it's not a large space downstairs - which is great. They have two venue rooms upstairs, brilliantly furnished, which are great for birthdays or work nights out. A brilliant spot, always like to treat a friend there 5/5.

Yelp
I've been here a few times with various friends and i like it but i'm def not WOW about it. The drinks are super expensive and they do taste good but i've had better, for less. Its def advisable to book a table as we had to wait 40 mins for one. The decor is great with darker furnishings and lights. It has a very relaxed atmosphere, def not a chav tastic kind of place like the water front which is a bonus! The menu is quite big with options to have a 20s version of a pitcher which is served in a very classy silver bowl including ladle. It's def a good spot if you want to try some where new, something special or romantic. I like it enough to go if someone else wanted to but i wouldn't be the first to suggest it.

Yelp
Perfect spot to wind up a great night. My partner and I love to challenge the bartenders to make us something special, but their cocktail list is pretty brilliant as well. Call ahead to make a reservation, and adhere to the rules (stay at your table, don't bother other patrons unless they want to be bothered, stay classy, etc.) this is not a pickup spot, but a place to go with a date or group of friends for deliciously poured cocktails and a great chill atmosphere. Love the guys in suspenders!

Yelp
I went to both Milk Thistle and Hyde&Co when I visited Bristol, the cocktails were amazing and the ambiance is just so dreamy! It's like I'm totally in 1920-ish fancy speakeasy! Took a while to find the place, but there's certainly excitement and fun in the adventure. Better than most the speakeasies I went in London, the space wasn't small but it was quiet and intimate.

Yelp
Nowhere near as good as it thinks it is. Arrogant staff and terrible wine. Cocktails are passable but not good. Much better places to go in Bristol

Yelp
Went here last week and it was terrible. The place was dead, but we ordered a drink anyway. There was a bartender wandering around taking swigs out of a bottle while the other made our drinks. Not surprisingly, the drinks were terrible, and we left. Real shame as the building was lovely.
