Built to last: The changing landscapes of Hong Kong architecture - SilverKris
"A repurposed cotton mill that transforms industrial textile heritage into a light-filled fashion, textile arts and innovation hub. Once a factory that produced millions of pounds of yarn, the redevelopment combines exhibition spaces, workshops and an on-site incubator and fund that supports tech-focused fashion startups with six-figure to multimillion-dollar investments. The project—driven by the founder's descendant—promotes a ‘techstyle’ ethos that blends technology and design, and currently opens midweek through the weekend for interactive shows, rooftop screenings and events. Visible reminders of the past, such as salvaged fire buckets, an original factory door with the old logo and upcycled window frames, sit alongside plans for garden-grown produce to supply some diners on site." - Chris Dwyer
