The 22 Best Things to Do in Oslo in 2025

"I noted that the Viking Museum is linked to the Historical Museum ticketing (free entry if used within 48 hours), but it is currently closed for renovations and scheduled to reopen in 2026." - Matthew Kepnes

The Vikings Museum in Minnesota was an really cool experience—both entertaining and educational. From the moment I walked in, the exhibits captured my attention with their attention to detail and interactive displays. The blend of history, culture, and football was well-curated, making it enjoyable for fans of all ages. I especially appreciated learning about the origins of the Vikings team, legendary players, and iconic moments. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. It’s more than just a sports museum—it’s a celebration of Minnesota pride and tradition. I highly recommend visiting if you're in the area.

My husband and I went to the Minnesota Vikings Museum on May 4th, 2025 for my birthday. I have been wanting to go for a long time and I thought it would be a great activity for my birthday. We really enjoy our time at the museum. Peder (I think that is how you spell him name), who sold us the tickets was really helpful and gave great directions and was available to answer any questions we had. He was wonderful!! The team store was also fun to shop at. I want to come visit again and bring more of my family to visit.

Super fun! Day to spend with former Viking Clinton Jones #26

Being a long time Vikings fan, I lived many on the moments that are encompasses in the museum. It was great to re-live them on the digital screen. I also enjoyed the old seating chairs and map layouts from the past stadiums. The wall of "coach's" was a fun to read about too. Well worth the $14. Also there is a beer tent, light show, ice rink, and market all outside that you can also enjoy.

Just a stunning amount of artifacts and history from the many years of Minnesota Vikings football. Incredible detail and just a classy display of the history of the Minnesota Vikings. A must see if you’re a Vikes fan!

Came here back in 2021, and spent well over 3 hours pacing through the exhibits. Still blown away by the amount of memorabilia and carefully crafted storytelling of the teams history. A must visit for die hard and developing Viking and NFL fans alike.

Great experience! Friendly staff. So much Vikings history in one spot. Bringing the Minnesota Vikings training camp to Eagan was a great decision. Love this location in Eagan!

I was there for a work event. Not a vikings fan, but I will say it's put together nicely. It's clean and plenty of room to walk around.

Yelp
If you're a Vikings fan this is a must and for only $15 for an adult it's a steal of an adventure. Packed full of history from 1961 to present it's a great reminder of why you love the vikes! We even had the pleasure of meeting Joe Jackson who was there visiting a former Viking who played along like the purple people eaters of the 1970s! SKOL

Yelp
Lots of history. We'll worth the admission price. We spent over an hour walking around and they have an amazing gift store

Yelp
So I'm definitely not a fan of the Vikings lol, I'm a die hard Seahawks fan; but my co worker and I were near this place and he wanted to stop by, so i tagged along it was nice place but i will always be a Seahawks fan!!!! The only bad part of this place was the bath rooms. They were gross.

Yelp
"History". Learn more about the Vikings history when you visit this museum. I really enjoyed the voice recordings of some of the Viking legends and coaches through the years. I would give yourself a minimum of two hours to really see everything this museum has to offer.

Yelp
Nice collection of items from the Vikings history. The seat and turnstile from the Met Stadium were nostalgic. The Metrodome items not so much. The price is too high. They do offer some discounts for seniors and military. The Bud Grant exhibit was great. They have some video clips of highlights that you can select. We watched the "Minneapolis Miracle" several times. Beating the Saints after Bounty Gate - Priceless. I enjoyed the older items the most up through the Purple People Eaters. Carl Eller was in attendance when we visited and that was a highlight.

Yelp
So cool to see this in person! Been a Minnesota Vikings fan since I was a kid and now living out of state most of my adult life. I still stay faithful as a fan even through all the ups and downs the team has had. This museum highlights some of the greats that have worn the Purple uniform in the past including Adrian Peterson and Chris Carter and Randy Moss just to name a few. What a great look into the history of the past stadiums we have had over the years as well. After the tour of the stadium there's a Vikings store across with all the Vikings gear you could need. Who knows who you might run into here as well since it's right at the Vikings training camp and practices. Would love to come back in the summer and attend a training camp to watch here before the season kicks off.

Yelp
My husband is a diehard lifelong Vikings fan and we had a chance to visit the museum during a recent trip. There was so much Viking history from the very first Viking drafted to pictures of current players looking at the displays in as much amazement as we were. The workers were very friendly and knowledgeable. The interactive displays were awesome. A definite must see for Viking fans

Yelp
It is okay for adults, but please do not bring your children here as it is not kid-friendly. We had a group field trip here and it went horribly. It only took about 20 minutes to get thru the entire museum and we were not allowed in at our scheduled time because there was another tour happening that couldn't be bothered. It definitely is not worth the money to see. The tour guides were also not the most personable people either as they were rude.

Yelp
I can't believe how many artifacts there were! My ten and nine year old nephews loved it and my six year old niece loved playing on the helmet car. I will be bringing the rest of the family here for sure. We spent almost two hours looking through all the history!
