The Mizen Head

We booked for one night and wished we'd stayed a week! Wonderfully clean and comfortable room. Delicious breakfast. Fabulous views from the corner suite. Absolutely THE very best seafood dinner we've ever eaten. Staff were excellent, attention to detail was faultless. The food was exceptional. Not back in England for another year, but we'll definitely visit again. An absolute joy.

Perfectly situated with a good size carpark. We stopped overnight and dined in the restaurant in the evening. Couldn't fault the room, very spacious, clean and quiet. The meal in the evening was fantastic, wine slightly on the pricey side maybe? Star of the show had to be breakfast in the morning. When we return we will stay here again.

Lovely fish centred restaurant. Extensive wine list, well chosen and fresh locally sourced fish and sea food. Seahouses crab and pepper soup a highlight. Great deserts and a selection of desert wines is an indication of intent to be a serious restaurant. Staff attentive and friendly. All together a great experience

We love this place. We've stayed before, the location, bar and restaurant are all fantastic. The staff are lovely and work so hard to make your stay enjoyable. The highlight is probably the restaurant, particularly the seafood. Highly recommended, Bamburgh is lovely anyway but staying here makes it extra special.

High quality seafood restaurant with a well proportioned hotel attached. I rank this higher as a seafood restaurant than as a hotel simply because good quality boutique hotels are more common today than good seafood restaurants. The secret to good seafood is excellent suppliers and the minimum of fuss and Mizen Head gets both spot on. Wine list was sensible and well structured and the selection of gin and whisky commendable. Overall a great place for a luxury break away for a night or two. My only complaint was the WiFi. It was useless in our room and no better in the public rooms. Thankfully I was taking time off from the digital world.

The restaurant is excellent, has an extensive and interesting seafood menu, good steaks and a choice of vegetarian dishes, so something for everyone. Was a little bit disappointed with the room we had, starting to be a little tired.

Very comfortable room with a fantastic view. And great that it is not too hot at night. Lovely seafood dinner (seafood curry and halibut tagine. Mmmm) and very friendly and accommodating staff. Recommended.

We were recommended to try this restaurant, brilliant staff, helpful and very friendly, excellent food and excellent service, seafood was amazing. Would definitely go here again when in the area.
