The Modernist Hotel

Probably one of the best hotel where I stayed! The location was perfect, the main sights were 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel. The room was modern and clean, but the overall atmosphere of the hotel was so modern and I loved it. Considering that this hotel is in the city centre, fortunately the room was really quiet, and the walls are soundproofed. Huge variety of food for breakfast. Just worth to mention: I came with a car, and booking.com claims they provide parking slot, which I don't think is true, therefore I parked my car in a parking garage nearby. So bare this in mind. Overall I highly recommend this hotel!

We were very satisfied with our stay at the **Modernist Hotel in Trieste**. The location is truly unbeatable – right in the city center, so you can easily reach everything on foot. Because it is directly on Corso Italia, it can of course be a bit noisy if you open the window, but in return you are right in the heart of the city. The staff were friendly and we felt well taken care of. Overall, a highly recommended hotel for anyone who wants to experience Trieste from a central location.

Nice and modern hotel in a perfect location in the city center of Trieste. Breakfast was delicious, service was very friendly and the hotel is dog friendly, we even got a small bowl for our dog as well as a small package including a ball, treats and poop bags :-) Room was clean and modern, but small. Only reason for only giving 4 of 5 stars is the limited space in a) the room (storage of two suitcases barely possible, but also no cabinet which is big enough to unpack and b) the bathroom was so small, no possibilities to store the stuff and the shower itself was miniature so that a bigger person may have issues to fit in. Also there was water leaking out of the shower and there was not even a possibility to store a razor inside the shower, so everything needs to be put down on the floor. But besides of the size of bathroom/room, we liked this place a lot, parking is also very near and you get the usual 15% off.

We arrived as a group of 7 friends, couples, at this wonderful hotel Modernist, located in the heart of Thessaloniki. Kind, welcoming, professional, smiling staff and I could go on and on. Clean rooms, rich breakfast on the roof of the hotel which is rich in vegetation. Explanation and help with any question or problem. The staff is always ready to provide 100% service. A pleasure. We are thinking of returning. Hopefully it will be soon. Highly recommended!!

I'm uncertain as to whether this hotel provides amenities such as guest shampoo/conditioner or tissues ,however,our room did not have any of these,infact there was an empty tissue caddy. In addition to the above,the bedside lamps on either side did not work and the PowerPoint on the window sideways not screwed into the wall properly. At the level/price the hotel sits,I would have expected something a little different. On a positive note,the staff were pleasant enough and the breakfast was good

We are currently staying at this hotel . We flew into Trieste for two nights before our cruise .|Before arrival , any questions we had were swiftly answered . The hotel arranged a transfer from the airport by taxi which all went really smoothly . The receptionists were so friendly and welcoming.|The area outside the hotel is clean and safe . The building is beautiful. The room is spotless and the decor has been sympathetically considered.|We are staying on a Sunday and Monday so I am not in a position to comment on the level of noise from a lively night in the bar! One thing to mention is that no food is served in the Bistro on a Sunday but there are plenty of other options in close proximity.|Generally we stay at well known brand hotels like the Marriott, Anantara , Waldorf etc . This boutique hotel , however, is just lovely and I am so glad we decided to stay here.

Modern design hotel in an old palais, great central location. Love the decor. Live plants on the wall - very cool. Nice breakfast. I saw two rooms - travelling with my mom; gave her the nicer / more spacious one. In my new room - broken bedside lamp, bathroom tap only works if you turn it up full (saving water not an option), wifi connection not functioning (wifi setup per room?!). So some pretty basic things not fully functional. Young staff that is friendly but very slow to respond to requests; hangs out at the bar (?! so I won’t). Watched while the bartender made me a drink with as much water as ice. Forgot to serve the coffee I ordered for breakfast as they were busy chatting. Annoyed enough with them overall to post this review. Maybe I’m being harsh but this feels like unnecessary carelessness to details that change the quality of a guest’s experience. If I could do 3.5 stars I would. Ciao.

We stayed for two nights in a budget double room on the first floor. The hotel was quiet, and the room and amenities were satisfactory. The only downside was that the air-conditioning seemed to work only at certain times. The location is about a 15-minute walk from the train station and close to everything you might need. There’s even an amazing traditional games shop just across the road.
