The Moken Eco Village

I really do not want to review this resort as I want to keep it a secret but it just does not seem right considering how amazing it is. Even before we arrived, the customer service was outstanding. Pam replied promptly to all our queries, organised transfers from Phuket airport to the resort and then even transfers to our next resort which was provided by a local fisherman. The resort itself is very much off the beaten track, it takes about 3.5 hours to get there from Phuket airport (car, boat, jeep) but that is the charm of it, it is very quiet and secluded, located in a spectacular setting. On the whole side of the island there are merely a few resorts and in my opinion Moken is the best one. It is truly Thailand as it once was. Granted there is no air conditioning, only one mains plug (they just got the mains electricity this year) but if there ever was a place made for R&R, then this is it. We stayed seven nights in a bungalow called Hornbill and it was magical. Open style Thai bungalow with great terrace, nice sea view, shaded and on the edge of the resort. The food was amazing, kitchen staff were amazing in accommodating our appetite for spicy food, the waiting staff were genuine, friendly, polite and provided great service. There are a few other resorts along the beach to go to and have lunch/drink, but it is all very relaxed and low key. If I were to be very picky, the only two things I would point out would be that the bed was very hard (but they normally are in Thailand) and the fact that the fans are very far from the bed, so at night it was quite hot as the breeze hardly reaches the bed. But those two things were such a minor issues that I only mention them as there is nothing else to point out. Prices in the restaurant are very affordable and considering how remote you are, quite low. On leaving the resort I left my water bottle behind and Pam organised for it to be delivered to the next resort where we were staying. If that does not show commitment to customer service than I really don't know what does. Thank you Pam and all your staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

The Moken Eco Village is quite simply one of the most wonderful places we have ever been. The welcome from staff was warm and genuine right from being met at Khuraburi. The accommodation was beautiful and well maintained. The activities were fun and varied. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious with a range of food that completely satisfied the whole family. I would recommend 100%.

We felt extremely comfortable from start to finish in the "Moken Eco Village"! Pam did a great job and the entire staff was wonderfully attentive and courteous. The food was always delicious and fresh. Our cabin was kept very clean and the nature around us is unique and beautiful. On Koh Phrathong you really have your peace and quiet and at the same time there are enough activities so that you never get bored. Our stay on the island was an unforgettable experience.

New Favorite place. Pam arranged our whole trip from Phuket. Private drivers, a night in Khura Buri, a snorkeling trip to the Surin Islands. Everybody we interacted with was so kind and all transport was on time. My family felt so well taken care of. ||If you are looking for a beautiful place to relax, sea kayak, bird watch and snorkel, this is the spot.

Situated at the lovely island, the owner was really kind to help me find my lost water bottle late at night. The room was nice and clean with mosquito net. One can also hang the net at the balcony! Good wifi connection! There are also pancakes for breakfast, how wonderful!

I didn't stay in the Moken Eco village. I only visited their restaurant. The food was delicious and so were their smoothies. Worth trying their spring rolls and shrimps cooked in tamarind sauce .

Their warm hospitality, attentiveness, and professionalism rival that of any luxury hotel. They also arranged a seamless and safe transfer to the resort, making our journey completely stress-free. The setting is pure wilderness—lush forests, exotic birds like hornbills and paradise flycatchers, and the mesmerizing sounds of cicadas at night. One of the highlights of our stay was an early-morning guided trek across the savanna, where we had the chance to spot rare wild birds. The pristine, untouched beach was another highlight: a long stretch of powdery white sand, crystal-clear waters, and not a single footprint in sight. We chose Moken Eco Village for our honeymoon, and we couldn’t have imagined a more perfect destination. It offered everything we dreamed of: unspoiled nature, peace, tranquility, and a beach that felt like it belonged to another world. Moken Eco Village is truly one of the wonders of this world. For those seeking an escape from the noise and chaos of modern life, this is the ultimate paradise. We left with hearts full of joy and memories that will last a lifetime. We can't recommend it highly enough!

My 1st time to go to Pra Thong Island, Phang Nga with my friends and I absolutely book a room at The Moken Eco Village. If I go to visit this Island, I will stay at this resort only. Why not? Because this resort is private with long beach and 15 Villas.|Staff are very nice, friendly and advise many activities to do between stay here such as; diving, kayaking, see the sun rise at Savanna must do!!!|My Villa' s name is Savanna and room rate included breakfast that you can select a la cart; ABF, Thai breakfast style or vegetalian food.
