Great service and fun games! The only problem was the cigarette smokers made it impossible to enjoy part of the space and ran us out of the building since I’m super sensitive to the smell. Loved the vending machine!

Hands down, best place for Espresso Martinis! They have a great selection of unique espresso martini options. Bartenders and atmosphere was on point. Will be back very soon!

My first time there cuz Brandon the Karaoke DJ 🎤 was there and was the one that told me about it, we met at the college inn doing Karaoke 🎤 there and I was looking for a place on Wednesday night to sing and I have found it, however it starts at 10:30pm to 12am which I thought was weird cuz I've been singing Karaoke in Denver for about 10 years now and it's always 4 hours long, like 9pm to 1am and two places goes from 7pm to 1:45am which is the Park Centre Lounge and Whispers on Havana...I personally love the Park Centre Lounge.

I’ve gone to this bar the last couple times visiting my friend - awesome burrito, fire spicy pickle shots! Just the lights are too bright but a good dive!

Local watering hole with a decent little back patio that goes missed if you’ve never been (through the back right behind bar). Have some games and beer pong on some nights. Nothing special but suffices for getting a local drink.

They definitely WATER DOWN LIQUOR!!!!! Their chilled tequila is “chilled water” BE CAREFUL. Ive been a couple times and each time after taking a straight shot……I dont taste anything let alone feel anything on my throat! People drink to feel at least a kick on the throat. Its straight water or water down liquor. Dont waste your money.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but man is this place loud! Its too loud to talk, for sure. And just on the cusp of being unbearable. That being said, the espresso martini are truly great. We are glad we went for the one drink, but wish we could have stayed longer to try more. To be clear, we had the time to stay longer, but the noise level made it not worth it. The service is top tier. They bring out water right away, refill water quickly, clear empties quickly, and check in regularly. The espresso martini flight (coconut, tiramusi, and salted caramel) was not only delicious, but came on a cute light up board with different cartoon character. Thats fun!

I mean, at least if you took that antique 100 for me, the owner could at least got me a drink or something That was really messed up, but I forgive I'm just disappointed

They took down my last review, not sure why, but this place was the WORST. My boyfriend and I decided to grab a drink here and as we walked in we noticed how dead it was- not an issue. But we were not greeted and the bartender was extremely rude. I ordered a simple drink and the bartender laughed and said "we don't have the ingredients to make that" okay all good but rude delivery. After ordering a drink I asked where the restroom was (because it was my first time there) he again was rude and said it's the door with the big sign on it. The guys was a douche to say the least. I really wanted to give this place a shot but the last straw was the bartender and staff making anti-Semitic jokes and other off color jokes. Don't waste your time or money in this dump. Bad experience overall.

Our favorite neighborhood dive ... can get very full depending on the night but the drinks are cheap and the darts are free!!

Went for a drink with some friends, chose this bar for being close. Accidentally grabbed wrong debit card and was harassed the entire time my partner went to grab the correct one. As a restaurant owner the unprofessional and disrespect was unmatched. Bartender knowing the situation continued to harass me while my partner drove two minutes away to obtain the other form of payment. It was a hostile environment from the moment we stepped in. Was treated as a criminal before the fact. It was clear we were not welcome before we stepped in the door. Such a shame considering I have had great experiences at other locations.

Sayla and Welly are so awesome!!! They have the best customer service and are sooooo sooo friendly!!!! I love coming here for the vibes and they have all the games!!! If you have the chance, come by, I've made new friends every time I've been in!!!!

Pleasantly surprised with the espresso martini flight at The Monkey Bar! I ordered the flight and they were way less sweet than I anticipated genuinely complex in flavor. The bartenders were friendly and atmosphere was intimate. I would definitely come back! Also interested in trying the Welton Room.

My drinks were a great price. Amazing customer service and smiles. No attitude from any bartender. Great music. Games. I enjoyed my time so much!

This is a fun, neighborhood bar with inexpensive drinks and a free comedy show on Monday nights. It's a great spot for pickle shots, well drinks and PBRs. The comedy show was a mix of local talent and would make for a fun date night or girls night out. Don't confuse this place with the Monkey Barrel, they are completely different styles of bar and completely different neighborhoods.

Fun place to grab drinks on first Friday, prices were good, they had darts and beer pong set up. Limited inside seating, but plenty of standing room.

Nooooo, don't come here!! Monkey Bar is so misleading. Don't get me wrong... The bartenders rock, and who doesn't love beer pong? But it's such college vibes with the plastic bottle gin I didn't notice before getting the worst hangover of the decade. If you're only here for the karaoke and games, you'll probably have a blast. Otherwise stay far away from whatever pre-made punches are on tap (apparently I didn't know better as a 30 year old, to the point where the bartender warned me) but I like the dog friendliness!!

I live super close and come here frequently. They usually have a dj on the weekend and dive bar vibes during the week. Tanner and Joey are awesome bartenders

Went here for a pre-deployment party. It was a perfect choice. Drink prices were reasonable and good people running the place. Had a bad meal pre-party so ordered pizzas right to the bar.

If you like free darts and beer pong this is the place for you. Drinks are cheap and I spent most of my time feeding dollars into the touch toons. Service isn't bad and bar tenders are friendly. If you go here on a week night, there's about 15 people in there total. Very low key dive bar that I will be definitely going to again.

The coolest local bar in town. Something is always happening at The Monkey Bar: karaoke nights, comedy, and recently they added a game room with ping pong, pool, and more! It's a great way to stay entertained, this place is super sweet

My friend introduced me to this place & I just loved it. Great food; especially the burgers. Messy good. Bartenders were very friendly & I loved the eclectic ambiance. Worth the drive.

My friends and I decided to check out this bar because we had heard good things about the games they had to offer. The drinks were well priced and they did have a lot to offer in terms of games. However, the service switched that for us and we decided to leave shortly after arriving. We had no alcohol in our system upon arrival and had to use the restroom. The first bathroom walking in was obviously very dirty and unkept. A dirty mop bucket full of brown water was propping the door open to the one stall restroom - a universal sign that it is not available for use. The other restroom however was open and we didn't fully realize that the single stall bathrooms were not unisex, which honestly shouldn't be an issue considering it is single stall. I went in to see that the door had wood chipped out and was not able to be closed or locked and went out to ask my friend to watch the door, only to find the bartender standing outside the door, angry, and verbally disrespectful. I later found out he mentioned to my friends that it was the men's restroom and that they don't allow it to lock, don't keep toilet paper in there, nor a toilet seat to specifically prevent women from using it. Not only that, but had I been using the restroom, my friends told me he was ready to walk into the restroom violating my privacy to get me out. Maybe if your restrooms were cleaner for your patrons, we wouldn't have had that issue and maybe if your service was better you'd be getting a better review. Highly disappointed in arguably the most important part of running a business. The other 1 star reviews say a lot about the type of people that run this bar.

Love this bar even it's kinda out of the city center where all other bars are. They have the inside bar with games and where (only 2!) bathrooms are.!5)3! There's the outside area with benches and a pool table. This spot is really cool and the drinks are expensive but then serve about double the regular size! We stayed here until closing time!! So much fun. Not 5 stars because lack of bathrooms and the bartender did not want to be there and he was unfortunately the only one working to serve the whole crowd.

Super divey bar but they have fun games and allow dogs which is a HUGE plus! It seems to be a pretty popular community bar with fair prices! I also love that they had a SEGA!

Still a solid place. The people are degraded. The "beer" pong tables are water pong. Sort of like playing darts on a flat surface. Not all bad. But don't say beer pong. Otherwise a nice neighborhood bar. Though I would say the number of nice people has dropped even though the bartenders and prices are still rad. But they are pretty much all country music now. Seriously?

I went to monkey bar for my birthday and Jeremy the bartender blew my mind on how much fun I can have on a Tuesday! Their pickle shots are to die for and will get the job done! They have games and a fun group of people that seem to be family and welcomed me in immediately!

This place is like a high school or college party without worrying about the MIPs since you actually have to be legal to come in. Beer pong rules are posted on the wall to squash most arguments, though you will spend a good portion of the game searching around people and tables to find the stray balls. If pong's not your thing, there's shuffle board, pool, ping pong, darts, giant jenga, 4 person pac man, and Mario kart (seriously!) And popcorn! My favorite moment at this bar was during a onsie party when 4 non blonds "what's going on" came on the juke box and the entire bar started belting it complete with dramaticly raised fists and closed eyes. I have a video, but I don't think my friends would want me to post it.

I came here with a group of friends after a wedding rehearsal party, and we had a great time. When you walk in, it is a bit akward to navigate due to two large beer long tables right in front. The bathrooms were pretty gross. My favorite thing is that you can play pool for free outside if you're brave enough to handle the cold.

Found this place last night for the first time. What a gem. Great bartenders. Such a fun environment. Loved all the games and the patio was so awesome too. New favorite. Keep it up!

It does the job. I came here on a slow weekday night, but I can imagine this place being super packed on the weekends. This was a nice and cozy dive bar with tons of fun things to do. I'll definitely be coming back during my next trip to Denver.

I live within walking distance and was looking forward to trying this place. Walked in on a weekday night when there was open seats at the bar. I have never walked into a bar and had the bartender see us, then immediately be really busy and ignore us while we stand there waiting. Never acknowledged our presence. Never looked up once after watching us come inside. We left without saying or buying a thing. Such a bummer.

Stopped in late last Thursday night after flying in from Chicago. My 2 daughters and I had a great time. Beer was cold, bartenders were friendly, there were games to be played and pickle shots were yummy! We all loved it!! Thanks!!

This place is awesome. It's a small bar with a LOT to do. They offer darts, shuffle board, beer pong, etc. The service was so good. We got our drinks very quickly for how busy it was. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely go back when we visit again. The establishment was very clean both in the bar and the restrooms. The staff was so friendly and made good conversation between making drinks. We had the BEST time.

It's fun and cool without trying too hard, and has a positive vibe. Ended up here on accident because Renegade closes at 8pm on Sunday's, happy I did. Fun, chill, plenty to do, and genuine people working there. Decent selection of beers, but not mind blowing, and full bar. It amazes me how few options are in this area, but thankfully this place exists. I will be back!

Love the free beer and pool here. Really friendly local bar where the bartenders are really nice and the owners are there all the time making it a fun spot.

Nice little place, I really like it. My only complaint, is that there really isn't a marked place to order a drink if you're not sitting at the bar. But I really enjoyed myself besides that.

Let me start by saying I was in the wrong but the way I was treated was very unprofessional and the management should be embarrassed of the way their staff handled the situation. Last Saturday 7/3 a few friends and I decided to go out for drinks to celebrate my birthday. We live right behind the monkey bar and usually have a great time there. We had been drinking at our house before going out and I still had a beer in my hand when I walked in the bar. I made a mistake but instead of asking me to throw the can away I was yelled at by the bartenders to get out. I couldn't really make out what they were saying because all three of them were yelling at the same time so I threw my beer away and asked for a Coors. One of the bartenders came over red faced and angry yelled "get out, we are not going to serve you" while my girlfriend and her friends frantically tried to get their stuff together, i.e. Put money back in their purses. One of the patrons of the bar got off his chair and got in my face and told me to get the fuck out of here. The bartenders didn't even do anything to stop the hostile patron but encouraged it! As we were leaving one of the bartenders said I had to leave but my girlfriend and her friends could stay. We used to visit the monkey bar quite often but last Saturday will be our last time walking through those doors. I hope the management reads this and trains their staff on how to handle these types of situations.

The owners/bar tenders are awesome and super fun/friendly. Nice dive with beer pong, darts and a patio..what else do you need?!

This spot is funky and awesome. I say this mainly because I'm obsessed with ping pong and they have a great table which is free to use (unlike the stupid punch bowl). Good vibes and although they don't have a kitchen they do have a ton of menus for places that deliver there. Stop by and get a bear and a shot!

Monkey Bar is my favorite local bar in the Santa Fe arts district. Very welcoming environment, dog friendly, with strong drinks and a popcorn machine. If you want a delicious drink order the house special 'The King Kong' , wow I would recommend stopping by for a drink on the back patio and play pool, darts, ping pong or giant jenga. The monkey bar is amazing! You can bring your well behaved dogs, the pours are generous, and they make their own pickle vodka, YUM! They've got beer pong, darts, and a phenomenal (spacious) back patio. Plus even more games like pool, ping pong, giant jenga, with free popcorn. Come on, need I say more?!

This is a SUPER overdue review! (Sorry Javi!) My husband and I got married in April of last year in an art gallery on Santa Fe. We had scoped the area out looking for an after-party place and came across here. From the minute the staff heard we were getting married and thinking about bringing the rest of the party there, they were so upbeat, warm and happy. Javi had emailed me to let me know he'd be happy to get a bunch of pizzas ordered, balloons, whatever we needed. When we arrived at around 11 the night of our wedding- Javi met us at the door with drinks and congratulations. The staff was celebrating right alongside us! We and our guests (I think about 40 people came with) had a BLAST playing the games, hanging out outside etc. Thank you SO MUCH for all your hospitality that night! Everyone loved ending the evening at your bar!

Brett was our bartender tonight and was AMAZING. Took care of us all night and was so sweet. We will be coming back for him. Thanks for the hospitality.

Love this place! It was the owners birthday the same day we went there to celebrate my friends and they were so nice inviting us to celebrate with them and sharing their food with our crew. Bartenders also very nice. Mario kart is a ++++!! The outside space is great too! Def coming back here!

Love this spot! It's a cool bar with lots of games. I refuse to go spend my money there when Nacho is working, the dude acts like he hates the world. It's my go to bar except when Nacho is working.
