From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. The service throughout the visit was cold, distant, and largely unavailable. Rather than feeling like valued guests, we felt as though we were an inconvenience. Staff appeared disengaged and uninterested, offering little acknowledgement or interaction beyond the absolute minimum.
After placing our order, we were essentially left to our own devices. There was no check-in from staff, no reassurance about timings, and no visible attentiveness to the dining room. After waiting around 30 minutes, we eventually had to flag someone down ourselves just to ask how long our food would be. This is something that should never fall on the customer to chase, particularly when a restaurant isn’t busy enough to justify such a delay.
What made the experience even more frustrating was the pricing. The dishes are priced at a level that suggests a higher standard of hospitality and attention to detail, yet the service delivered fell far below that expectation. When you’re paying those kinds of prices, you expect professionalism, attentiveness, and at the very least a sense that the staff care about your experience.
Instead, the entire visit felt lacklustre and poorly managed. The service lacked warmth, urgency, and basic customer care. Dining out should feel enjoyable and relaxing, but this experience was quite the opposite.
Overall, it was a horrible experience that left us feeling ignored and undervalued as customers. With the level of service we received, it’s difficult to justify the prices being charged. Sadly, it’s not somewhere we would consider returning to, and I would struggle to recommend it to others.
