La Luna

We had dinner here and it was excellent. All the food was good, but the La Luna Lasagna was phenomenal - the first time I see brisket used in a lasagna and it really works! The portions were generous and the prices were good. They also don't add an automatic service charge like some other places which is great to see, so left a tip to reflect it. I would strongly recommend eating here if you're looking to have dinner in Kendal.

Went for a birthday meal Nice atmosphere. The building is beautiful. Staff were very friendly and helpful with the menu. I didn’t know what some of the things on there were and they helped decode it lol. They were also helpful in bringing the kids food out first. Unfortunately they forgot the adults order and we had a super long wait. The food was quite tasty. Not sure it quite lived upto the price but overall we had a nice evening.

Food was exceptional, the best Italian I have ever had, the brisket lasagna is so good! Very well priced with the 2/3 course deal especially and the starters were so nice the brushetta was really fresh and the meat balls full of flavours. Service was very good too with a glass of prosecco on the house for our special celebration! We will definitely be back when over this way!

I came here for my birthday last week and had the most wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend the ravioli, it was gorgeous, one of the best I’ve ever had. The service was perfect from start to finish. Staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring, and went the extra mile for my birthday! To top it off, I accidentally left something behind, and the staff went out of their way to make sure I got it back, even though they didn’t have to. That kind of kindness and attention really makes a difference. Highly recommend this place! Can’t wait to come back next time I'm in Kendal!

I hate to leave a negative review and always try to find the good in every experience but I have to be honest and say that our experience with La Luna was very disappointing. We arrived at 8pm on a seemingly quiet Monday and were eventually shown to a table. After perusing the menu we had settled on our choosen dishes and were eagerly awaiting our food. We were pretty much ignored for half an hour, after which we decided to vote with our feet and try somewhere else. It's a real shame that we didn't get to judge them on the quality of the food, however the service was really lacking and as part of the overall experience, this is the first impression you get of a restaurant, which fell way short of our expectations.

When you see so many five star reviews, it makes you wonder if a place can truly be so good. La Luna is just that. We arrived towards the end of the night with our 3 year old and 8 month old to grab some food after a long day of travelling. Portions are truly large, a child’s portion could fill an adult. The La Luna lasagna was the greatest lasagna I’ve ever eaten. Topping it off, Justina was fantastic, she made us feel so welcome. We’ll definitely be returning.

Why go to Italy? Best pasta dish I ever had. Unbelievable! Lovely service and great advice from the waitress. I'm coming back again to work through the menu 😋😋👌

This is the second time we come here and it’s another round of amazing food and great service. The ambience is also lovely. Great vegetarian options too. We had the burrata salad, the bruschetta, and the penne with tomato sauce and chili oil. Highly recommend!
