Thé Moon Tea House - Downtown

Pictured above is the Moon Mountain Oolong ($5.99) with Honey Pearls (99¢) and the Flame Cloud ($6.99) with Brown Sugar Pearls (99¢). Both were very good. Mine was Taiwanese mountain oolong tea base with soy extract creamer. My brother’s was Okinawa Brown Sugar with fresh milk topped with house special cloud foam. Easily the best bubble tea we’ve had ever. Unique flavours and high quality ingredients!

I came here a few days ago and it was a girl working. She had lots of tattoos, I ordered the strawberry cloud and asked for no cream and sub for pearls and she said it’ll still be an extra charge so I said that’s fine. There was 3 of us and we actually came here a few days ago and got served by a male barista. He was amazing and made our drinks so well that’s why we came back. This lady made my smoothie so bad that it tasted like water… and both of my friends drinks lacked flavour, one tasted like sour water and my other friends tasted like straight up green tea. My friend asked if she could put a little bit of syrup or sugar in my drink because it didn’t taste like strawberry. When she told her that she said “what…” and she replied with “if u want more sugar than I’ll make to remake the whole drink..” so my friend said yes that’s what I want please. When I received my new drink it tasted like she dumped the whole container of syrup in my drink. I was about to throw away the old drink and when I turned around she came marching up to me and said “I’m going to take the old drink from you because you can’t have it” honestly I don’t know if she was in a bad mood that night but she kind of ruined my experience there. I’ve been to the moon tea house only twice and my second experience made me not want to go back again. She didn’t smile and definitely was not friendly, she had a lot of attitude.

I’ve been coming to The Moon regularly and usually have a great experience, but my recent visit was very disappointing. We were treated quite poorly by one of the staff members (a girl with red hair and tattoos). Our drinks were made incorrectly and were very watery. When I politely asked for the Blush Cloud to be remade, she responded rudely and overcompensated by adding an excessive amount of syrup, making the drink far too sweet to enjoy. She also came over and abruptly took the previous drink from our table in a way that felt unnecessarily aggressive and uncomfortable. This was a really unpleasant experience, especially considering how much I’ve enjoyed this place in the past. I hope management can look into this, as better customer service and consistency in drink quality would make a big difference.

We stopped by Thé Moon Tea House in Chestermere (while it was still open) and really enjoyed it. The space is super cute and aesthetically pleasing, perfect for a chill milk tea break. The drinks were solid and tasty, nothing mind-blowing but definitely satisfying. A great little spot if you’re craving bubble tea!

I was craving bubble tea and found this place nearby where I was staying at. I got their oolong milk tea with light ice and half sweet ($7.33) after the worker said it's stronger than their kungfu milk tea. They were sold out of their brown sugar pearls at 7pm on a Friday already, so I got their honey moon pearls instead. I really did not like my drink in all honesty, it tasted super milky and diluted. The oolong tea was barely present like almost as if they didn't steep it long enough to extract its flavour. The honey pearls were very bland too, I was expecting it to have some sweetness at least but you don't get any of that. Perhaps I ordered the wrong drink at this store but I left feeling very disappointed given the price I paid for it. I would just avoid their milk tea options in general if this is their "strongest" option.

Came here for their matcha drink and it was pretty good. We got the Double Matcha, the ice and sweetness level was fixed. There is small amount of seating available inside. Paid parking right in front of store.

Really delicious bubble tea the flame cloud was very tasty. Place was very clean, service was great thank you to Ethan for making so many drinks really quickly, would highly recommend!

I come to visit here once a year. Thé Moon Tea House in downtown Calgary offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere with a Christmas theme, perfect for bubble tea lovers. The staff are friendly and the cafe has discounted drink promotions on weekdays.

The best place to get taro in Calgary their taro cloud is one of the best I've ever tried. And honestly the best place that isn't too sweet and has the best creations. One of the favorites is the grape mojito it's so light so refreshing and has the perfect light hint of green tea flavour with real smashed grapes and mint. This would taste really good with alcohol same with the pink drink that's just how good these drinks are. Most boba shops either have super fragrant floral teas or strong and bitter or too light where it just taste like cereal milk but not the moon. For coffee lovers my favourite coffee is their flame cloud latte. Better than my Starbucks go to drink. You have to make sure you stir it and mix up the brown sugar though. Personally I love asking for extra cloud foam. It's also a nice little spot for your friends to hang out since they have seating up to 20 here. You can tell this place is very clean I saw how they are constantly storing away syrups by sealing it off from fruit flies near the end of the day

The seasonal soybean mochi milk tea is the BEST I HAVE EVER HAD. SOOO delicious, creamy, nutty. It tastes like Korean multigrain milk but with milk tea instead. And the mochi is OMG it's like mochi paste instead of traditional mochi balls and it is so so good, adds a nice gooey texture to the drink. The shop is also really cute with an easy menu and large mirrors, and the workers were so nice!

Average boba but the place was pretty and picturesque. Ok customer service considering u just order. Plenty of seats inside to hang out. Ordered the Golden Moon at 50% and it tasted watered-down. I usually order my drinks at that sweetness level so get regular sweetness if you like it sweeter!

Such a cute spot! Tried this placed based on a colleague's recommendation! He did not lie! We were not disappointed. I ordered the flame cloud which is the brown sugar Okinawa boba drink, but ordered it with Oat milk! Omg! It was perfect! So creamy and not overly sweet! I did not adjust the sugar level. The BF ordered the Mylk Tea Latte with Earl Gray tea! He liked it a lot. Said it tasted really good! The brown sugar boba were tiny and soft! Definitely recommend this place when in Calgary!

Cool vibe inside, superb customer service and fantastic bubble tea with a different flair.

Sunday, August 13, 2023 before closing, the service was horrible. It was difficult to communicate with the male cashier. It was obvious that he did not care about the business he was supposed to be taking care of. We just walked out after being unable to communicate with this fool.

I'm not a big bubble tea fan to be honest. Went to The Moon Teahouse because the have soo many different options. I opted for The Moon Lucky - which is just a basic British black tea - and added on coconut jell per recommendation for some added sweetness. It is really good!! I will be back to try another flavor some time. Also have to say - the ambience / decor on the inside of the teahouse was pretty cool.

Tried this place last weekend when I was in Calgary. At first I was very excited because this place was very pretty inside. The inside is very Instagram worthy and has a modern clean aesthetic. For the drinks, I tried the Flame Cloud at 50% sugar and Taro Taro Cloud at 50% sugar. The Flame Cloud (their brown sugar bubble tea) was wayyy too sweet. It literally tasted like milk with lots of brown sugar. I was shocked at how sweet it was when I asked for 50%. When I ordered the drink, the lady told me they don't really have a 50% option but will put less brown sugar. It was not an enjoyable drink and unfortunately I had to throw it out after drinking a quarter of it. The taro taro cloud was more enjoyable. It had a chewy mochi texture since it comes with pudding, taro and yam mochi. The taro flavour was strong which is quite nice. It is a slush though, so if you enjoy a more liquid taro drink then this is not for you.

I like big boba and I cannot lie. Unfortunately, they appear to only have tiny boba, which makes me feel like I'm eating spider eggs, so this place is not for me. However, if you don't mind that, they have pretty interesting seasonal flavors and the decor is cute.

This is my favorite bubble tea in Calgary. When I left Toronto I was on a quest to find the best bubble tea in the city. I have been to Moon a few times and have yet to be disappointed. My favorite is their Taro. I have also had their strawberry slush several times and they do use real strawberries (not concentrated). I really like their homemade boba. So good and creamy. They also have milktea ice cream as well which is quite good. Moon does have a limited menu compare to other bubble tea cafes but that's a good thing. That means everything in their menu is good! The only downside is there is no free parking. It's only street parking located by the Stampede grounds.

Gorgeous building, good service and great drinks!

Was super excited to try this bubble tea shop as I've seen so many great reviews and pictures on Instagram. Ordered The Moon Kungfu and it was completely bland, even though I got 100% sugar.

So glad I decided to stop in at Thé Moon Tea House. The staff was friendly and I was impressed by their menu (everything looks delicious and they have alternative milk options available!). They have a good amount of seating options if you're looking to sit in somewhere beautiful and enjoy your tea. I would definitely recommend checking them out if you're looking for a new go-to bubble tea place.

Drinks are typically delicious when the have all the ingredients which is almost never. But the service is sub par at best and today the woman who i believe is the owner was so rude. Hard to spend $ here when it's served with a side of your lucky to be here attitude. Won't be back

Had The Moon Kungfu which is the black green milk tea with pearls. Not as robust as other teas. Strong floral, fruity notes in both tea and tapioca.

Used to love it here . Definitely won't be back !! The service was horrible, the lady that helped me was so incredibly rude. I'd hate to come as a new customer and have questions and be unsure , you'd just be rushed and stared at like your stupid for not knowing what you'd like . Not to mention they are always out of main ingredients for there most popular drinks. Which I do understand can happen ... but when it's consistently sold out, you'd think they would prepare better.

They have the best tasting taro slush I've tasted to date! Very addictive with pudding/ moon balls at the bottom and cheesy cream at the top. Yummy! I don't typically order taro, mostly refreshing fruit teas or milky tea but this one is so delicious!
