23 Best Hotels in Dublin, Ireland | Condé Nast Traveler

"Being almost on top of the River Liffey, with Temple Bar just over the Millennium Bridge, puts you in a prime spot for exploring both the north and south sides of Dublin. As part of Hilton’s Curio Collection, the property combines the reliable service you’d expect from the parent brand with a strong local flavor and a quirkier design sensibility. While the rooms can feel a touch corporate, they remain well-appointed and welcoming, and the shared spaces are where the personality really comes through, with a literature and poetry theme evident in a feature wall of framed poems, a modernist mural incorporating lines by local poet Stephen James Smith, and even elevator interiors printed with lyrics from Dublin bands. The Morrison Grill is a standout in-house dining option and home to one of Ireland’s first Josper Grills, a charcoal grill–oven hybrid that reaches 932°F, while a serviceable gym and the lack of a spa subtly nudge you to get out and enjoy the city rather than linger over wellness frills." - Ciara McQuillan, Matt Charlton

Good: The staff is great. The check-in desk were able to check me in early (which was great after a overnight flight) and the breakfast staff had my order memorized by day 2 or 3. Service at the restaurant could have been a bit more attentive, but that's open to the public so I get it. The rooms are CLEAN. I'm pretty OCD about a clean room, and I was very happy to see how clean the room was. During my entire stay, there was only one spot that I could critic could have been cleaner (literally just a small spot by the shower door). The closest was well equipped. Basically all hotels have an iron, but the iron in the room was basically new, there was a robe, slippers, and even an umbrella (which is a nice touch in Ireland lol). Con: This is specific to Diamond members, but the main reason I am loyal to Hilton is because of the benefits of Diamond status and I was very disappointed with what Diamond got me at the Morrison. Not that I was expecting a suite, but all Diamond really got me was a higher floor, but the view out of the window was of a alley or something. Contrast to my stay at another Hilton, they greeted me with a drink of choice and a fresh cookie, plus I got 2 daily drink vouchers to the bar, and a upgrade to the best view they had (not a suite, but a view of the local Castle). In hindsight, I should have just stayed at a cheaper hotel vs hoping I actually get something out of my status. So if you're a diamond member don't expect significant benefit from the Morrison.

We recently stayed at the Morrison from December 5th to December 8th. We have stayed here multiple times and have always had exceptional experiences that exceeded our expectations. This stay was truly exceptional as well.|What makes our stays memorable is the Excellent Customer Service provided by all of the hotel staff especially Mia, Shashil, Marianna, Ricky, and Rory General Manager. They all went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect, and it was…|Rooms as always were beautiful, clean, modern, and very quiet. Breakfast and Dinner at the hotel were fabulous as always. |Highly recommend the Old Fashioned Cocktails at the bar made by Mia, definitely the best in Dublin!|Can’t wait to return to the Morrison. Highly recommend this hotel to all. You won’t be disappointed!!

Loved our stay at this hotel! Room was stunning! Staff are very friendly. Bed is big and comfy! I thought the little chocolate truffles were a cute addition. It’s in a great location so easy to walk around the city!

First family visit to Dublin.|We arrived in the middle of a storm so didn’t venture from the hotel on the Friday night, having dinner in the Morrison Grill. |We were seated next to a birthday party so it was pretty noisy, however the food and service were very good. |There were a couple of issues with our room (a junior suite) on the first night and I raised these with Ricardo at reception in the morning. He could not have been more helpful, proactive and responsive in resolving them quickly and very much to our satisfaction. |(This customer focused approach by Ricardo and others significantly contributed to ensuring that we continued to have a very good stay.)|Some observations;|Our stay was over a rugby international weekend so was quite pricey and I am sure better rates could be secured at quieter times. |Recommend a river view for a nicer outlook, if that’s important. |(We noted the extra glazing in our room to ensure no noise and it worked very well.) |Do take the hotels breakfast, it is excellent! |The hotel is lovely, very well located for all of the main attractions, with friendly staff and good facilities. |If we were to visit again, the Morrison Dublin would absolutely be our hotel of choice!

I had a wonderful stay! The hotel staff very welcoming and happy to help with any sightseeing info, directions, etc., etc. The location was close walking distance to shopping, temple bar, restaurants etc. I stayed in the King Deluxe room which was very clean, comfortable and modern. The morning breakfast was quite tasty & convenient. On the last night, I ate at the Morrison Grill. After a long day trip to the Moher , when arriving back to the hotel in the evening; I was extremely tired and hungry and the front host,Saheel was so|kind to let me order quickly and promptly had my delicious dinner ready. My steak was cooked perfectly- very tender and flavorful. Overall a perfect stay!! Thank you!!

This hotel was fantastic! The staff were so accommodating. I couldn’t believe how much they went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. The only thing I will say is that the room, in my opinion, was very warm. Other than that the location is great, the bar was nice and the staff was excellent. I would recommend this hotel!

The Morrison is a fabulous hotel. This was the final hotel we stayed at (of 10) on our trip. Easily top 3. First, there is a designated place out front to leave your car as you check in and unload your luggage. Then the car park (additional but discounted cost) is a single block up the road, very convenient for a downtown hotel. The front desk staff were very polite and welcoming. We were upgraded for a small (but absolutely worth it) fee to a spacious suite. The view was obstructed by scaffolding as they are in the process of expanding the hotel but it didn't bother us as we were not in the room during the day much. Beds were comfortable, the AC was nice, and the bathroom/shower was great. My one gripe - the TVs only had basic cable. No streaming or casting capabilities (shocking for a 5-star hotel). Location is perfect. So walkable to many downtown attractions, bars, restaurants, etc. Breakfast was very good, staff were hustling and very attentive. Hotel overall is very modern and chic while still being super cozy. We really enjoyed our stay here and would absolutely return.

Great stay, staff attentive and friendly. Very spacious and comfortable room, nicely appointed, and some personal touches like a handwritten welcome letter from the hotel manager were appreciated. Fantastic shower! Good central location to the Temple Bar area if you are going for tourism, but tucked away on a quieter street. The rest of Dublin is easily accessible walking or via public transport. Will definitely be back. (Photos pictured are of the King Guest Room).
