Not sure this is a 5 star, but more of a 4 star boutique hotel. Upon entrance, the front staff recommended I go to check on my table at the restaurant now, before even checking in, due to they "close early". This was even though I had already booked a table for later that evening and just wanted to get to my room to freshen up after a long bus ride from Galway. Our "upgraded" room was at the other end of the hotel, in a newly constructed area. Upon entry, the room was very spacious, but also very warm. The window was left open, but due to the room being partially underground, I had to stand on the ledge to close it. It was so high, there was no way to look out, although there was nothing to look at. The first night I was awaken to a dripping sound, to find the bathroom ceiling was leaking condensation all over the floor. I placed towels on the floor and the staff were quick to send someone over to repair, which appeared to be an AC issue in the ceiling. Once all was in order, the rest of our stay was nice. The breakfasts were high-end, and the staff upon our leave were very friendly and accomodating. The location is ideal.
