"Located a few blocks from Courthouse Square and Whiskey Row in downtown Prescott, about 100 miles north of Phoenix, the Motor Lodge is ideal for a retro road trip. The 13-room lodge began life around 1910 as summer cabins. After a century of serving as all manner of accommodation, it was purchased in 2008 by Joe Livingston and Brian Spear, who set out to prove it had at least one more life as a modern boutique hotel, complete with comfy beds, tastefully eclectic decor, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi. One of the few hints that this is no longer an old-fashioned motor court is the bright yellow exterior doors and other splashes of color that suggest a more modern era. Still, there are throwbacks—some delightful (the room porches which are close enough together, and few enough in number, that chats with people who might otherwise remain strangers seem the neighborly thing to do) and some not so much (the tiny bathrooms in most of the rooms that would have passed without comment in earlier decades). Mostly, though, the two hosts seem to be striving for, and achieving, a hospitality that often becomes a guest’s strongest memory."

Google
This place exceeded our expectations. This rooms were quaint and the bed was super comfy. Love the patio vibes. Short walk to downtown puts you in the heart of whiskey row without having to worry about parking. 10/10 recommend this place.

Really enjoyed this retro motel. Everything was perfect and room was clean. We had the king room and it was spacious with details that reflected the efforts to decorate it retro. Seeing the glass door knobs took me back to the house I grew up in. Really loved the electric fireplace in the room and the one on the patio outside of our room. Not having a parking place in front of our room was disapointing but not a big deal. Suspect we will be back.

We’ve stayed here 6 times. It’s the cutest place. Beds are comfortable . Depending on which room you pick, the bathrooms are super small. This place is close to downtown and up the hill from Lazy G’s. Edison’s is nice. Drip coffee could be stronger. Has nice selection of light breakfast options and niche alcohol. You won’t regret it.

We love The Motor Lodge! We stay here often and always enjoy our stay. The staff is accommodating and friendly. The rooms are clean and very sweet. Depending if we bring our toddler or if it’s just a parent’s getaway there are a variety of rooms to choose from. ||Thank you!

Google
This is our second stay here in the last 4 months. It is a very fun place to stay with an engaging staff who make sure everything is just as you like. Last time we stayed in 9 which was a great room and feel the same about 4 where we stayed this time because it seemed a bit roomier, though probably not. Only negative is small shower but that is why it it a motor lodge. Easy walk to town. Highly recommend.

Was a perfect place to stay on Memorial Day weekend. Walking distance to downtown. The rooms were very clean and each had its own charm. Loved the outside patios and being able to park in front of room. Will definitely stay here again! The staff was very accommodating too.

I hate to spoil the secret… this place is so great!!!! We already booked another stay. First time in Prescott and we loved everything . The Motor Lodge feels like a modern funky stay on Rt. 66 ~ Chill vibes, great beds, perfect location. We genuinely loved the Motor Lodge!

Google
Love this lodge! Super cute and very close to downtown. We arranged for the staff to have a cake & flowers in our room to surprise our nieces for the last day of our spring break road trip with them and it was perfect!! When we arrived the flowers were in a vase with the cake and serving utensils set up on the table. The girls were so surprised and it really made our last night a perfect one. Thanks so much!

Yelp
The Motor Lodge is such a fun and unique lodging experience! We love visiting Motor Courts and The Motor Lodge has a fun eclectic style and unbeatable location to historic downtown Prescott. Staying at this motor court felt like a step back in time with modern amenities. The highlights were the decor, perfectly comfortable Tuft & Needle Mattresses, Kitchen with Refrigerator, cute front porch areas off the room, as well as a TV with lots of channels & Roku for streaming. The cons of The Motor Lodge were the fact that pets aren't allowed, noise of the traffic (though expected because it's a motor lodge), and the shower which was a tight space even for an average sized person paired with a strange shower head that made showering difficult. Additionally, the fireplace wasn't working during our stay, we let their team know and they blamed it on it being old and didn't offer any compensation or fix until it was too late which was a bit of a bummer. Overall, worth visiting but at the price point it is a bit high for the experience we had!

Yelp
We love staying in this funky, vintage motor lodge. The rooms are clean, spacious and well appointed. Each room has a unique decor and floor plan. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Dallas was very helpful during our stay. Our favorite part of our stay is sitting on our room's patio and enjoying the scenery and beautiful weather.

Yelp
Fun, eclectic , clean , quiet and comfortable. Extremely close to downtown Prescott, The staff are friendly and knowledgeable . Some of the rooms have parking garages. . There are bicycles for your use. Each room has its own unique porch with motel bouncer chairs.. no smoking allowed in the rooms. But allowed on the porches . This place is fun and campy..

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay, we added the romance package which included everything pictured on the tray and two bath robes to lounge in. The staff was so friendly. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
You know the rare times you wish there was a six-star option? Yeah, well this is one of those times! The Motor Lodge was such an awesome place to stay, and I wish we had more than one night in town. This place was renovated sometime in the last ten years or so and made into a hip, unique, funky boutique motel. Total retro vibes and very well-kept. We arrived mid-afternoon and popped into the check-in area. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. You could tell how much they enjoyed working for this motel and chatting with all of the travelers passing through. We were offered a beer/wine for our arrival and given a personal tour of the rooms, as well as the common areas outside that include bonfire pits to enjoy. Among the five of us, we had three units booked. Not to brag or anything, but I think my husband and I definitely got the coolest one (#06)! Pictures don't even go it justice. They're all totally individual and distinctive in their own way. It was a classic room with a California king size bed (SO comfortable), fireplace, and wonderfully updated bathroom area. There's also a designated parking spot for each unit and a nice little front porch. Highly recommend this place to everyone passing through Prescott! You'll no doubt have an enjoyable stay, and will leave with a bag of homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Yelp
A true gem! Service was what you would expect in a small town like Prescott. Kind, prompt and the lost art of just being super friendly. The room itself is truly amazing. Don't let the "vintage" feel fool you, the rooms are meticulously clean and perfectly stated. Even my 9 year old loves this place even though he had no idea what the contraption on the table was. Rotary phone! That made for a fun discussion that left him co fused and me feeling old but oddly satisfied of my youth. I'll definitely be staying here again!

Yelp
I would go back. I only wish they had told me beforehand that my room would not be in the motor court, but outside on the street. It's the only room there that's apart from everything else. This room also has no parking-I had to leave my car on the street in front of the convenience store with its foot traffic walking past my car all night. My room had both blackout blinds and blackout curtains on the window for privacy, but it did make the room very dark. What they describe as a private patio has zero privacy, being on the street with the foot traffic only a few feet away. My patio's view of the convenience store, convenience store customers, big trash dumpster and one recent convenience store customer behind the big trash dumpster enjoying his beverage of choice from a brown paper bag---was less than relaxing, and not what I was expecting from the description on their website. And yet the staff are nice, the room design is charming, and it's only a 10 minute walk to downtown. I just suggest you call directly to book a room that's inside the motor court.

Yelp
The lodge is super cute, very well kept, clean and with great smell (big plus for me). It's pretty smart the way they built it, each unit by itself, separating from next unit so we don't hear our neighbor, besides we have our own large patio in front and our own parking spot on one side of our unit with 2 bicycles for us to use with no extra charge. Very clever setting. Welcome us with many choices of either wine, beer, soft drink and goodbye with a bag of chocolate chips cookies. Walking distance to Main Street and Whiskey Row for restaurants and 3 minutes drive to supermarket so it's super convenient. King size bed, unfortunately it was soft and we like and used to the firm mattress so it took us one night to get use to. We love this place so much so we didn't want to take a point from the rating. Another plus point is the good size state of the art fridge for our drinks Highly recommend to everyone who likes to stay in a place with nice, fun and positive characteristic

Yelp
I love this hotel! Everyone is so nice and helpful. I was able to stay here for nearly a month during a family move and it was a treat! Along with the cool decor in each room and the little carports to keep the snow and ice off, there were gas fireplaces in every room. Fridges, big modern tvs, and a nice adult beverage in the evening whenever I asked. I will definitely stay there again!

Yelp
REALLY enjoyed my stay! The customer service was phenomenal! I received an email at confirmation of booking that they were looking forward to seeing me. The day of, I received a voice mail stating that my room was ready if I wanted to check in early. Upon arrival the lady at check in was very personable. She provided a complimentary glass of wine and walked the drinks up to our room and showed us around the room. Upon check out, there were some complementary cookies. The ROOM: The room was in SUPER good shape and VERY clean. It even smelled clean. The furniture and accessories were well places and totally retro that fit with the theme of the whole place. The bed was comfy and soft. The bathroom was small but functional and VERY clean. There was a nice patio and clean/comfy chairs to sit in. We sat outside late into the evening. It was great! There is some road noise sitting outside but you can't hear anything inside the rooms. It is very quiet. The whole court was quiet even though all rooms appeared to be occupied. Will definitely be back. The only drawback is that it is a pretty far walk to Whiskey Row (if you are out for the nightlife).

Yelp
I didn't get to stay here because my flight was canceled but the people were so friendly and helpful I wanted to mention that because it's so unusual today. I called less than 24 hours before I was supposed to check in. I thought I was booking directly but had inadvertently booked with a 3rd party. They worked it out to cover me and I was happy they were able to book the much coveted room for the weekend. My parents owned a small motel and I remember the struggle.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
This place does it right, way above the norm. It brings the idea of customer service back, in a Laid-back, friendly way. I received a phone call from the motel saying my room was available early for check-in. they do this with everybody. Then, complementary beverages were provided, including beer and wine. I absolutely loved dealing with Melissa, an exceptional front desk clerk and immediately felt like I was in a happy, vacation mode. She led me to my room and showed me how to operate the fireplace, etc. Upon request, I was provided with a stairless, easy on the old bones room. When I asked later for a microwave, she provided a retro microwave that fit right into the inside decor. The decor is fabulous, inside and out. This is an old style motor court, thank heavens, where you park right in front of your room and I found it to be very quiet. Super comfortable bed and pillows, including a body pillow. Most rooms had their own driveway, adjacent to their room. On check out, Melissa handed me a bag of chocolate chip cookies recently baked in their oven. I told her I had a really nice stay and she credited it to Mark the manager. When it's good at the top, it's good all the way through.

Yelp
Terrific place in a great location in Prescott. About a 1/2 mile from downtown and definitely walkable if that's your thing. This place is 5* for a reason. Owners and front desk person are great, not sure what those negative reviews are about. I guess there's always gonna be haters wherever you go. The lady who checked us in also called us around 2:00 the day of our arrival to let us know our room was ready. We didn't arrive until after 4:00 but she gave us 3 free drinks and even walked us to our room to show us around - a great personal touch. Tip: take advantage of the bikes they have on-hand to ride downtown or any place close by. They even had a tandem bike!

Yelp
This hotel is super cute. 1st when you check in they give you a drink. When we arrived it was dark and there were a bunch of outdoor fire pits going. Our room was plenty big. Bed was super comfy. Loved all the decor. Close to courthouse & downtown area. They have bikes to use. Planning on going back in the spring/summer.

Yelp
Great little place to stay. A step back into the 1960-70. Lazyg is a great brewery and restaurant across the street. Just 15 minutes walk to downtown. Yes I will stay there again if in Prescott.

Yelp
Very cute and comfortable place. Great for a quick visit to Prescott to explore the little center or hike in the forest. Loved that the staff left two cold beers ready in the fridge when arriving . It was refreshing after a 7 hour drive. Easy communication and hospitable. Thanks for those yummy chocolate chip cookies ! We will return.

Yelp
By far, the coolest overnight accommodations I have every come across. This little motel is going to be my go to when I come to Prescott! I travel to the area twice a year for work, and I can't believe I didn't stumble across this place sooner. First things first - the price is right. I paid a room rate under $100 for the night that I stayed there. The rooms are like little cozy cottages. Each one had a little deck with chairs/umbrellas outside. Of course my visit was in December and the weather was quite chilly, but I imagine that's quite nice when the weather is warmer. Each room is uniquely decorated in a retro cool sort of way. Mine had all blues and teals throughout. It sounds weird to say, but it was like walking into my Great Aunt's cozy, retro cape cod after it was injected with a little more cool. I LOVED the in room fire place. It made the room nice and toasty, and it was nice to curl up in bed with a fire going. Bonus - there was a cold Stella waiting in the fridge for me, and we received warm cookies on checkout. What a gem! I can't wait to stay again!

Yelp
We absolutely loved staying here! Super clean, unique place right near downtown. Mark and all the staff were extremely nice and helpful and even gave us yummy treats when we arrived and left. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Motor Lodge! Thank you for such a great experience in Prescott!

Yelp
LOVED this place! Truly unique retro-70's cabana-with-a-carport old-school-in-all-the-right-ways motel with great throwback decor! My room featured an actual "Honeymoon Suite" King bed from a Sean Connery-Bond era Las Vegas hotel. Great blend of retro decor with modern amenities (Wi-Fi, wine/drink glass-door dial-a-temp mini-fridge, faux fireplace, etc.). So fun! Coming back! Out-of-hyphens!

Yelp
Awesome motel with a motif. Owners are very friendly and greet you with a beer. The individual cabins are quaint and decorated with retro touches. Across the street from a brewery and within walking distance of the courthouse square.

Yelp
This will easily be my wife and I's go to hotel whenever we come to Prescott. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. They called us hours before our arrival time let us know we could check in early if we desired as our room was already ready. When we arrived we were greeted with and ice cold beer for me and a glass of wine for my wife. Each room had a dedicated parking spot in front of it (or even a dedicated car port) which is nice. The room itself was cozy and very charming. Little nick knacks were all over the room to give it some personality. The bed was very comfortable and had a wonderful down blanket (it got quite chilly. We like to keep the room cold and curl up under a blanket). Please note, the bathroom (at least in room 2) is ttiinnyy. Standing sideways, my shoulders touched both walls and my wife did have trouble shaving in the shower. But, this is a minor complaint to us as everything else was perfect. The times we spoke to the staff, they were super friendly and had awesome recommendations for things to do locally. The best part, when checking out we were wished safe travels and given a small bag of cookies for the road. This place makes you feel right at home and like family. I can't wait to come back! thanks

Yelp
The perfect place to stay for your Prescott Arizona getaway! What can I say that hasn't been said before? Well here are the things I loved in list form... 1. Adult welcome beverages (the best kind of beverages). 2. Adorable, cozy & comfortable rooms (King Size bed and warm gas fireplace). Yes, the bathroom was small, but this is a vintage motel, and at least the bathroom sink was not in the room (I'm looking at you Hassayampa Inn). 3. Our room came with covered parking, which was nice because it snowed on our last night (no scraping ice or clearing snow off the windows). 4. Short walk downhill to historic Whiskey Row (less than 5.00 back in an Uber). 5. Great staff, with lots of tips about things to do in Prescott. 6. Warm baked cookies upon checkout. Needless to say, we will be back (when it's warmer, so we can enjoy the awesome patio outside the room).

Yelp
Very cute place with an authentic historic charm. Roos are decorated with period furnishings and really take you back in time. Nice outdoor patios with seating and a single car garage for nearly every room. Cari(sp?), the manager, was very accommodating and friendly. Oh, did I mention free beer at check in???

Stacy F.

Yelp
Best choice ever for a unique stay in Prescott. Do yourself a favor and book at The Motor Lodge for a comfortable stay that is NOT AT ALL cookie cutter like other places in the area. Will most certainly return! From the moment I spoke with Austin about an early check in that we didn't even need to the gratis glass of wine, warm 'hit the road' cookies and convenient location they could not have been nicer and more professional. Support independent businesses like this to make the world a more interesting place!

Yelp
Would not stay here again. Our stay was pretty nice but had a incident I did not like how they handled it. I accidentally left my small portable speaker there I paid $300 for. They said they would hold onto it for me until my brother in law who occasionally works in Prescott would pick it up. We live 2.5 hours away so it's not like I can swing by to pick it up. I gave them a date I thought my brother In law was supposed to work up there. Not to my knowledge his schedule changed and did not make the trip. Someone from the moterlodge then texted me and called my wife. They said if I did not make arrangements by 5pm that day they would dispose of my $300 speaker!! I'm still confused how this is so inconvenient for them as it's very small 3"x8". Could easily be put in a drawer. So I asked them if they could mail it to me which they agreed. Just received with my bill for $20 plus shipping charges. This is just not how I would ever treat someone and this "customer service" is a joke. Will be staying somewhere else our next time to Prescott.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful stay at The Motor Lodge!! Every room was unique, the decor and setting was spot on. This was our first visit and we can't wait to go back! Thank you Kathy and Mark! Can't wait to come back!!

Yelp
I tell you what, usually when headed to Prescott for the Rodeo events, I stay at some chain hotel/motel with the guaranteed and accepted amenities I desire. This time though, I took a chance on The Motor Lodge and WOW this place delivered and then some. About two hours before check in, we get a call telling us the room is ready, so we step up the travel and head to town. When we arrive at the motel, we're greeted by Trio, the three legged welcome dog. Within 4 minutes, we have beers in our hand and are getting a tour of the facility. We were taken to our room (06) which was really killer. Wood floors, bedroom set from the old Stardust Hotel in Vegas, and a great view of the sunset. We settled in on the porch and enjoyed the view and great weather. Oh-and covered parking for all the rooms. I was more than able to back my Ram truck in the garage area. They even have bikes for rent on the property! We grabbed a tandem and rolled into the plaza and hung out downtown. Later in the evening, we went to the rodeo, and when we came back it was quite late, and the motor lodge was dark for the night. We sat on the porch again and enjoyed the ambient lighting of the complex and how peaceful it was. We slept with the window open, on a very comfortable mattress, and had a nice hot shower in the morning. The next morning, we needed to get moving to the next event, so we packed up and headed out. We were greeted as we returned the keys with some fresh cookies and a sticker for the ol' Coleman cooler. Bar none, this will be our go-to in Prescott. It is a beautiful facility, and we are so grateful to the Motor Lodge for such a great stay.

Yelp
The Motor Lodge is the CUTEST little retro hotel. The owners were superrr nice and accommodating, they even offered a complimentary beverage of choice upon arrival. The rooms are clean and the patios are the best part. I loved my stay here and will definitely stay again. :-)

Alecia S.

Yelp
We had the best time staying at this motor lodge. The staff was excellent and they gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne for our anniversary upon check in. The rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable. The rooms are eclectic and provide everything you need. The best in my opinion are the decor, location and the other travellers we met during our stay. The outside patios provide for a great conversation and meeting place. Would highly recommend if you like boutique style hotels. Try out the brewery at the end of the block!

Yelp
We loved staying here. The rooms were excellent. We felt so welcomed and there were little touches everywhere that you could tell the owners and staff had really thought through to make it an enjoyable and comfortable experience. We will be staying again and recommending to friends! Support local!

Yelp
My husband and I stayed Sat in room #1. It was probably the coolest hotel I've ever stayed in... I've wanted to stay here for many years but its always booked on our times... The care and love in this place is obvious! Its cozy and you feel at home. The retro vibe is amazing... The room is cleaner than some of the 5 star hotels I've stayed during my travels... We will be back and I will tell everyone about this amazing Gem!!!!

Yelp
We have stayed here several times in the past it is our favorite place to stay in Prescott Arizona it is a quaint nice quiet place with great charm and me and my wife really love to escape here...

Yelp
Great anniversary trip! Such a cute room and great location; you can walk right to breakfast or dinner. Since it was our anniversary they gave us a bottle of champagne at check in. We stayed in the King and Queen room, number 6. It was tasteful and fun. Towels were super fluffy and although we didn't have soap or shampoo and conditioner the first night (minor oversight!) we were given beers as an apology, always welcome! Enjoy!

Yelp
I wish this was my home! This was the second time I stayed at The Motor Lodge while attending colloquium at Prescott College. The owners and staff are amazingly friendly while respecting your privacy. Upon arrival I was warmly greeted and offered a beverage. My room was stunning, filled with beautiful vintage delights. While the bathroom is small, the large and comfortable king size bed felt luxurious in front of the toasty faux fire. Each night I returned to my room I was welcomed by an additional vintage outdoor fireplace. Every detail at The Motor Lodge is put together with intention and style. The walk to the center of town is a mere 3 blocks, or borrow one of The Motor Lodge's bicycles (they even have a tandem). One of the best discoveries I made was the amazing family run Mexican restaurant across the street. The food is delicious and affordable. I ordered the lunch special to-go and sat outside my room on the little patio. A large group came in one evening and one of the wonderful staff built them a fire outdoors on the patio. Needless to say, this wonderful gem is unlike any other lodging experience in the area. After my 6-night stay I was given a little paper bag filled with homemade chocolate chip cookies. Does it get any better?

Yelp
During my most recent stay at The Motor Lodge; I was thrilled to rediscover the nostalgic charm, hospitality/friendly service & comfort were all still being provided to their guests. Thank you, for providing such a great cozy low key retreat.

Yelp
The Motor Lodge was a fantastic place for a little getaway. From the complimentary drink upon check in, to the personalized list of food/drink recommendations, it just kept getting better & better. My room was fabulous & I was able to park in the carport next to my room. The room was very clean & the vintage touches were amazing. The location was great, too, as I was able to walk to the city center where many bars & restaurants were located. Of note, many establishments in town were closed on Monday & Tuesday, so I wasn't always able to get takeout as planned. My fault planning a Sun-Tues getaway without much research! Due to Covid restrictions, they weren't doing daily room refreshing, which was appreciated since I only stayed two nights. The owners were available every day, though, if there were any needs that arose. I enjoyed the patio outside my room every night. I almost didn't want to leave. My lovely stay ended with complimentary homemade chocolate chip cookies! I will definitely be planning another stay here in the future!

Yelp
This place was the perfect weekend escape! The sweet guys that run this place were a wealth of friendly & informative information. All the rooms are unique and full of stories. Somehow these guys have managed to harness their eye for design, their excellent customer service and turn The Motor Lodge into an Arizona Gem! The gas fire in the bedroom burned all night, and kept us warm and cozy. In the morning we had our choice of publications to enjoy on our wood deck patio with a cup of hot coffee. We didn't want to leave! When it came time for checking out, one of the proprietors was ready with a bag of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies for our trip back to Phoenix. A really brilliant touch! He then gave us a tour of another room, and explained the history of some of the more stand-out pieces in the room. Book in advance, and enjoy! It's walking distance to Whiskey Row and all kinds of fooderies. Also, If ya enjoy 2nd hand shops and antique stores, you'll be in heaven!

Yelp
I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. I seriously just fell deeply in LOVE with the Motor Lodge. The place is adorable, modern, comfortable and fun; there are not enough adjectives to describe this wonderful little motel. The owner greeted us warmly with beer or wine (I already love him). The price was reasonable and the room gorgeous. There are so many fascinating design details in our room that I keep discovering new ones to obsess over. There is a lovely porch that we used to enjoy the stunning sunset and then walked into town to check out whiskey row. We will absolutely be back!!!!

Yelp
My husband and I recently had a lovely one night stay in room #5 (wish we could of stayed longer). Everything about this little jem was perfect! Looking forward to our next roadtrip to Prescott. This Motor Lodge is really special and now on our list of favorite places to stay!!Thank you for the wine at check in and cookies at check out... Very nice touch.

Yelp
Amazing little spot, came to Prescott for a romantic getaway and the motor lodge was prefect. The room was clean and had lots of character, we are definitely going to stay here every time we come to Prescott

Yelp
Hours before we arrived we received a call to confirm our arrival. What a great personal touch. Since we were arriving after hours they left the door open to our room, with 2 cold beers in the fridge (WOW). We loved everything about this place, from the quaint decorations to the carport to park our vehicle in (it was snowing when we arrived). THEY GO ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE YOUR STAY COMFORTABLE. Will be coming back again in the future. Thanks Jeff & Tracy

Yelp
This quaint motor inn has seen a lot since it was first built around 1910, but it is in it's heyday in the 21st century!! Lovingly brought back to life, these former summer cabins are now a unique botique motel. Each room has it's own special decor - no cookie cutter rooms here - with little individual touches. And, when you check in, you'll get some background on your room's decor. Ours was decorated with furniture that graced one of the bridal suites at the Las Vegas Stardust Hotel in the '60s-70s. The room was not large (they do have larger rooms), but perfect for our short stay, and the design make such good use of the space. The furnishings may have been vintage, but the shower and bathroom sink were very sleek and modern. Very comfy bed, full size coffee pot - no little one-cuppers here, thank you very much. Very clean room and exterior well maintained. Plus, it's close to historic Prescott. Each room comes with a nice outside patio (remember, these used to be summer cabins and people actually talked to their neighbors in those days!) plus a carport so even your vehicle is taken care of! To top it off, upon check in were we offered a complimentary beverage (including the adult kind) and when we left, we got a treat for the road - fresh chocolate chip cookies! All of the staff were so friendly and kind, and interested in their guests. We've been wanting to stay here for while & so thrilled it worked out this time. We will definitely return!

Yelp
I am enamored by this quant little lodge. The rooms are good size and the amenities are outstanding. Full kitchen, A/C, big screen TV, plus more. I can go on and on about the lodge but the best thing is the staff. Carrie met us in the office, offered a cocktail or water then checked us in. After that, she proceeded to accompany us to the room. She pointed everything out in the room. Very customer accomplished. The best part is that anytime she sees the wife or me, she will sincerely ask us if we need anything. Love the place and will be back!

Yelp
This place is amazing! It's got the perfect mid-century feel of a lovingly-cared-for relative's home. But it has an updated non-stuffy vibe. The rooms are chock-full of treasures, but are immaculate and tidy. The hosts are kind and knowledgeable. There are even bikes (regular or tandem!) available for easy use, cornhole game and more. It's an easy walk to courthouse square and check out the great antique shop on the way. I will never stay anywhere else in Prescott again!

Yelp
I'm the kind of person who obsessively researches everything, particularly hotels, before I try them out. After reading the reviews here on yelp (and everywhere else online), I'm so pleased to report the The Motor Lodge is the one of the most amazingly charming places I've ever stayed. My husband, daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights while visiting my dad and brother who live nearby. We live in Los Angeles and made the 6 hour drive and we were beyond thrilled to arrive at this sweet hotel. The owners, Brian and Joe, are beyond welcoming and sweet. Bonus #1: They gave us a cold beer upon our arrival which was so nice after a long drive. Bonus #2: They also have an adorable dog named Trio who greets you when you arrive. Joe walked us to our room (#1) and we loved it right away. The attention to detail is great-there's no cheesy hotel decor here-all the furniture and art is so cool. The room was so CLEAN, too. There's Coffee, tea and a fridge in the rooms too. There is also the friendliest cat named Toonces who hangs around the hotel. (We're huge animal lovers in my family and it was so nice having a sweet kitty and doggy to pet while we were here.) Basically, I can't say enough great things about this place. My family and I loved it and really didn't want to leave. I can't wait to return to Prescott again and again and stay in all the rooms here. If you're wondering if you should stay here when you get to Prescott, just do it! I promise you won't be disappointed. Thank you for a lovely hotel experience, Brian and Joe (and Trio and Toonces)!! : )

Yelp
The Motor Lodge is run and operated by some very nice and welcoming people. Check in was simple and easy and we were provided with some beer and wine to commemorate the occasion, I suppose. The hostess stayed to help us get acquainted with our room and to answer any questions we had. She also provided recommendations for dinner and drinks. We settled on a surprisingly good place called Bill's Grill, which is only a few blocks down the road. They make some of the best burgers I have ever had. I have absolutely no complains about the Motor Lodge. The bed was large and comfortable, the temperature of the room was easy to adjust, and the shower was more than adequate. The prices are reasonable and upon check out you are given fresh-baked cookies for your trip home. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Do they need more validation? ABSOLUTELY!! This is the GREATEST little gem of a retro hotel I've ever stayed at! Drop "retro" and it is all still true. Great rooms, and the most excellent service - hosts Brian and Joe have something extremely special here. You cannot beat the ambiance. I'd like to live in a neighborhood JUST like this. Seriously! We felt right at home! It was easy to see the rest of the neighbors, I mean guests, felt it too. Everyone there was social and happy... We were greeted at check in with a complimentary beverage. Each day/night, a special treat (fruit, brownies, etc.) delivered to the porch. Cookies at check out. Who does this? The Motor Lodge!! I'm almost hesitant to post this because I worry the secret will get out and we won't be able to stay there when we want...so, sssshhhh!
