This is THE bar or pub. Good selection of beers. Brilliant atmosphere. The service was impersonal and the food was less memorable. However, if all one need is to quench one's thirst with friends or family, you have come to the right place. Shame it is only open for five hours, from 5:00PM to 10:00PM. Drink fast.

Google
Delicious bar meals and a great selection of beers. The cozy and relaxed atmosphere makes it a perfect spot to unwind after a day in Yosemite. Highly recommend stopping by for a casual yet satisfying experience!

It takes dedication

Google
The food is horrible. The only good thing i can say about this place is the atmosphere because of the big fireplace. The service was good. Everyone's smiling, happy, and dancing it makes you happy

Thomas Wyatt

Google
Service was fine, the drinks were not good at all. They serve food, which looked okay, but did not order. The entrance and seating is accessible. Restrooms are nearby. At least 2 televisions were showing sporting events and news, imagine if you wanted to see a game this would be a good place to do so. Unlikely to return, service was fine, but the price paid for really bad drinks will keep me from returning.

Google
This casual dining spot in Yosemite is a great place to relax and unwind after a long day of hiking. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, with friendly service and a large fire pit in the center of the restaurant and bar that adds a cozy touch. I ordered the nachos with chili, which reminded me of classic ballpark-style nachos—simple, satisfying, and exactly what I was in the mood for. While the food isn't fancy, it hits the mark for solid bar fare. Overall, it’s a comfortable and enjoyable place to grab a bite and recharge. I should also mention that there is an amazing view of the mountains with floor to ceiling windows

Google
Good alcohol selection with nice cocktails. The whole bar is pretty cozy with a really cool fireplace in the middle. If you ever get the chance come during New Year’s! They have a fun celebration.

Google
We had a good night hanging out at the bar, both bartenders are very nice, especially the younger one, very attentive to the customers and good at entertaining everyone at the bar. Our food was delicious and was a good meal after hiking around. The bartenders are creative with their drinks and make their own recipes. Bottoms up!

Google
The ambience was nice and the staff were friendly, but we were disappointed with the food. Our hamburger buns were warm, but the kids’ burger buns were cold—not just room temperature, but actually cold.

Praveen S.

Yelp
Informal setting with friendly service. Limited choice. Ambience is great! The huge fireplace in the middle is not only a decorative piece, but fully functional fireplace. The logs they use are equally huge. Food is surprisingly good and not expensive at all!

Yelp
Located at the Yosemite Valley Lodge, Mountain Room Lounge is one of 3 on-site eating establishments. The lounge offers a full bar, and food, in a resort lounge style experience with music and a central fire pit. It's a nice place for adults to sit down but without the more expensive experience of the main Mountain Room. Another big advantage is the lounge usually offers seating and a place to sit when Base Camp Eatery gets predictably overrun. The food costs maybe 20% more than base camp on some items, soup seems the same, but they are presented better here. The chicken sandwich is much better here than at base camp with real flavor, sauce, and more adult preparation.

Yelp
My cousin and I had dinner at the Mountain Room Lounge on Saturday night. Originally, we had been planning to eat here, and then also get pizza at Curry Village. But, between waiting for the shuttle, waiting to be seated, waiting to order, waiting for our check... after being here for over an hour, we decided to just go back to our camp site. So, like I said, the wait time was long. It seemed like they were very severely understaffed. There seemed to basically be one cocktail waitress serving the whole entire huge dining room by herself on a very busy Saturday night. As a highly experienced server, I would expect at least two other servers to work a room this busy with me. I can't believe they had her doing it all alone. We ordered the nachos with chicken and guacamole added. The nachos were bomb. We were both surprised at how great they were. Most of our culinary experiences in Yosemite have not been ideal. The queso sauce on the nachos was delicious. It tasted homemade. The guacamole was basically just mashed avocado, but it complemented everything else perfectly. The salsa seemed like it was probably made in house. We both loved the barbecue sauce on the chicken. I just wished there was a little more chicken, but it was great. After our food was served to us, we weren't spoken to or checked on again for a good thirty to forty five minutes. There was a line of people at the door waiting for a table, and we wanted to pay and give ours up, but weren't able to, due to understaffing. Our server was good, but no one would be able to provide great service to that entire huge lounge while it's packed without help. Overall, the prices were high and the wait was severe, but the food was good.

Shannon W.

Yelp
We ordered a halibut that was extremely dry and had no flavor. The rice was crusted and microwave multiple times. Parts of the rice were inedible as it was extremely crunchy. The French onion soup was OK, it was nice to have something hot and piping after a long day of hiking. The service was attentive and friendly. The ambience was very nice. The lodge itself had a beautiful view, beautiful interior, and floor to ceiling windows. Unfortunately, the food was near inedible. If not for being one of the only food options in Yosemite Valley, would not go back again.

Lyn V.

Yelp
It's a good spot to get drinks and service was prompt and excellent for a seat yourself establishment but the food was not it here. I mean what did I expect being in the middle of a mountain valley? We were the first ones in after opening and were pretty hungry as we skipped breakfast this particular day so we ate the food. The menu was short so not many choices. The brisket we got was oily and the smoked chicken thigh was dry. The corn bread basically turned into dust as it was cold and dry. Thought it would've been fresh and warm but it was cold and super dry! Must have been yesterday's batch. I did enjoy my sour pear margarita. It wasn't strong, alcohol seemed light. It's a good margarita and it's so pretty!

susie K.

Yelp
Dining options are limited in the park and this is a ok choice - - especially if you are staying at Yosemite Valley Lodge. Not the hugest menu and prices are high for what you are getting. Just make sure you don't wait until you are super hungry before heading over. They are way understaffed and it can be hard to find a table and even harder to get served. But once you do get their attention, the service is super friendly and helpful.

Linda B.

Yelp
If you are early for your dinner date at the Mountain Dining Room, the Lounge is the perfect place to settle down for a refreshing drink and wait. No one tries to scurry you away. Of course, i's a perfect place to settle down for any reason! The room is beautifully appointed and all the seating is comfortable and accommodating. We especially like the cushioned chairs around the "fireplace" which was filled with potted plants when we were there. Parking is available in the huge parking lot that surrounds the lodge. The free shuttle also drops you there. The drinks are fine and the beer is cold!

Bruce O.

Yelp
The Mountain Room Lounge, Yosemite Lodge, Yosemite National Park, CA, January 1, 2024. We somehow got 4 cushioned-chairs in front of the circular fireplace at about 5 pm on New Years Day. Score!! The lounge is a great place to hang out while you enjoy a beverage or meal, and you can enjoy your favorite indoor game, socialize with friends, or enjoy a sports event on one of several big screen TVs around the room. Cool pictures and rock climbing gear adorn the walls and the circular fireplace in the middle of it all keeps the place warm and provides a great visual. In addition to many tables, they have a long bar with friendly and talented bar tenders. The waiters and waitresses we had were always on top of things and checked in with us pretty regularly. We actually came in numerous times during our 6 day stay in the Valley, mainly for drinks while we either played cards, watched football, or just socialized. They serve wine, beer, distilled sprites, and non-alcoholic drinks. We did order one plate of nachos that was good, and all the drinks were great. Menu items include appetizers, salads, barbecued meats, and desserts in the $10-$25 range. My only complaint is I wish they would open sooner on weekdays. 5 pm is too late to open.

Sabrina C.

Yelp
Party of 6 by the fire pit was wonderful. Darren the bartender/server took very good care of us for 2 hours. We was attentive even when they got busy with only 2 other servers with him. All our our cocktails were really good and all of our food was as well.

Jonathan A.

Yelp
Stopped in to warm up and get a snack after a busy morning of hiking in the snow. Staff was friendly and we were quickly taken care of by the waiter.we got the nacho appetizer. It was quite good. The chips were crunchy and the smoked Gouda cheese sauce was amazing! Highly recommend stopping here if you're in Yosemite.

Anqi H.

Yelp
We came here for a snack after a long hike. This place has a very chilled, cabin vibe. I loved the fire place in the center of the room, and it's just so cozy. The nachos were pretty good. Tea came in this pretty cup. Service was great. Prices were also very reasonable. It's a great hangout spot especially in the winter.

Robert O.

Yelp
Service was excellent, the Rosemary Bourbon Sour was excellent (so good I had three of them) . Food was good too, of the pub variety, which works well here. Ambience was just okay, we were content to have found a place in Yosemite Village that had interesting cocktails. Previous reviews mentioned the circular fire pit, unfortunately that is currently where a bunch of fake ficus trees live, which is a shame. A fire pit would have given a much needed bump to the ambience, especially at night since there is literally no lighting in this place aside from over the tables along the side walls. The people at the tables by the fireplace are sitting in pretty much complete darkness. Candles on the tables at least, would have helped too in that regard, but perhaps there is an open-flame rule in place or something, hence the focus trees in the fireplace....

Kiera L.

Yelp
Great place to grab a drink, appetizer and/or dessert by the fire during the winter months! Nice and cozy! On a crowded evening, it might take a while to be served, so don't expect quick service or for your food to arrive quickly, but if it's not too crowded, the customer service is great.

Debbie P.

Yelp
We stayed at the lodge for 4 days and this was definitely a good place to grab a bite to eat a drink and relax . Callin "I may have chipped his name on and Deron always greeted us and gave great recommendations. In those 4 days we had nachos Soup shrimp cocktail The meat trio Bread pudding chili to name a few and my husband got the blood orange beer each time haha . Cali squeeze. The meat trio or duo are great to share . The soup was another of our favorites. They had a nice fire going on cooler days and made you feel welcome.

Chloe B.

Yelp
Need a place for a cocktail, stop on in. The fire is roaring, tvs are going, and staff is super welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed my adult beverages with the vibes. The menu for food is super extensive. I saw most people going to the base camp eatery and coming back. After 10pm, minors are not allowed. Definitely recommend.

Che A.

Yelp
This is the closest restaurant where we are staying so Inwould say the location is very convenient. Not as formal as the ahwahnee but I liked it better that way. The place is nice and so were the servers. The steak was cooked to my liking, added a side of chimichurri this one I didn't like. It was too sour. Their pork chops is a must order my friend it was juicy we also tried the trout which is also good. I'd recommend this place.

Kelli M.

Yelp
We had an excellent experience at Yosemite's Valley Lodge Lounge. There was a roaring fire and we snuggled right up next to it. HANNAH WAS AN EXCELLENT SERVER!! Seriously, she had great suggestions, very accommodating, lots of personal service. She recommended the Amber ale which was amazing and she recommended the chocolate martini which my husband and I drank three of - splitting them. We brought our chess set and had a relaxing evening by the fire with great drinks. It was Hannah that really made a nice experience into a fabulous one. Not at all what I expected from a tourist based hotel lounge. I highly recommend you spend a cold evening there!

Christie A.

Yelp
Another 3.5, rounded up to a 4 - - the very friendly staff pretty much carries the rating. Ambiance is of course great - warm and cozy. Personally, it actually got a little too cozy/stifling for me when it was packed to the max and the wood smoke smell became overpowering to me; I had to go outside to cool down in the crisp, fresh air while we waited for our food. But I know I'm probably more sensitive than most, and others in my party would have loved to hang out by the fire. We came here twice - first evening was really crowded; fortunately, we were planning on taking the food back to our room anyway. A table opened up and the server offered for us to sit while we waited, but we didn't want to take up a table when we were just ordering out and it was nabbed shortly after... well, we ended up waiting 45 minutes for our food...! And as other reviews mentioned, for some reason, all of our food was nearly cold, lukewarm at best. Portions seemed meh too; the proteins seemed to be especially skimpy. Due to the lack of other options (we decided not to make reservations at The Moutain Room Restaurant and wanted something more substantial than the Base Camp Eatery offerings), we gave the MR Lounge another go. The second time, it was a complete 180 from the day prior! We did go a little earlier as we anticipated another long wait, and there were plenty of tables and even fireside seating open. Most customers were playing games, sipping drinks. We had planned ahead for a long wait for our food again, but it was ready in less than 10 minutes! AND, the food was hot, even after we hoofed it back to our room. Portions were also better. So baffling! The "regular" menu is pretty limited (even the server who took our order the first night admitted it), and it was unexpectedly even smaller the second night since they had a special New Year's Eve menu. However, the special New Years Camp 4 Nachos with carne asada were great. Larger portion than the brisket nachos the night before (even the meat); two of us couldn't even finish them in one sitting. From the yelp reviews and photos, it seems the menu changes, but we found the pdf menu on the website was current (except the dessert might have changed). They were out of the bbq jackfruit, but we tried the chicken, brisket, nachos, and chili. Nothing too memorable; the chili was decent and did in fact have a mild mole-like taste (or maybe it was psychological knowing there was a "hint of chocolate" in it)! The cornbread was the biggest disappointment - we love cornbread, and it was quite dry and tasteless. I hate wasting food, but even I was close to passing on it. Ended up taking it home to heat and try with butter and honey, which didn't even help much. We did appreciate that some dietary guidelines (gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options) were indicated on the menu. All around, a great, cozy spot, especially during the holidays. If it's crowded, just be prepared for a long wait (even for carry out) and mildly warm food... and who knows, you may be surprised and experience the complete opposite like we did! The one consistent aspect both nights was the pleasant, friendly, and patient service. Every single person we interacted with was great (first to see/greet us, those that tend to customers, deliver food, etc.). We were checked on and offered water multiple times during our wait. 5 stars for the staff!

Max C.

Yelp
Very nice restaurant, we tried lamp and trout, surprise delicious. Waiter is nice as well. We had A great time there.

Michele O.

Yelp
Stopped in on New Years Day around 6 pm. We were lucky to find an empty table, but no servers to be found. We ordered our drinks from the bar. Didn't see a food menu, although we saw people carrying in to-go boxes (maybe from the Base Camp Eatery food court). 4-star rating is simply because they had a nice fire going, the drink pours were generous, and where else are you going to go? Not many options in Yosemite, so you go with the flow and are grateful that you are in one of the most beautiful places on the planet. (Even if it's pouring rain and there is a flood watch.)

Kevin R.

Yelp
Terrible, cold, expensive nachos were only outdone by the horrible service. Don't waste your time.

DistasteForMediocreChefs _.

Yelp
Beautiful view and a gorgeous fireplace. Good options for bar food that ranges from typical bar food to healthy vegetarian and vegan. Last time, they had freshly prepared housemade coconut-white bean-spinach soup that was delicious. Very fresh house salad and perfect seasoning. Limites, but good wine and beer selection.

Chicago G.

Yelp
Casual spot to hang and have a bite. We appreciated the gluten free options (marked in the menu) as both my kiddos have celiac. Not a ton of options, but ok. The chili hit the spot on a cold day after lots of hiking.

Lolo ..

Yelp
The Mountain Lounge in Yosemite Valley offers a classic bar experience in one of the most breathtaking settings on Earth, Yosemite Valley. Nestled in the heart of Yosemite, the lounge serves strong drinks that hit the spot after a day of adventure. My margarita was tasty and strong. My husband loved his Pecan Brown Ale. The food is typical bar fare; we enjoyed the nachos, which were satisfying but nothing extraordinary. The real draw, though, is the atmosphere--sipping a drink while surrounded by the natural beauty of Yosemite Valley makes it a special stop. Perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring nature.

Rohan B.

Yelp
Nice lounge in Yosemite Valley Lodge to chill and have drinks. Seating is first come first served, order and pick up at the bar and a nice big fire place in the center. They also have few board games you can borrow to chill.

Mike B.

Yelp
Did not think I would be giving 5 Stars to a lounge at a National Park lodge, but it was a good place to go at the end of the days activities. Beer selection was good, mixed drinks were good (like the Margarita with a topper of Grand Marnier). Food was typical bar fair. The kitchen was actually the Base Camp resturant kitchen with a slightly different menu than was there. BUT for Sunday night, we went in for Football and they even let bring a selection from the base camp eatery in addition to what we ordered there. Glad this place was there and OPEN!!!

Tracey S.

Yelp
Today, I came here to dinner and drinks. I had a cheeseburger and fries. The food was pretty good and reasonable. I didn't have to wait too long. I had a Glacier Martini which was not too sweet but was on point. This is a great place to eat if you are visiting Yosemite National Park.

L U.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised by quite a good meal at pretty reasonable prices given being in Yosemite. Pulled pork sandwich was tasty and substantial. Salad was simple but abundant, with very fresh greens & tomatoes. Filled a very large plate, and plenty to share between two of us. Warm atmosphere, pleasant friendly staff. A little loud for my taste, but not unusual for a bar. After two very disappointing meals on preceding nights at other places near by (Mountain Room, and Base Camp Eatery), this was a welcome contrast.

Leonel G.

Yelp
This is the true hidden gem of Yosemite Valley. A restaurant that has a great atmosphere showing what it's like to find warmth from the cold outdoors. The giant fireplace is a great place to eat as it'll warm you up and keep you and your loved ones close together. The staff brought out food quicker than any other restaurant in Yosemite and had a friendly attitude. I hope these pictures do it justice

Amy S.

Yelp
This is a favorite place of ours to eat while visiting. The menu has many options, great steaks, fish and vegetarian. The French Onion Soup is delicious to start. The crème brûlée is perfect. Maribelle was so helpful. The scenery is beautiful here too. Highly recommend

Christina J.

Yelp
This place is great Fantastic lounge in the middle of the park Right next to a good spot: mountain room restaurant.

Shana R.

Yelp
Nice to be able to have a drink at night in the middle of the park. The lounge is small but obsessing COVID restrictions well. Only a couple of tables and well spaced. The mediocre rating comes from two things. Food is from Base Camp Eatery and was not great. While the prices are reasonable, I was hoping for something more restaurant like. Additionally, was hoping for some warm atmosphere with the fire pit in the middle of the room. Was excited since we found a table right next to it. Wood was out and ready to be lit but they never started the fire. Not sure if they were too busy, but was really disappointed we didn't get a fire.

Tammie G.

Yelp
This is stop 7 on the Yosemite shuttle and worth getting off. There is a store (reasonably priced) lots of Souvenirs and snacks. It was a cold rainy day so we stopped in the lounge for a warm snack and drink. We got the nachos a and added the pulled pork. The cheese sauce was thin however had a great taste and there was lots of meat on them as well. I had coffee and it was good and hubs had a draft and he said it was good as well. This stop also has another restaurant and a Starbucks..

Steppa S.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in Yosemite. With these beautiful views of Yosemite Falls, expect to pay a premium. The servers have been here for decades, so while not the fastest they sure are personable. The kitchen does a great job too with all the steaks are all from local farms.

Amie A.

Yelp
Was lucky enough to pop in here on the first night of their reopening. The service was great! They started their "grab and go" foods as well as a pizza menu. I will say, I don't think they regularly did pizza previously so it was definitely just meh. But after hiking all day, any carb will do.

Jody R.

Yelp
Too crowded, not enough staff, long time to order, food was cold. On the positive side our waiter was very friendly

Eric R.

Yelp
The Mountain Room Lounge, also known as the Yosemite Valley Lodge Bar, is a cozy, rustic bar, located at the Yosemite Valley Lodge, that includes a full-service bar, many beers on tap, and a limited menu of "bar food." The lounge is centered around a large Swedish fireplace, which provides lots of warmth on chilly days and nights, with a roaring wood fire. As you enter the lounge two things grab your eye: the large Swedish fireplace, and the full-service bar. The "Please Wait to be Seated" sign asks you to wait to be seated, but I arrived just after the restaurant opened, so I simply sat myself at a high table next to the window. Mountain Room Lounge features floor-to-ceiling windows, which provide an excellent view of beautiful Yosemite Valley. If you don't care to gaze at the amazing scenery, there are television monitors placed around the room, which are tuned to what ever major sports game is being played. The food menu, served at the lounge, is quite compact, but offers many tantalizing choices, for your dining pleasure. I debated between the "Roasted Turkey Sandwich" and the "House-Made Beef Chili," in a bread bowl, but in the end, the turkey won out. From the "Specialty Sandwiches" section of the bar food menu, I ordered the "Roasted Turkey Sandwich" which included a pile of tasty "kettle chips." This fine sandwich, along with the chips, made for an outstanding lunch, albeit a little on the late side. The sandwich includes a generous portion of hand carved turkey breast, placed on top of a fresh, whole wheat, white roll. The sandwich includes smoked Gouda cheese, mixed greens, tomato, red onion along with French onion aioli. Yes, it's a $16.00 dollar sandwich, but you're dining at the Mountain Room Lounge, in Yosemite National Park, so high prices are a way of life. The roll was fresh, and delicious, the sliced turkey was lightly smoked, fresh, and delicious, and the meat portion was large. This sandwich didn't "skimp" on meat, and the meat-to-bun ration was just right. The smoked Gouda cheese was simply amazing, as you could taste the smoky goodness, the cheese not only complimented the sandwich, but probably made the sandwich the delicious creation that it is. I can't say I really tasted the aioli, but the greens were fresh, crisp, and enhanced this delicious sandwich. Thick "kettle chips" seem to be a Yosemite Valley "thing," and the chips were thick, lightly seasoned, and deep fried to a golden brown. The bar doesn't shy away from giving you a large portion of chips, which really acts as a great side to the sandwich. At $16.00, plus sales tax, the "Roasted Turkey Sandwich," along with the "Kettle Chips," isn't cheap, but it is a fair price, considering the quality, the quantity of the meal, and the fact you're dining in Yosemite National Park, which is a long way from the area food distribution center, in Fresno. After a day exploring the wonders of Yosemite Valley, Mountain Room Lounge is a great place to relax, enjoy a light meal, a beer or two, and if the weather is chilly, soak up some ambiance and warmth from the cheery wood fire. Great food, reasonable prices - considering you're in Yosemite National Park - and amazing views of the natural beauty make Mountain Room Lounge a great place to enjoy a beer, and a sandwich... and relax. The ambiance and the beauty of the setting is breathtaking, and rates 5 stars. The rustic dining room, along with the fireplace gets 5 stars as well. My server, Dekarius rated 5 stars, but the gentleman tending bar wasn't particularity friendly, and the cost of the meal was high, yet reasonable, considering the fact you're dining in Yosemite Valley. So I give Mountain Room Lounge a solid 4 stars, and I look forward to a return visit.

S. A.

Yelp
The food is bad, very bad. It comes down the sidewalk from Base Camp. I get it's expensive because of the location but this place doesn't even try. Where you going to go??!

Alex W.

Yelp
I had really great trout and French onion soup here. It was very enjoyable and a neat room. I would go back again for sure. The table they put me at wasn't great though - would prefer a view and be more in the main part of the room next time.

Kelly B.

Yelp
Had sandwich and salad, good but not great. Pretty good craft beer selection. No complaints.

Louis T.

Yelp
Had a chip on my shoulder because pizza deck had line all around the side , but I remember seeing that they had pizza here , we we came back this way walked in and did not have pizza lol I was all salty like wtf pizza deck the only place that has pizza In Yosemite now lol took over the pizza game lol but anyway ways we got the turkey sandwiches and Shrimp cocktail and two sodas , she went to the back pulled it out hella fast in these plastic containers and I was talking shit to my dad like wtf they could just act like they made it put it on plate bla bla bla I was going in till I took a bite of the sandwich and it was bomb I mean I added mayonnaise and mustard but it was all so yummy and the shrimp cocktail was hella bomb super fresh and for once the sodas was not flat lol idk wtf was going on all week but I was getting flat sodas everywhere I was going lol super under estimated this place I will be back next time for drinks with fam and friends when I come back. Employees are very friendly and helpful. lol I ain't got no pics cuz I killed my food so fast lol but take my word for it's 5/5 all day hella yumz

Lee B.

Yelp
This bar does the trick in Yosemite Valley, especially if you are visiting in winter. Its spacious -- probably has close to 20 tables with chairs -- and has a long bar. Its great for groups, and even has a few TVs if you need to get a sports fix. I love the huge wood-burning fireplace as it heats up the room in winter and provides a nice ambiance. The full bar makes an interesting selection of cocktails and serves a variety of beers on tap and in bottles. There's even wine by the bottle or glass and a small selection of pub grub. The only downside is that I don't know if they have any outdoor seating in summer. They might, but if that's a must you, call ahead to be sure.

Leslie M.

Yelp
We love this bar. The service is friendly and everyone is smiling. Drinks are amazing. Our favorite is the Peppermint Patty. It's dessert in a glass. Also had the Moscow Mule. It was served in a glass, no copper cup. That was disappointing. The menu for food is limited. Had the chili. It's a staple and good. I would not up order the bread bowl just get it in a bowl.

Beth G.

Yelp
We had a very special night out with a friend. This is fine dining, but less expensive than the Ahwahnee. A beautiful view of Yosemite falls. Friends had steak and were very happy. Wine list was excellent. Service excellent.

Sara M.

Yelp
Maybe not the place to roll into after your all-day hike while you're still in your hiking clothes... but I did so anyway. Most people dining there looked to be either staying in a lodge or visiting on a day trip. We got seated almost immediately after checking in, but it was obvious that there were tons of reservations for the evening. Thankfully getting there at 6 PM helped us squeeze in before the dinner reservations, otherwise I think we could have been waiting quite some time. I would recommend making reservations ahead of time or showing up before 7 PM if you're a walk-in. The place was filled with smoke from the kitchen the whole time when we were there, it was a little unsettling when you first walk in. The food selection was fairly limited, but considering where we were, I was not too disappointed. I ordered the chicken and it was extremely dry. Had to choke it down with water. Considering I was out hiking during the day I didn't mind a whole lot since I was starving. Not sure I will be back... but it was a fun place to check out considering it seems to be one of Yosemite's more upscale restaurant.

Dennis Y.

Yelp
Really nice and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable.

Beth R.

Yelp
We came here nightly for a glass of wine and an appetizer. Service was excellent all times. Good pours on the wine and the house wine was $7 or $8 a glass. The house wine was fine and better than what I might have expected for a bar in Yosemite. Bar menu is limited but has enough choice. We had the nachos one night and they were quite tasty. Take a pass on adding the avocado. We live in San Diego, so perhaps we have high expectations for avocados. The chili was tasty and the house salad had a delicious champagne dressing. Lettuce was fresh. The bavarian pretzel with dips was okay. We came in early spring (March) and it was easy to get a table. Prefer the tables by the firepit. The firepit had some great flames and was constantly loaded with wood by the serving staff. It is a great place to relax after a day of hiking.

Yelp
The atmosphere, yibe, service and drink selection are five star. The food menu was a bit short and my shrimp nachos were not anything to rave about. The ratio of cheese and toppings to chips was way off. I had a ton of chips left over.

Yelp
Located behind Yosemite Lodge at the Falls, this restaurant offers a nice place for a quick bite. My family and I had just finished the Valley Floor Tour and were starving. We packed a few items for lunch but wanted more food so we went here to order a few more items and they seemed cool to allow us to eat our outside food, too. There were a few TVs around the room but it was just airing sports channel. This place is so close to nature that a squirrel actually was running around the place while we were eating. Eventually, a staff member chased the squirrel out, but it's not everyday that you can say that you dined with a squirrel. For a salad, a bowl of chili, and a glass of apple juice, the total came to about $21. Super friendly staff and not that crowded.
