"Formerly called Pachtuv Palace, this beautiful18C residence sits by the river and has a charming baroque style. Most of the spacious, elegant bedrooms are suites with antique furnishings and mosaic-tiled bathrooms; ask for one with a view. Elegant Atelier Kalina serves modern French cuisine." - Tablet Hotels

The best of Prague is right outside the Mozart's door! The location of the hotel could not be any better. The Charles Bridge is literally a 3 minute walk. The famous Astronomical Clock and Old Town Square is only a 10 minute stroll through beautiful narrow stone lined streets. We visited the Prague Castle directly across the bridge and saw the changing of the guard (it happens each hour) which was really cool. The accommodations at The Mozart were perfect in every way and the staff was extremely nice and professional. Our room was directly across the interior courtyard from where Mozart stayed when this was a palace. Be sure to speak with their Head Concierge, Allan, who took quite a lot of time with us suggesting what we should visit and where we should eat. He made dinner reservations for us as well. Allan is the perfect host and made our stay so enjoyable and memorable. Thank you, Allan! If we should ever return to Prague, which may have been our favorite stop of our entire European adventure, we will definitely stay at The Mozart Prague again.

We had a good stay overall, mainly because of the fantastic central location and the excellent staff. Everyone was warm and proactive; when we had an issue with our rooms, they went above and beyond and moved us quickly with zero hassle. Breakfast was another plus tasty and varied, served in a nice and large room. The building itself is beautiful and full of history, including Mozart’s and Casanova’s stays. A few paying parking places are available outside, otherwise the hotel has a valet service for a parking located at ca. 700 metres, so count with a 30 to 40 minute wait before getting your car, depending on traffic. The property could use some updating. In one of the rooms we stayed in, the bathroom windows let in cold air, and some room windows aren’t sound-proofed, so street noise carries. A couple of beds felt very bouncy and too soft for our taste, and some rooms have windows that don’t open, which can feel stuffy. If you are in connecting rooms with other clients, you may hear noise through the doors with the adjacent room. There is not really a proper lobby to sit and relax, and the Wi-Fi in the some rooms was weak. If you value walk-everywhere convenience and genuinely attentive service, this is a solid choice. With some targeted upgrades it could be excellent.

The location is undeniably fantastic and we had a room with a beautiful view of the Danube and the Castle. The room was excellent and our welcome was very good. |However, It was surprising that the local knowledge and keenness to help us of the front desk staff wasn’t better.| On our first morning the staff person forgot to put our egg order in to the kitchen - we waited until they started cleaning up and then left. This happened to 2 other guests as well. |Restaurant menu and wine list were good although comparatively expensive.

The Mozart Prague is a classic hotel in a wonderful location. We stayed there for a week. The staff was excellent: front desk, breakfast staff, room cleaners, and friendly Roman who helps with your bags. The view from our castle-view room #406 of Charles Bridge, the Castle and the river was spectacular. It's a 3-minute walk to the bridge. Just across the road is a stop for the trams, which seniors can ride for free, and which we took everywhere. The Maps app on your phone, when you click on the public transit symbol, tells you which number tram to take and in how many minutes the next tram will arrive. Breakfast was great, both the buffet, and that you can order an omelet or other dishes at no extra charge. We had dinner one night at the hotel restaurant which was very good, as was our waitress Kaia. The modern bathroom had a great walk-in shower and quick, plentiful hot water. King bed was comfortable. One day the elevator did not work for a short time, just when we had to walk upstairs. The hotel sent a bottle of wine to our room, and the elevator was fixed quickly.

We chose this hotel for a four-day trip to Prague to celebrate my birthday, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The property itself is in a historic building, full of character and beautifully decorated details that immediately set the atmosphere. Our room was spacious, bright, and offered a lovely view. Even though it was close to the street, the soundproofing worked perfectly, it was quiet and very comfortable. Every staff member we met was genuinely friendly and helpful. They kindly assisted to arranged a thoughtful birthday surprise, which made our stay feel truly special. Overall, the combination of the hotel’s charm, convenient location, and outstanding service made our time in Prague unforgettable. We would happily stay here again.

Google
Location can’t be beat…centrally located and right next to the tram for easy access to other sites like the castle if you don’t feel like walking. Reception service and breakfast service were excellent and attentive. Cons: The soft furnishings are sorely in need of an update. Carpet and chairs in the dining room were horribly stained and the settee in our room needed a good steam clean. Even the paint needed touch up through out the public areas. Someone definitely needs to take the canopy off the bed and clean it or throw it out and bring the room up to date! The woman in the bar was completely overwhelmed and was trying to make drinks as well as service 6 or more tables. Someone finally showed up to help, but some training is needed to get it right. That said most everyone was understanding and just trying to relax on a rainy evening. . I would recommend seeking massages elsewhere if that is your thing. It felt very mechanical and like everything was rushed…certainly not a spa experience. I don’t think the therapists work for the hotel full time and are brought in as needed. You pay them directly and they want cash if you have it. Final thought; we would consider staying there again for the location, but it would be an absolute “yes” with a little updating.

Google
Positives: Friendly and spotly clean. very spacious and well-decorated room ( we had a suite). The bathroom amenity was good. The fridge has Free Coca-Cola and local beer. Room for improvement - very tiny reception area; no concierge desk/office; no gymnasium; swimming pool. The welcome drink voucher has limited options- only beer, wine, or tea /coffee. but does not include ginger beer.

Google
The absolute highlight was, without a doubt, the room. It was marvelous, exceeding expectations and providing exceptional comfort throughout the entire stay. It's important to mention that, despite the room's excellence, we encountered a few issues during the stay. However, the hotel staff showed a remarkable and proactive effort to resolve and overcome every problem that arose. This dedication to solving the issues and ensuring our satisfaction transformed what could have been a negative experience into a positive one, showcasing the hotel's high level of service and customer care. In short, the combination of spectacular accommodations with service that strives to ensure everything runs smoothly makes The Mozart Prague Hotel an outstanding choice. I recommend staying here, particularly for the quality of the room and the effectiveness of the team in handling unexpected issues.

Yelp
There is a reason I only stay at 5 star group/franchise hotels such as the Four Seasons or Oriental. The reason is that these European grade 5 stars fall short and the amenities, qualities and services are 3 star. The hotel was old and showed its age and lacked the amenities required for a 5 star which my wife defined it having. Step in tub showers, odd room layouts (being old homes) and the beds are 10 years old sitting right in the floor. Don't take the risk and for the money the real 5 stars are worth it especially if you have jet leg. The high light was the best concierge I have seen in a long while.

Yelp
Wonderful location and room. Really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Indulgent. Ornate. Opulent. Exquisite. Yes, all of those words apply. Totally blew us away, especially since we only had reviews to look at for guidance prior to booking. If you're looking for the same, don't hesitate. This is by far the best accommodation you could make in Prague. 3 minutes walk to the Charles bridge, about the same to old town square - the location is unmatched. I've stayed in dozens of hotels throughout Europe and never experienced anything like this. I don't think I've had a hotel like this in the US either. The suite was MASSIVE! 6 Windows, heavy tapestry drapes, huge bathroom, hardwood floors, 4 poster king size bed, upholstered chairs and full couch... I mean this is far bigger than a lot of apartments!! A restored 17th century palace that has every luxury. Mozart loved staying here and they've named a suite after him. Yep, it has a lot of history. The staff was probably the nicest and most helpful of any I've ever encountered. The restaurant was outstanding. The rooms opened up to a spectacular indoor courtyard that was so inviting. The former chapel has been converted to an incredible cigar lounge complete with leather chairs, Cuban cigars and top notch liquor. And it's inexpensive! I totally indulged!! If you're coming to Prague and are looking for a place to stay you can stop right now. This is it. Trust me. If you're headed to another city change your plans and come to Prague. Stay here! You'll thank me.

Yelp
This hotel is a converted castle and brings old world charm alive with all the necessary modern conveniences. My room was on the 4th floor overlooking the courtyard. We visited in October but o imagine sitting on the balcony or downstairs enjoying a cocktail on a summer evening. My room was what I would call a suite. The bed was in one section, there was another small changing area with room for my suitcase. Two large closets lined the wall. Down the hall was a WC and a full tub/sink in a separate bath room. Everything was sparkling clean. The bed with the lovely down comforter was just the right combination of firm and soft. Multiple pillows to choose from. I was thankful the staff was kind enough to leave a power converter for my use as the one I purchased in the states was not fitting in the round fixtures in Europe. The hotel has a morning breakfast area, a bar and an amazing looking restaurant with very reasonable prices. The staff was attentive and friendly. Everyone spoke multiple languages including very good English. Just around the corner was a perfect coffee shop. In fact there was something amazing to look at around every corner. Great location with a view of the Charles Bridge. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Extraordinary hotel that was a former palace. Both Mozart & Casanova stayed here in its former glory days. The location could not be better. Very close to the Charles Bridge and Old Town Square. Walkable to so many great restaurants, shops, pubs and wine bars. Also very close to trams and a Metro station. Our hotel suite was gargantuan compared to a typical European hotel. Four poster bed, sofa, 2 dressers, desk, crystal chandelier, kitchen, 5 huge windows, and enormous bath. There would still have been room on our gorgeous herringbone patterned hardwood floors for several couples to dance! Service here has been outstanding. Literally anything we've needed has been done immediately. Great restaurant onsite, several outdoor courtyards and a cigar bar downstairs that my husband loved! Definitely a 5 Star Hotel all the way!!!

Yelp
The Pachtuv Palace was our last hotel during a 3-week trip through Europe, and it was the perfect ending to our trip (especially over the winter holidays). We got upgraded to a suite, which is pretty amazing: huge living room, separate kitchenette and dining room, large bedroom, a bath and a shower, etc. And it's not a typical boring hotel, but rather has a lot of character (it's from 1628 and they say that Mozart had stayed there) -- so it's perfect for experiencing Prague. The hotel is just a block from the river and Charles Bridge (so right in the middle of everything in Old Town), but it is surprisingly calm and quiet inside the hotel itself. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating and our rooms were always kept impeccably clean.

Yelp
The Suite Hotel Pachtuv Palac is in an old mansion about 100 yards from the foot of the Charles Bridge in Old Town. The location really couldn't have been better. I've heard some people complain about street noise, but we were on the inner courtyard and had no problems at all. The staff was friendly and helpful (almost to the point of obsequiousness). The hotel itself does not look or feel like a traditional hotel. The bottom level is divided into 2 courtyards, with a restaurant in one of them. Our room (#310) was huge and felt like the attic of a large private house, complete with winding staircase and exposed beams (watch your head!). The bathroom was clean and big, although the beam at eye level added an element of danger to my morning shower. The big living room gave us plenty of room to spread out, which was a nice surprise in a city that is known for being a tight fit. We didn't use the kitchenette for anything other than making coffee in the morning, and you really couldn't have if you wanted to. There is a burner or two, but don't expect to be able to make anything more extravagant because of the lack of counter space. I'd recommend this place to anyone going to Prague for the location alone, but the size and staff are icing on the cake.

Yelp
I AM DISGUSTED WITH YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE, YOU OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF FOR STEALING OUR MONEY!!! YOU ARE CORRUPT! My advice: never book with this hotel! I planned a trip and booked with this hotel and had to postpone the trip due to a serious condition with my spouse. I called to cancel every hotel and received a full refund from everyone else with a letter from the physician. When we finally were able to rebook our trip, this hotel gave us NOTHING! We were originally booked to stay in peak summer time and they would not give us a credit for even a Monday & Tuesday in September. There are policies in place, but exceptions are always made. I AM DISGUSTED WITH YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE, YOU OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF FOR STEALING OUR MONEY!!! YOU ARE CORRUPT!

Yelp
I am gonna make bullet points for this hotel. I have never wrote any review for any hotel before but this one is just drive me and my boyfriend crazy that we have to write a review. 1. The front desk was extremely rude. Me and my boyfriend had traveled to many places and stayed in many hotels, this front desk was the worst experience ever. There was a lady who would never smile and would always stare at you. They do not say hi to you, do not smile. They have an attitude. I mean, this is customer service industry - you should learn how to treat your guests like guests not ATMs. 2. The location was really really bad for parking and driving. It was right near the tram lane and it was incredibly difficult to drive out of the hotel because you could get hit by tram any second. Me and my boyfriend got into a accident. 3, The front desk people drove our car for fun. Ok, so my boyfriend rent this nice Mercedes convertible. Every time when we try to take the car out, it takes at least 30 minutes - which was kind of reasonable but kind of not. We understand the traffic was really bad around the hotel, and it takes time to walk to the parking lot. But this one time was extreme - me and my boyfriend called from the room then he took an shower - about 30 minutes, when we came down, the car was not there. They took 40 minutes to take the car out and when we got into the car, there were 2 people on the car (we have never seen this situation before - they need 2 people to drive a car!?) and the gas was used up a lot, also the video was on -- it was obvious they were messing with the car. Some other times when we got on the car we would find the video was on, we are pretty sure those stuffs were having fun instead of being professional. 4.We signed up for a really special suite, but when we got there we ended up staying in another one which looked completely different from the picture. 5.The furniture were old. The room looked not even remotely close to a five star hotel. It does not worth the price at all. 6. Housekeeping lady would knock on the door constantly, or even walk in when we already had the "do not disturb" sign outside of the door which was really annoying. 7. As a five star hotel, it does not even have hair brush and hair conditioner. 8. The air conditioner in our room was broken - yeah you are right, they did not give us the room we asked for, and the air conditioner was broken. Overall, it was a very unpleasant staying. I would recommend anyone to avoid this hotel. With the same amount of money you could have got a way better one in Prague. You do not deserve this.

Yelp
Center location to all the sites in Prague. The staff are helpful, the food is great, and close walking distance to everything to see in Praha!

Yelp
My travel companion and I were supposed to travel to Europe in July and stay at the Pactuv Palace for four nights, arriving on July 27th. However, due to a sudden illness, we had to cancel our trip to Europe altogether. The Pactuv Palace was notified of the cancellation more than a week before our scheduled arrival, which allowed the hotel plenty of time to re-book the room in high season. I prepaid the entire amount of room charges for all 4 nights on my credit card. The hotel's reservation manager and general manager have repeatedly refused my request for a refund of all or even a portion of the advance payment on the grounds that the travel agent who made the reservation on our behalf should have informed us that the advance payment was completely non-refundable. They refused to take any direct responsibility. Yet whatever may have appeared on the booking engine used by the hotel with travel agents which was not visible to consumers at the time the reservation was made, the "non-refundable" stipulation the hotel relied upon to deny my request was not stated at all in the one confirmation of reservation letter addressed directly to me from Pachtuv Palace's reservation manager. There was no reference in this letter to the prepayment being non-refundable or that the reservation cannot be cancelled. The Pactuv Palace management refused my compromise proposal that they keep one night's room charge as a cancellation fee and refund the remainder of the prepayment. They did not offer to refund the charges for any nights the hotel was able to re-book the room. They did not even offer, as airlines do with their non-refundable tickets, the option to re-schedule the reservation within a specified time and pay a change fee. In short, this hotel's management took advantage of our unfortunate circumstances of an unforeseen illness that necessitated the cancellation, allowing it the opportunity to get paid twice for the same room for the same time period. I would not recommend making any reservations at a hotel that treats its prospective guests in such a cavalier, unfair manner.
