The Murray Arms Hotel

I had a very pleasant stay at The Murray Arms Hotel. The room was nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable – just the right place to relax after a long day. The breakfast was especially delicious, freshly prepared with a great selection. The service was also very friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

A must to visit. The friendliest staff you could ask for. Andoop fronts the most amazing team and there's always a lovely welcome from Hannah behind the bar. Unfortunately I don't know the head chef's name but the food produced by the kitchen is quite fantastic. My favourite is the salmon but my husband would say the prawn pad Thai is the best. A huge thank you to each and every member of the team.

A truly delightful hotel in a lovely, sleepy Scottish village. I can honestly stay it’s one of the best appointed hotels I’ve stayed in. The decor/design is wonderfully detailed and our room was immaculate. It felt like we were the first to set foot in the room. It was beautiful. The communal areas were also styled beautifully and both breakfast and Sunday lunch were plentiful and delicious. We will definitely return. .

With a stylish aesthetic and excellent service, it's hard not to recommend the Murray Arms. We visited for the Sunday lunch menu and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the Pan fried lamb and it was perfectly cooked. Generous helpings of vegetables, which the staff are happy to replenish, and huge Yorkshire puddings made it the perfect Sunday lunch. Gatehouse has excellent options for food so the Murray is another great choice.

A Memorable Birthday Celebration at the Murray Arms: Fantastic Food, Superb Service, and Stunning Surroundings! I recently celebrated my birthday with family and friends in the private dining room at the Murray Arms in Gatehouse, and it was an unforgettable experience! The food was absolutely fantastic, with every dish bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. The surroundings were excellent, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere that made the evening even more special. Congratulations to the team on the recent refurbishment – the place looks stunning! The service was super attentive, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their friendly and professional demeanor added a lovely touch to the celebration. To top it all off, the value for money was excellent. We enjoyed a very high quality dining experience without breaking the bank! I would definitely recommend the Murray Arms for any special occasion or occassional dining. Thank you to all of the team at the Murray Arms for making my birthday so memorable!

Although we only live 40 minutes away from Gatehouse of Fleet our trip to the Murray Arms transported us into a more relaxed mode. The hotel is clean, comfortable and cosy. Food and drinks were excellent and great value. Last by no means least the staff were all friendly, helpful and efficient. Although our stay was only one night we arrived home refreshed and plan to return soon. Many thanks for a great stay.

Just had our 3rd stay here at the Murray Arms. Cannot rate this place high enough.. so pleased we came across this little gem a year ago. The rooms are beautifully decorated, our favourite so far is room 10 with the lovely Highland Cow decor, its very spacious, spotlessly clean, good sized bathroom, tea & coffee making facilities & very quiet. |Breakfast is always a great experience, great choice, friendly & efficient staff, never had to wait long for a delicious, freshly cooked breakfast. We ate in the restaurant each evening, the staff made us feel very welcome on arrival.. between us we had 4 different meals off the menu & all were very well presented & equally delicious. |Would definitely recommend to my family & friends.

Just home from a few days here and have no complaints at all. We decided to stay here due to a family wedding at GG's Yard as it was close by and very pleased with our option. Stay in room 7 which was on floor 1 looked out onto the street was nice and quiet. Room had ensuite which was immaculate just like the rooms. Used restaurant which was the only downside we had a table at 17.30, but our meal didnt come till 19.00, but this was quickly given to us as we went to chase the order. All in all lovely hotel, friendly staff and lovely cocktails 🍸
