Only 2 of 4 halls were open when I visited. There were some of the most inspiring and creative pieces that I have seen in a long time. The work reflects my impression of Thailand... surprising, innovative, fun, and unexpected. Loved it, except I wanted more!

Very nice place to visit. Enjoying good art in a/c room is the best. Even on I day I went there only 2 rooms have exhibition held.

Wonderful exhibition today for a single artist. Dozens of paintings displaying his many works and artistic styles over the years. Standing back you would not think the same artist painted them all. A very well done exhibition of artistic talent. The artist is pictured here. The rest of the museum is closed for renovations.

The National Gallery of Bangkok 🇹🇭 Located on Chao Fa Road in Bangkok’s historic Phra Nakhon District and is housed in the building of the former Royal Thai Mint. You will see unknown and renowned Thai artworks here, both old and new. Great place for a rainy day, that’s not a shopping mall 🛍️ Give yourself at least 1 hour here. Ticket cost 200 baht ($6 USD) Open Wednesday – Sunday, 9am – 4pm Directly across the street is The National Museum. Easy and convenient to see both in the same day (also 200baht ticket).

The National Gallery is a short walk around the corner from several other parks and museums. For only 30 Baht, visitors get access to main spaces that are open as well as the sculpture garden. Visitors should not pay anymore than 30 Baht either in advance or online. They do a lot of repairs and recirculating, so everything is not always open... With that said, we had a chance to see local artists and a Thai professor's exhibition. There is a timeline of past artists influenced by Western culture as well as a welcome from King Rama IX. Overall it's worth an hour and a half of your time. Families will love the expanse, shade and air conditioned exhibits and picnic area at the National Gallery.

Difficult to get to and underwhelming. The gallery appears to shut randomly without notice, so don’t make any special journeys in hopes of seeing it unless you call ahead to ensure it’ll be open when you arrive. The old mint and its courtyard offer a great venue to appreciate Bangkok’s 19th century, European-inspired architecture and the art therein. But not really worth the 200 baht admission. So stop in if you happen to be in the area, but don’t go out of your way. (Btw, pics allowed with no flash)

Open to the public with a 200THB admission fee. Hosting several exhibitions including the BAB2024.. The venue is close to major other museums and sights. Mobility assistance is offered but might need the support of staff if required to operate some lifts. Well worth a visit if art is your thing.
