The National Gallery of Kosovo

National gallery of Kosovo closed on January 7 2025 at 11 am without any information but only unreadable hours. I conclude that Pristina, as I noted for the ethnographic museum, has very little interest in the administration of its few museums. I forgot: the Kosovo Museum is closed for renovation.Very disappointed as a tourist

A free gallery with no permanent exhibition. What you will see will depend on the exhibition at the time. It is a tiny place and in my case the artworks were not particularly interesting, at least for me. It is pretty much right across the amazing brutalist library so you cannot miss it.

Stands behind the National Gallery - it's a small gallery, but nice artworks. Would probably take you 30-45 minutes to really view it. At the time I went, they had borrowed artworks from another Museum. Public Toilet available. Free entry.

From the photos on Google Maps I thought the art gallery was the interesting looking grey building decorated in circles. It is not, it’s a more diminutive building within a stones throw of it. It’s free to visit and includes a handful of modern works, in a handful of well lit modern rooms. It will take all of 30 Minutes to appreciate. What I love about these works are their message, obviously open for interpretation, that speak volumes about the world we live in. Pop on if close by.

It’s free so do not expect a lot of art. The staff were fantastic as they provided an excellent guided tour over the 2 floors.

Think they were doing a renovation as not much art in the museam We were only in 10 minutes. So unfair to really review .

Rather an interesting gallery mainly dedicated to the struggle for independence in Kosovo with some superb photographic history to see. Free entrance so why not have a look if you're near the main pedestrian shopping street and the national library.
