Honestly there aren’t much to see nowadays. The important and good collection are hiding somewhere in the basement I guess.

Great staff, cool exhibits, wonderful zoroastrian erasure, really makes you feel like nothing existed before 570 AD. Because, how could anything? Right? Islam? Would be 5 stars, and don't get me wrong the womens restroom was very clean, almost like nobody has been there in years, but I couldn't help but feel like the foundational structure was cracking. Like, when outdated, decaying structures are there, and then they fall because in reality they were too soft to hold for long. Kinda like that

The museum has a rich collection of historic and more modern artifacts dating to as far back as the stone age. Unlike many museums most of the artifacts are not behind a glass enclosure. I think the museum could benefit from improved ambient lighting and more artifacts from the post Islamic conquest era. Also, I noticed that the English translations lacked the same detail found in the Farsi. A cafe and a play centre for kids would also be nice.

I recommend Afghanistan national museum to all tourists and travelers that must visit, mostly cars.

The National Museum of Afghanistan is located near the Darulaman Palace in southern Kabul City. It is the largest of the museums in Afghanistan. Here they keep all the ancient gadgets, which are related to the history of Afghans.

Museum was great with seperate rooms with different eras but lots of precious items was removed and sent to other countries due to security reasons. Overall it worths the experiance.

A small island of safety and tranquillity in Dar ul-Aman, a most frequently targeted area. I'd definitely stay within these walls for a week if I could. Kidding. The fact is, I'm really obsessed with history, and if you share the same passion, put this museum on your bucket list. I promise you won't be disappointed. Buddhas of all stripes, 18th century weapons, carvings, ethnic garments, wooden statues et alia are waiting for you.
