This is a very good museum with lots to see but a few minor points. There are QR codes throughout the museum; however when you scan a code you come to a Romanian webpage with no translation opportunity. There were, however, information sheets in each of the rooms so that you could get some ideas about the items. But the QR codes were available on most items, which would have been useful. There were not many people in, and there was no queue.

It is located in a very beautiful building that immediately catches your eye and makes you curious to see what's inside. Unfortunately, the interior did not meet my expectations, the collection was quite small compared to the building's impressive exterior and the name it carries. I hope they improve it in the future.

Loved every minute of it! If you want to experience Romanian culture and embroidery, this is the place to visit. The museum shop is a true gem, and the restaurant is excellent as well.

If you are so lucky to visit Bucharest you MUST visit this museum. When you not only see, but appreciate that so many of the implements on display, the iconography artwork and crosses are HANDMADE by peasants, you will experience a life changing moment. The beauty, the talent, the love for values is breathtaking.

A smaller museum with interesting cultural items showcasing average people. An interesting contrast to the National Palace (separate museum). Allow for two hours; good for adults 15+. Inexpensive.

It was nice to see the old Romanian life style. At the time we visited the museum there was a fair in the backyard, it was amazing

Curator of this museum lacks concept on how to bring history, art, religion and overall lifestyle of peasants of Romania together. Very little to see overall. The items displayed lack any kind of information of what time they are from, what they were used for or what the meaning of them is. Each room has a laminated paper, in Romanian as well as in English, mentioning one of the items in the rooms at best and that is about it, reading the paper doesn’t give you any value either. The whole museum takes you maybe 15 minutes to complete all together. The price is 20 lei and after having seen everything that the museum has to offer I did not learn anything about the peasant live in Romania, as nothing at all is explained. It is just a bunch of items in a room together without adding any context, history or details. For just 30 lei you can find better educational value at nearby museums.

Beautiful museum, partially open, cheap ticket (12 lei) with many historical landmarks. In the price of the ticket you can also visit 2 temporary exhibition found in the back of the building. Also here you can find a souvenir shop and a market with artistic items, traditional items and some food stands. The staff could be a little more cooperative.
