Booked for my parents for a late stop after a very long flight. Wonderful warm room with a great walk in shower. Soft comfy bed and mum said it was a fantastic breakfast. They were really happy and the staff were amazing. Extremely simple check in with great communication 5 stars. Many thanks

Restaurant review only. Our second visit to the Natterjack for an evening meal during a valentines weekend away, though we were in fact staying elsewhere. Not disappointed, in fact the food was almost better than our first visit. A well balanced gastro pub menu, generous portions and particularly delicious desserts, chocolate brownie with west country ice cream, need I say more! Reasonable price, friendly and attentive service. As it was February some rather good mulled cider as well. We would recommend and definitely eat here again.

A really lovely stay :-) from the warm welcome when we arrived, we knew we had made the right choice. The room was very comfortable, the breakfasts delicious (even with a hangover, the perfect cure!), and Adrian and his staff were so friendly. We also had dinner there on the Friday night, the menu was varied, and the food delicious, and really well presented. And there was a lovely atmosphere in the bar, creating a great vibe. We were attending a wedding at nearby Pennard House, and the location of the Natterjack was perfect for this. Highly recommend!

The food was fantastic though it took a bit longer than we thought for 4 people. The atmosphere was good and had a lovely experience, the parking was a bit of a nightmare. Amazing location and good hospitality.

Excellent evening meal, lovely atmosphere. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. Breakfast service was brilliant, really nice full English with tasty locally sourced items.

We didn’t stay, this review is for food as a family of 6 this evening. What can I say, other than the food, dining and service (from all staff) is exceptional. Nothing short of perfect! I honestly couldn’t fault them. I am very happy we chose the natterjack for our meal. Thank you so much we will return

Went for a pub lunch with my family. Loads of parking. Great beers. The food was excellent and the portions were very generous. My wife had a lamb and mint pie and it was a proper slab of pie with plenty of meat. I had a halloumi burger and it was lovely. Really great place. Just wish Jet Ski Southwest was still open up the road and I could have shown the kids how cool it was.

The service was very poor at dinner last night. I can only assume they were understaffed. It took ages before anyone came to do our order. At no point during our meal did anyone come back to see how it was. We were left with empty plates for ages and when desert was finally offered the lady was turned around and off before one of the party could ask for the menu. I had to waive someone down for the bill as it was taking so long and then we waited for them to come collect payment, which never happened. Apparently we had to go to the bar to pay, but that was never mentioned to us. As for the food, the pigs in blankets nibbles were great and the other party enjoyed the bread board. My rump steak, ordered medium, was served rare and because no one ever came back (or could see us waiving in the corner) I could never get it corrected before it went cold. The other rump steak, ordered medium well, was correctly done. The rest had a burger and pork (belly?) and didn't say anything bad about theirs that I heard. Oh, and the peppercorn sauce was so bland and tasteless. It certainly seems out of a tin/packet rather than made in-house, which is crazy for the £3+ it cost. It was marginally better when I dumped pepper from the table in it.

A lovely pub in Somerset, however bewarned it is not in the heart of a village. A colleague and I stayed the night and had dinner here the night before auditing a supplier. The food was delicious, and the hosts friendly with good service. Highly recommend the indulgent lemon cheesecake. Well priced, good quality food with MASSIVE portions. The rooms are also wonderfully decorated with comfy beds, nice selection of teas, coffees and homemade biscuits along with fluffy towels and nice toiletries. The only trouble I had is that although it is in the middle of nowhere the road is quite busy and my room was nearest it and therefore very busy. Unfortunately as we had to be up at 5am we didn't get to try their breakfast but the selection looked fantastic. Bewarned if you arrive out of pub hours, they lock up and it can take a while to get someone to open the pub and check you in!

The Natterjack is a really nice pub. It has recently been refurbished and looks fantastic. There is a lot of choice on the menu and the food is very good. There is ample parking and it is in a location where it is accessable to passing trade and easy to find. The natterjack is located between Shepton Mallet and Castle Cary. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The pub gets quite busy so it might pay to book at table on busy night like weekends. The prices were very reasonable the food tasty and the service fantastic.

This recently refurbished freehouse pub offers a very friendly welcome and an appetising menu. Just on the outskirts of Shepton Mallet, this tastefully designed pub offers the traditional Sunday roast and an extensive lunch menu during the week. Food is freshly cooked and locally sourced where possible and there is always something a bit different to the usual pub fayre. Veggies are well catered for. Surprisingly for a Thursday lunctime they were very busy, but then service is excellent, prices reasonable and ambience great.

I really enjoyed my visit to this pub and would definitely recommend it to others. I visited with family, and it was great for this occasion. Everyone visiting was happy with their meal and the service that was received. Prices were reasonable, too. It's easily accessible, and I enjoyed my time there.
