The Nautilus Napier

A fabulous place to stay. The staff, the rooms, the service, the spa, the views all wonderful. I keep coming back.||The past 8 weeks I have stayed here every week for work. I feel like it is such a luxury to be working away from home but being so blessed to have The Nautilus as my home away from home. ||Every time I arrive the staff are warm and welcoming. If I am arriving late they make sure my room is easily accessible. The rooms are lovely, comfortable and a fabulous price. Amazing really that you get such a wonderful place to stay for the price. Handy to the local amenities and a fabulous restaurant right next door. ||Right across the road from the beach where there are free BBQ's for the family to use. You can't get more convenient a place to stay no matter whether you are traveling solo, or as a couple, a group or as a family. ||I highly recommend The Nautilus for all the reasons I have mentioned and so many more.

Nice big room, the rooms a bit tired, paint coming off walls, tiles cracked, shower pressure not very good, water leaked underneath all over the floor. The traffic noise outside was loud, not double glazed Beds were comfy, good location to town, nice restaurant below the motel. Expensive to stay over labour's weekend

A very bad experience, one we won’t repeat, our room was not clean, there were empty sweet wrappers along the floor beside the bed, everything was dusty, we had to request the cleaners come back and remedy. To top it off a staff member let the brakes off a dumpster in the car park which ran into our brand new car, ok accidents happen but they never came and told us, we had to approach management about it. They did accept responsibility but when our insurance company tried to contact them there was absolutely no response for ages, then when they finally did respond they started a dispute over the cost of the repair. A special birthday treat trip to Napier was spoiled. Other than that location was good but that was about all it had going for it, the motel was pretty tired and run down.

The room stunk. We turned up in the afternoon but had to leave not long after due to function commitments. We came back late in the evening and it was overpowering. There was mould growing in the grout of the shower at eye level and actual live mould growing out of cracked floor tiles and the kitchenette units were all swollen due to moisture. We went to complain on check out but surprise surprise, there was was no one at reception in the morning. Would definitely not recommend, terrible health hazard.

Nice location, apartment was nice and spacious. Fridge was small for week stay and frozen all our stuff. Lift didn't work when we left and had to carry everything down. Restaurant was amazing and the staff working there was awesome 👌 👏

Another great stay at The Nautilus! Stunning views. Be sure to open your curtains for the sunset over the beach! It is beautiful. |Great beds. I always have a solid sleep.|Rooms are very clean. Great service.|Just beware of the hot water as it is literally scorching hot! I burned my back while topping up the spa with only hot water.|I would stay here again and again. Fabulous!!

I was upgraded to the room with a Spa bath, so I cannot complain :-). The jets make a lot of noise but it is beautifully set in a corner of the room. The view is beautiful towards the sea. There are lifts. I loved the wooden furniture, just a shame they put in such an ugly carpet. It has good parking and is in walking distance to the town centre. They have a very good Indian Restaurant just around the corner. The rooms were clean, the bed good, good heating and a lot of TV channels. Reception was very friendly and one can get additional bottles of milk. I did not use the kitchen much but as far as I could see there was everything needed.

Amazing veiw and clean room but the downsides were the bedsheet smelled a bit like piss, they hide the menue bill behinde the mini bar snacks so you don’t it till you eat everything and I never got my full refund and when I asked why and I called and emailed them they never responded to me :) I feel like it would of a been more of a positive experience if they didn’t try sneak anything or communicate back,but if you don’t eat any of the mini bar snacks and be careful it would be a good experience for you
