The Nautilus Napier

Stunning stay. We’d just come off trail from a Great Walk and landed at the Nautilus room 205. Beachfront, walk to town. Huge spa tub in room for sore muscles. We spent a very peaceful afternoon enjoying the sunny balcony and listening to the crashing waves. Spacious room with seperate seating area and ample kitchenette for drinks and snacks. Seems family run and they really care. Staff friendly and accomodating but also gave us our privacy. Easy parking. A gem and at a great price.

We stayed here over New Year’s this year, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The rooms were fabulous—featuring a fantastic shower, an incredibly comfortable bed, and those thoughtful extra touches that truly make a difference.||As someone with long hair, I especially appreciated the extra towels—it’s details like these that show real care for guests.||Thank you so much for another memorable stay. We will definitely be back again!

Really enjoyed our stay! Friendly service! Stayed in the executive suite with a double bed in one room (with spa and bathroom) and fold out couch in the lounge on second floor. |It was so amazing to wake up to the sun rising over the ocean every morning! |Close to the Sunday morning markets, beach walks/activities etc. |Room was clean and staff were friendly. Will be back!

The apartments are spacious and attractively furnished. The balcony on first level was the full width of the apartment and the partial view offered a nice view of the coast looking south. Also, the staff here were very friendly and helpful.

I have to high light the reception lady who has been extremely patient, friendly and helpful. Probably the best I’ve seen so far! I was in and out for so many times asking help. And she just very on to it with her friendly smile that made me feel like I’m home.

Unfortunately I was home on a sad occasion but very happy with my decision to book here. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I ordered a room with a spa bath and had an amazing relaxing time. Will definitely book again

The staff wanted to charge me for a small rip (less than 1 centimetre) in a sheet which was already there when I arrived. They also charged me for a small blood stain on one of the sheets. I'm surprised they cared so much about these minuscule details considering the rooms are not even very nice, for example there were water marks on the tables and the rooms were far less attractive than they appeared in the online photos. The staff didn't believe me when I said I didn't rip the sheet, which made me feel very distressed and upset. I travel for work a lot around NZ and I have never ever been charged for small stains on a sheet or falsely accused of ripping a sheet. I also left my room in immaculate condition because I am a considerate and respectful person and I don't want the cleaners having to do extra work. If I had a skin condition, small cut or graze or used pads whilst on my period or had small children I would not recommend staying here as you might be charged for any small stains on sheets or towels.
