Friendly staff, great prices and plenty of options. Would be a fool to not stop by here… Sky was a real gem. Would give 6 stars if could, maybe 7

We drove over an hour to attend New Amsterdam because of the prices advertised on the website AND the app. I placed an order for pick up to ensure quick service. The time for pick up was 75-85mins after the order, so we waited. NEVER received notification that the order was ready for pick up. So we went in to check on it, turns out the printer was broken. No one attempted to fix it, and my order was not ready when I arrived. Nor was it available because all of the items on my order were NOT IN STOCK, although on both the website AND the app the items were available. The employee did not have any suggestion for how to assist us. Mentioned "waiting an hour" (another hour) for another employee whom is NOT the boss, but apparently "knows more than she does". There was no solution or other options provided for us that matched our price range. So after driving out of our way, we ended up spending almost double for LESS then half the product. We Would NOT have made that choice knowing the items were not available. We are due compensation or accreditation for this. This should be made right. I will continue to follow up until it is.

They have the products I want to buy but unfortunately they misrepresent their ability to deliver them. I've ordered from them at least five times they've only actually delivered to me twice. Each time the delivery estimate says approximately 30 minutes to an hour but it always takes two to five hours. Unfortunately throwing in a free silicone ashtray does not make up for the multitude of hours I've spent waiting for products that I've already paid for. I've called the store and spoken to them many times, all they've ever said is either their delivery driver called in or that they're busy. If they are unable to deliver products then they should not say that they can. I will definitely not be spending my money here ever again.

I’ve been to The New Amsterdam several times now. All of that staff have been very helpful and knowledgeable every time I go. Kira has helped me most often. She’s always so sweet and goes beyond what I expect from a budtender. She always addresses my needs or concerns about products, and she’s very engaged and insightful when I ask about products that I’ve never tried before. I’m typically very hesitant about dispensaries, but she makes the whole experience much more approachable and comfortable. I’ll definitely be back!

Had a older bartender attend my husband 4/10 @7:58pm . He slicky tried to hide a nugget under the scoop acting like he didnt intentionally drop it. Hubby watched the whole time & told him at the end "are u not gunna put that nug" mind this the bud was already weighed. It was a HUge nug. Really unprofessional, first and last time here. Weed didnt even smell any dank for 3.5 grams $42. No thank you. RoseBudz for the win 🌹 Ladies/Genz keep an eye, talking gets anyone distracted. Not his first nor last time. Owner check your cameras.

Placed my first ever weed delivery and it was great! My order showed up in less than 20 minutes and Yahniv was very friendly and even threw in a pack of papers and a balloon 🎈 I will definitely be ordering from you again!

I enjoyed shopping at this store when Kira was working more often. It’s weird to me that nothing was put out for pride month as well. I learned all the budtenders I had met will no longer be working there and with this pre packaged bud change I don’t think I see myself coming back to this store. Something seems off

I went in a couple months back for a couple joints on my lunch break to take home with me. The bud tender, Cody, was incredibly rude and insensitive. I asked him how he was doing and if he was stuck working alone (like I do ALL the time.) And he got defensive and said I smell like bug spray every time I come into the store, and said my mom didn't love me (knowing I'm an ex foster based off of previous conversations), stole the money I gave him for the joints and put it in the till (i got it back from the tip jar after confronting him and asking for my money back), recorded me saying this is white america and trying to say im racist, and trespassed me. I called the store and the owner/manager lied and said I stole the money that was stolen from me. Don't go to this store while he's working there, if he still is somehow. Cody is unwelcome in the plaid during my shifts for my own comfort and safety now. Also, the owner responds to negative reviews like a middle schooler, and their bud is terrible.

Go out of your way to go here. I'm from the Bay Area so I've been going to dispensaries for many years and this place is perfect. No fuss, just a great selection of products at all price points with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Sorted. They were having a 20% off concentrates sale the day I went and the prices were already great!

Horrible selection of the worst cannabis and concentrates I've ever seen in my life. Better choices ANYWHERE...

I have been shopping at this location since it opened. Recently they've lost my reward points, Twice. In the last year service and pricing have deteriorated and now the selection as well. Recently I went by on a Saturday and they had a 'Be Back in 10 Minutes' sign taped to the door and I can guarantee they were not back in 10 minutes. When I called, they said they wouldn't be ready to open for a few MORE minutes. This is 5:30 in the afternoon! But I still go back on Tuesday, when its buy an quarter for an eighths price and guess what? Gone, with the puniest selection in store, I told the clerk why I was leaving and will not be back, except to check every few months to see if they've improved.

Being a neighbor to this store, I was very curious about this store for a long time. Because it was under construction for a LONG time. I was admittedly frustrated because on about 4/5 of my first attempts to visit the store it was randomly closed with a note on the door and a list of many dates it would be closed. Turns out, not so random, but they do carry weird hours, so be sure to check before visiting. Now that I've managed to show up when it's open, the wait is worth it. Clean, modern and stylish, good product selection and from time to time, great deals. The staff are all quite pleasant and personable and knowledgeable about the product. A nice addition to my neighborhood!

This is one of those Portland businesses that can't be bothered to be open when they claim to be. Continually closed when "open" and they leave all their signage lit up...superlame. Third time this has happened, which is sad because on the rare occasions they actually are open the staff and selection are both terrific. Closest spot to my house, but second closest is only 4 more blocks, so I won't be wasting my time walking in this direction again; Nectar is NEVER closed when they say they're open. I mean, I get it, you're stoners...but really.

Nathaniel is an excellent budtender. Not only did he help me resolve a small issue, he went above and BEYOND to make me happy. This is what good customer service in the cannabis industry is about-- friendly, knowledgeable service from down-to-earth people who care about customer satisfaction. This is the only dispensary I visit regularly-- and for good reason. ALSO! Great prices!!! Thanks Nathaniel!

Great products, SO AFFORDABLE! The staff are incredibly nice and friendly and engaging. Plus they always have snacks. All the snacks! I live in SE but go out of my way to shop here because the prices are unbeatable, the staff feel like instant buddies, and it just feels so nice in there! Choose this shop, it will instantly become your new home shop like it did for me! I had to bring in a return once and they were super helpful and easy about it.

Bout a month ago I. Had a seizure inside their store. The clerk told me to get up & maintain myself like an adult & he was doing me a favor. I WAS HUMILIATED! The seizures r bad enuf ...then to b treated like that? Well i roles of the odor and thought the whole situation was taken care of. Since I have been there numerous times. I went in there tonight and noticed there were 2 employees, one wast the man n question . so I politely asked to deal with the other employee. AND...WAITB4 IT....WAS THRIWN OUT AGAIN. JUST 4 POLITELY ASKING 2 DEAL WITH SOME1 DUFFERENT!!!!!THE PRICK WHI THRU ME OUT THE 1ST TIME SRARTED TO SCREAM...OK EVERY1 STIRE IS CLOSED FOR 5 MINUTES. He turned off all the interior lights & proceeded to follow me outside , AGAIN SCREAMING AT ME TO.NEVER COME BSCK!!!/ ALL CYZ I WANTED RO AVOUD A confrontation. This is TOTAL BULLSHIT!!! I DID NOTHING WRONG....EITHER TIME!!!

Look at the multiple negative reviews. I am just another one, terrible customer service. I will never come back to this location. Should you come here there is no culture. A local recommendation is Jayne Dispensary they even have curbside pick up! Good luck happy 420!

I partly agree with Dana's review being that it used to be a decent place but now it's gone to shit. Horrible atmosphere with the owner always over your shoulder. The past employees that were great left because of how much it sucked to be an employee at the dispensary. I don't agree with Dana's gripes about them celebrating their holidays by shutting the shop down. I respect that they don't open up for their beliefs. It's not like they're pushing their beliefs on me (like Dana mentioned) by shutting the shop down. I live walking distance from this place but I'll never go back.

New Amsterdam is probably one of the best shops in Portland. Beautiful glassware. High-quality flowers and extracts. I highly recommend them.

Beautiful interior, great selection, and awesome employees, I can't wait to come back to the area to browse their wares again! They offer lots of different price points, so you can get exactly what you want.

This place is great, a large selection of wax, oils, flower, with a really cool looking shop. The staff has always been above and beyond helpful, thoughtful and courteous, if you need any weed, go here!

This place is garbage. The weed isn't very good and overpriced. It's close to my house though.

We LOVE The New Amsterdam! They've typically got a great selection (especially of oil/shatter), insanely great prices & deals, and the staff is friendly and makes just the right amount of conversation. Oh and did I mention $6 1/8s?! Plus, we always loving grabbing a cookie (or two) from the cookie jar while we're there. Roll a joint with the flower you just bought at the free rolling station! It's so rad here. I'd absolutely drive from across town to come here.

One of the cleanest and most modern dispensaries I've visited. The interior looks like it belongs somewhere on the Starship Enterprise. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and my friend and I left happy.
