Stayed for two nights to attend a wedding nearby.|Reception was very friendly despite the staff being busy with bar and restaurant service. The rooms are well decorated and spacious.|This is clearly a well frequented local establishment. I would say that parking is an issue as the car park isn’t large and lots of cars are parked on the road.|The food was typical pub style but was very good. I had the burger which was substantial and good quality. The restaurant was booked up but there was seating outside under umbrellas and the area was heated.|Breakfast was excellent with good quality sausages in particular. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.||Overall it was a very pleasant stay and for a weekend break I would be very happy to recommend it.

From the moment we arrived, Sophie— at The New Inn—made our experience absolutely exceptional. Her warm welcome instantly set the tone for our visit, and throughout our stay she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Sophie’s professionalism, genuine kindness, and attention to detail are second to none. She handled every request with a smile and made us feel more like valued guests than customers. Whether it was helping with local recommendations, ensuring our meals were just right, or simply checking in to make sure we were comfortable, her dedication truly stood out. Customer service like this is what makes The New Inn such a special place. Highly recommended!

Well, where should I begin? It’s difficult and I must say beforehand that I am writing a review about the rooms and restaurant together. If I would have written a review just about the restaurant….5 star, easy. Fantastic food, well prepared, super lovely presented and the service was superb. That was that. The other thing was the room tough. The room itself looked nice, nothing too fancy, soft bed and ok spacious bathroom. Nevertheless there was no door to the bathroom, which was ok for my partner and me, but could be a big bummer for someone. The worst part of the stay was the night. We barely slept through because of a very loud noise which apparently came from some pipes or water heater. It was so loud that we woke up more than just a few times. Almost every hour or so we would be broken out of sleep. The next morning we kindly confronted a staff member and she said, while understandable to a degree, it would be because it’s an old building, what felt more like a dismissal than a solution. We would have appreciated at least a small gesture of compensation for the disturbed night or even a sorry. Perhaps this issue only affects certain rooms. Others may have a better experience. It feels horrible to give such nice place 3/5, but I want to be honest here.

Perfect Cotswold country pub for every season. Log fires and candlelit in the Winter. Outside seating in Summer. My steak was excellent. Our kids loved their smash burger. Fab local ales. Duck leg spot on.

Fabulous lunch with family! One of the tastiest chicken burgers I’ve had in a very long time. Staff were friendly and attentive, with incredibly efficient service. The building itself is beautiful, with a warm and cosy interior. Highly recommended!

A last minute decision to book a room here on Sunday night. Beautiful location and both my partner and I noticed the exceptional cleanliness throughout, both indoors and outdoors. On arrival, three staff huddled muttering behind the bar as we tried to check in as they didn't have the booking on their clipboard. Felt slightly unprofessional however this was minor. We were shown to our room (2), and from then on the service was great (the lady serving breakfast deserves a mention, she was busy but so friendly and continued her smile regardless of the busy period she had). The room was directly above the restaurant so slightly noisy until closing but nothing more than would be expected. It was equipped with plenty of towels, vanity kits and tea/coffee facilities. Very comfortable space and had a great night's sleep. The only gripe about the room was the water temperature in the shower was inconsistent. At times it was running very cold with only a few seconds of luke warm water. We had some food to share in the evening which was lovely. The pork croquette must be tried! Breakfast was also included, table service and one of the best full breakfasts we have had. Overall, whilst I think there's always room for improvement, it wouldn't feel right to give anything other than 5* for our stay here. Thank you! Would definitely recommend.

Eaten here several times - it is always busy. I am amazed at how they get food out in volume to such a high standard and at a reasonable price. The Flat Iron chicken is amazing, as is Pork Schnitzel. Nice friendly service too and it is a peach of a country pub visually. I will be back (This week in fact!).

The setting of the rooms was lovely and so was our family suite room. However it was quite dusty in the room and could tell it had been like that for a while. |Staff on arrival were very friendly. However, they could have provided more information about the process with breakfast and check out (time etc) |The restaurant was lovely and we both had high hopes looking forward to dinner but overall experience was not very enjoyable. The service was very slow. We waited 30+ minutes after receiving the bill to be able to pay.|I had the ribeye steak for dinner and for £32 I was quite disappointed as the steak was reasonably small and arrived in the sauce which made it quite soggy. My partner ordered a chicken burger and was quite satisfied with this. |We attended the dinner hoping to have a Sunday dinner each, but were told they have ran out. There were also multiple meals/items on the menu which were missing off the menu leaving a very limited option to start with. |Car parking was quite limited but as the night went on, spaces freed up a bit. Something to keep in mind if you stay here as there is limited road side parking as well. ||Overall, the stay was lovely! However, there are multiple things I mentioned which would put me off staying here again.

Yelp
This inn offers plenty of outdoor seating (covered) as well as a refined indoor dining area and casual indoor dining area. Service is friendly. Recommend: treacle sponge and custard

Yelp
Neat and well presented pub with rooms in the chocolate box village of Coln. My room was on the small side but clean and comfortable. As with many similar inns , room access can be a bit difficult so it's perhaps advise able to check that if problems might arise. Parking is good behind the inn which iis easy to find on the village Main Street. Cosy bar and a cooked breakfast with additional buffet items available.
