Got two shirts here and totally loved the vibe! Cool streetwear spot with local brands and really good designs. The setup feels modern and artsy — perfect for anyone into fashion and street style. Definitely worth checking out when in Saigon.

The New Playground is super cool with quality clothing at great prices. Many brands to choose from with their own unique style. Note - if you buy something from a brand "Funky", check to ensure products don't have a stain on it as they will not exchange it even for the exact same tshirt without a stain. 1 star for this brand.

A cool spot where local brands and Gen Alpha streetwear all come together in one place. If you like trendy, youth-style fashion, this is definitely worth a visit. But I have to say, I was a bit shocked by the Vietnamese sizing. Trying on local clothes here was an experience. Normally I wear size L for formal wear and M for fitted clothes, but here I ended up in XL and had to look at “chubby/plus-size” sections. The size chart can really mess with your confidence for a minute! Overall, it’s a fun place to explore and check out local fashion, just don’t take the sizing too personally. 😅

I visited The New Playground to explore its streetwear offerings and found it to be a compelling option for those seeking affordable fashion. The range is clearly curated with younger, trend-conscious shoppers in mind, and the quality is reasonable relative to the price point, making it accessible without feeling overly compromised. From a retail environment perspective, there were some noticeable limitations during my visit. Certain corners of the space felt humid and carried an unpleasant smell, which appeared to stem from poor ventilation. This did impact overall comfort while browsing, particularly during peak hours. That said, the concept itself remains appealing, especially for younger and more fashion-forward shoppers who prioritise variety and price over ambience. On a personal note, I prefer the newer New Playground located across the street at Vincom Centre, which offers better ventilation and a broader mix of shopping options, resulting in a more comfortable experience overall. Despite the environmental drawbacks at this location, The New Playground still delivers value through affordability and style. It is worth visiting—others may find the experience aligns well with what they are looking for, even more so than it did for me.

Lots of different fashion stalls to explore, but do take note — there’s no air-conditioning and barely any ventilation, so it can get really warm and stuffy, especially when it’s crowded. Highly recommend bringing your own portable fan to stay cool. The place has a few levels and there is a lift, but the overall building feels a bit run-down. Also, there’s no washroom inside. The nearest restroom is located directly opposite the shopping mall.

Catered for the younger crowd, plenty of street wear and local fashion boutiques. The underground may be the most obvious entry, the secret lies on the higher floors. Plenty more clothes shop and even a cafe and a rooftop bar.

This shopping area is located right in the heart of the backpacker district, making it convenient for both me and others to visit. Inside, there are clothing stores, restaurants, gyms, and more. I think this is a must-visit spot in the Saigon area. There’s also parking available for motorbikes and cars in a nearby basement.
