The New York Deli

The New York Deli remains one the best places in Cardiff to eat. I had my usual - the Reuben hoagie. Despite not being there in many years, the hoagie remains a massive sandwich ( approx £10 in price which sounds steep, but is honestly so worth it! ), which leaves you full for the rest of the day. Im a big chap, and I finally felt slightly hungry again around 10pm - roughly 9hrs after eating! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, despite at the time of my visit being obviously very busy. I would, and do, highly recommend the New York Deli to all my friends and family when i know they are visiting Cardiff and I truly hope the Deli manages to stay open for another 30yrs at least. I won't be leaving as long between visits the next time!

Wow, what a gem! We stopped by for Saturday lunch, even though it was quite busy the service was quick. The Bagels were amazing and the cheesy fries were to die for! Definitely going back next time I'm in Cardiff.

Definitely going to have to work my way through the whole menu, brilliant bagel, the bread itself was amazing! Quick & efficient service too, thank you gents, filled me up for the whole day!!

If you’re looking for a proper hoagie, this place delivers. Ours were absolutely stuffed with meat and sauce — messy in the best possible way, and seriously tasty. My team and I were working on the stage at Cardiff Castle and this was the perfect fuel for a long day. Generous portions, great flavor, and a spot we’ll definitely return to when we’re back in the area.

SUPERB!!! Delightful hoagies. Full of flavour and they're HUGE (skip breakfast if you're coming here for lunch!). Staff are friendly and prices are reasonable considering the portion sizes. 10/10 recommend.

Ordered the New York Bagel for lunch, had a nice conversation with the man behind the counter making it. The bagel was great, the price for what you get was great, the conversation was great, a real hidden gem! Will be back next time I’m in Cardiff!

Amazing food - plenty of vegan options too!

Absolutely delicious. Probably now my favourite lunch spot in Cardiff. Super friendly staff who clearly take a massive amount of pride in the food they serve. Portions are also massive. Had the New York hoggie and stole a few of my friend's fries. Both absolutely amazing.
