A beautiful hotel nestled in a prime location. Being an older city, we were concerned that our room wouldn’t accommodate the family, but wow, were we shocked. A beautiful room with ample space. From the entrance of the building to the room itself, we felt as though we were being transported into the past, with modern amenities. The hallways are strewn with antiques and artworks. The front courtyard made it feel grand and inviting. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. What a memorable stay. Can’t wait to return.

It was on May 2025 that my wife and I spent 4 nights at this hotel. We were surprised by how difficult its location is, not only to walk on, but also to drive. It is located on a very uneven narrow cobble stone alley, it can be difficult for seniors, or anyone else with mobility problems. However, it is within old-city walls, and close to the Temple of Diana and the Cathedral. ||As expected, the room was really small. The bathroom was functional, but the open shower space made difficult to keep the floor dry. The breakfast quality was not what you expect on a four star lodging. ||At check-in time, we were given the choice of paying then or when we leave, which we decided to do. However, when we were leaving, we found out, the bill had been charged a couple of days before. The staff did not have the decency to inform us at all. In my opinion, that is not attentive good service.||Also, nobody informed us of a second hotel entrance, leading to a much easier to walk-on street. As seniors, and unused to walk on hilly cobblestone streets, telling us about it would have been a lot of help.||It is obvious that service needs improvement, and I may add, attention to detail. For all the reason above, I can not bring myself to recommend this hotel.

This a lovely boutique hotel in the old centre of Evora. Beautifully renovated in an old building the hotel is fresh and modern. Our room was large and very clean. The bed was really comfortable and the wifi was good. We had a balcony and access to free parking on site; rare in this type of hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpul. It was in a great location for exploring Evora.

A lovely hotel with an amazing staff. Really great location and good tips from the staff for places to eat. They were very attentive and helpful if you needed anything. We had our parrot with us and it was great to have a nice hotel that accommodated a pet. I was a bit disappointed that their restaurant was not open for dinner. The large room was sunny and the bed very comfortable. The room just had a few quirks that could be easily fixed: hooks in the bathroom so the towels could dry - there was a very small rack and a shelf in the bathroom that was large enough to put cosmetics on. They have a very small shelf and we didn't have much but had to put it on the floor. Also, one of the sheets was stained, a bit disconcerting. I didn't see it until day 2 so I didn't report it.

We had a very comfortable, modern, nice size room near the sights in this historic hotel. They have a few parking spaces on site. The gentleman at the front desk went out of his way to be helpful. The breakfast area is pleasant with good choices. The heat wasn’t working so they gave us a plug-in space heater. Definitely recommend.

We can only speak from our own experience, but Evora is undeniably beautiful—a charming city we discovered quite by chance and decided to stay in overnight. We made a last-minute booking for a family suite. While the main building of the hotel has a rustic charm and is quite pleasant, the family suites—located in a separate, modern annex across the road—left much to be desired. Unfortunately, the space felt dark, damp, and poorly renovated. There was a strong musty odour, likely due to persistent moisture and signs of mould. The main window opened onto a gloomy interior patio, while the other windows were positioned below ground level, making the rooms feel even more enclosed and uninviting. To their credit, the staff responded to our concerns and offered two separate rooms in the main building as an alternative. However, as we were travelling with two young children, this solution wasn’t practical for us. Unless the hotel undertakes a thorough renovation of the family suites, I wouldn’t recommend booking them. Our experience aligns with similar concerns raised in other reviews.

Charming accommodation in an historic building, right in the heart of Évora, a short walk from all the major attractions. The service is excellent, from the managers through all the staff. (We had a small issue involving the heater in the room; it was addressed promptly with the utmost courtesy.) Although there is no lift, the staircase is wide with generous landings, and the staff will do all the carrying of luggage for you. We look forward to returning.

Yelp
The Noble House Hotel is a small boutique-type hotel within Evora's walled old city. This place has preserved most of its old-charm as seen by some the original traditional azulejo tiles in the buffet area. The rooms have AC and are clean with a minimalist interior decor. The beds are firm and comfortable and they provide great quality towels. They have a hair dryer, have a reasonable number of electrical sockets and a decent sized safe. They have strong wifi which is a must for travelers. The staff are 5-plus helpful. Our reservation had the sumptuos breakfast buffet included which we really enjoyed. We really enjoyed our stay. Note: They need to mitigate the unsightly mold on the bottom portion of shower stall.
