Yelp
I was in the mood for something hearty and quick after traveling from the East Coast. Nova Cafe popped up highly recommended on Yelp so I jumped in the car and headed to downtown. It's only about 15 minutes (or less if you're not memorized by the views, like me!) from the airport and there was plenty of 2-hour parking available on the street.
I got there around 1:20pm and they close up at 2pm, so I made sure to be quick about my choices so that the staff could still close up on time. All in all, it's a great place. Good vibe and a friendly staff. The counter girls were a little disappointed that it had been a slow day and were talking loudly about the money they weren't making. It's always a tough conversation to overhear, but at the end of the day, I know times are tough, so I made sure to tip heavy. Still, it was a little awkward.
The food is awesome. I took the waitress' recommendation and had the Huevos Rancheros and added chorizo. It was a huge portion, but with a perfect over medium egg. LOVED the fresh jalapeno. Seriously, it was a ton of food. You could easily split that with 2 people.
The chai was comforting and I was happy to hear that they carried every single kind of milk alternative. (Oat is my favorite.)
All in all I have to say, it's GOOD but it's basic and a little pricy (I was about $30 for my 2 items plus tip). Sounds like they do some fun specials daily which would be worth a try. Bozeman has a ton to offer (so it seems) so I will say that I'd recommend this place, but didn't feel like it packed enough for a second visit.
