First time eating here and it was a great experience. Food is absolutely delicious 😋🤤 and staff was very nice and attentive. Definitely recommend stopping and enjoy a delicious meal. The meatloaf and garlic mashed potatoes 🤤

Both dishes had great flavor. However Veggies were very overcooked.

The Nugget was recommended by a friend who frequents the area. Pretty cool Saloon Style bar & grill. Arrived on a Thursday afternoon for lunch. Found street parking quickly and there was no wait to be seated. I ordered the BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich with fries. The portions were generous but lacked some cole slaw. I would not order this again but they have lots of items on the menu that I would try. They have 3 TV's and great music playing in the background! (Marvelettes, Stevie Wonder, Zeppelin). Was greeted warmly by the staff and they were attentive as well. Even asked if I wanted a drink to go!

What a CUTE place! Very unassuming from the outside, but full of life and tasty surprises on the inside! Heard this place had the best steaks in town and had to give it a shot. From the moment you walk in the door you feel like you’re in a local hang out and that’s exactly what this place is. This restaurant has been around for over 50 years serving up delicious steaks in much more! I had the sirloin steak salad (made using organic mixed greens), cooked medium rare, and it was absolutely delicious. The steak was so tender. It could be cut with my fork and perfectly cooked! Will definitely be back to try some other delicious looking items on the menu!

Very cute local bar. They have also nice outdoor sunny sitting. The beer was great and I loved the jalapeño poppers. Great service.

I was on a quick lunch break and the server was considerate and helped me get seated on the patio as well as my food expedited with a to go box so I can get back to work. The Crunch burger with onion rings was absolutely delicious.

I've been looking for a quiet, friendly, relaxed place where I can just sit with friends and talk, eat a good meal, and enjoy some time together. The football game was on the TV. It was not invasive to the atmosphere.

Great food. Large portions. Friendly staff. Here's a tip, their breakfast is really good and the bartender makes great bloody Mary's. If you don't want to wait for the line at Summerland Beach Cafe, this is a terrific place to have a meal any time of day

Shitty food, shitty service with bad attitude. Never coming to this dump again. Never coming back to my old favorite, I sat for a good ten minutes and when I finally got a waittress and told her I had been waiting ten minutes she said " no you havent" I walked out. i will newer return. I did not yell at the waitress, I took a menu from her hand. The review I wrotr was from your other shitty restaurant in Goleta. Women eating alone dont go here, its gone to hell. Read what the owner said to me.

We don't often get to visit during the week and so we are just used to the seasoned servers on the weekend. We were pleasantly surprised with the service, personality, and welcome attitude of our server, Sophia. She is a younger server, age wise, but really knew her Customer Service. Her smile was very radiating and set the tone right at the start.

We were in Summerland and wanted something to eat. We wandered into the nugget. You truly are stepping back a little bit in time. The walls are covered with photos license plates, even a saxophone reserved for President Clinton and a photo of him eating there. You find posters of Ronald Reagan and photos of him eating there. The food is hamburgers, seafood salads chili I ordered Patty melt on great rye bread and with an amazing amount of french fries. It was about 16 or $17. My friend had a hamburger with fries for 13 so extremely reasonable they will be opening a new location in Carpinteria soon about a month from now And I can't wait to try it. Our service was very good quick and friendly parking is on the street and after your lunch, I suggest walking and seeing the various antique stores, our galleries and brand new bookstore called godmothers, which was fantastic.

I didn't know about this little strip of shops off Lillie Ave in Summerland. But Yelp, you led me here for a burger. The nugget is a bar with inside dining and an outdoor patio in front. I came in a Saturday afternoon and the bar was packed and several inside tables were full. I waited at the host desk as I wasn't sure if I had to notify someone that I wanted to sit outside. The hostess came along and lead me outside. I was immediately helped by my server that took my order and brought me water quickly. I ordered the Ortega Chili Pepper Jack Burger and I added sweet potato fries. The food was perfect! The sweet potato fries were hot and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They served them with ranch; which I love because I usually have to ask for ranch at other places. The burger was easily one of the best burgers I have ever tried. It was grilled juicy, flavorful with slight pink in the inside. I loved the massive chili pepper that was sliced in half on top of the cheese. The only thing that made this experience a 4 was that my server not once came back to check on me or the table next to me (he was also their server). I had finished my water halfway through my burger and would have liked more and after waiting for about 15-20 min of being done with my meal, I flagged down the hostess to ask for a to-go box and that I wanted to pay my check. I am not sure what happened there with the server. Maybe he was on break but it was disappointing to not have someone check on me. I would still recommend this place and I would still come back because the burger was epic. But I hope that the servers would up their game a bit.

Came here on New Years Eve with the hubby. We love the decor and the food! Awesome looking cowboy bar with animal heads on the way. The bar was awesome with extensive spirits. The food was so good and great portions. I got the steak and my husband got the ribs. The ribs were so tender they fell off the bones. The mash potatoes were so flavorful and the veggies still had a bite to them and so much flavor. Would recommend for anyone whether with friends or kids to come here. Service was amazing as well.

The menu is large with wonderful options. We went back a few times while we were in town. Delicious food, generous portions and good service. It was really more than we were expecting. The seared Ahi appetizer was perfect! Totally recommend this restaurant!

If you want the right type of old school setting with wall decor to gaze at the entire meal, this is your place. The menu has so many mouth water options, the loaded skins were so good and not dry! Out of all the options the Crunch Burger stood out the most! And I wasn't disappointed! We actually initially wanted to go to a different spot but this place was open and looked just as good, and now we're glad we came. The other items we got not pictured was the Shrimp Scampi (well made and delicious), and the Philly Cheesesteak (I wish this was endless) Worth it 1000%. The server was talking a little too much with her friends which was a turn off considering they were pretty packed, I get their your friends but you have other temporary friends you need to focus on.

Best wings ever. Enjoyed lunch and cocktails, pre wedding. Will definitely return to enjoy the small town beach bar experience!

Food Omg so good , no complaints . I ordered fish and chips like I always do at restaurants and they did not disappoint. It was delicious and wonderful along with the Caesar salad Service This is a place you feel like you want to live down the street from literally everyone was nice from the Patreon to the hostess to the bartender I'm just so grateful for how sweet everyone was Ambiance It has a clean, cheers ,dive bar vibe that I can't explain you just have to come and see Overall I'm coming back !

The staff were very friendly and made sure our large group of 9 got all our drinks and orders taken quickly and correctly. The food itself was okay. I've been to The Nugget before and it was great, but this time didn't hit the same. The atmosphere was great and we still would go again.

So here's my review take it however you want. My mom just came home to Thousand Oaks from a 2 day vacay with her friends in Santa Barbara. They went for lunch at The Nugget today. She came home with a to go box with half a sautéed trout and some coleslaw in it. She offered it to me. I ate it for dinner. I barely heated it and ate it for dinner. It was the best fish I've had in a long time. The cole slaw was the perfect side to it. It was freakin delicious! And it was a hand me down, leftover meal! I look forward to going to The Nugget for real and eating their delicious food fresh. In the meantime, I'm grateful I got to try their food cause I know what I'm ordering when I go!

Second time here. Still the same friendly service and chill atmosphere. I had the pastrami, so good. Mom I law had the tuna melt, she thought there was too much relish in it. Little man loved the nuggies.

Not to long ago after I VA appointment in Sepulveda with my friend Alison who was kind enough to go with me where to stop for Lunch heading back to Santa Barbara? Well we considered several options and we settled on The Nugget in Summerland. Oh my what a Treat! It certainly was not on our Radar what a Wonderful experience. Our server was Amazing friendly and engaging. She and Alison had a Stimulating conversation about Nail polish! The Chef stopped by to check on us. I personally Love the Attention! I Highly recommend The Nugget it's off the beaten Path yet Right in our Backyard yard.

We came here tonight for dinner! Such a cute little place, gives me old western vibes. Our waiter was so nice and our food came out super quick even though they were packed! I got the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, so so good! I also got a glass of 2018 Brander Sauvignon Blanc, pretty good as well! I will definitely come here again, because I'm eager to try more of their menu!

We stopped in for dinner on St. Patrick's Day and even thought the place was packed we had excellent service and the food was too! Many locals recommended the salmon which was as fresh and tasty as eating in Alaska. The apple pie was great and the vibe is totally local and they have great bartenders. Don't miss this gem of a neighborhood bar with outstanding food.

Stopped by on our way home from Paso Robles to wait out the traffic in the area, the food was really good and came out pretty quickly. The potato skins were amazing as well as the burgers. Everyone was pretty friendly and the place just had a good vibe with a mix of people passing by like myself and regulars that know everyone in the restaurant. We will definitely be adding this to our list of places to stop if we are in the area.

Sadly, one of our usual spots has really declined in the past few months and the locals have stopped going. One of the best bartenders in town who had worked at the Nugget for over 20 years was let go, in addition to another favorite server. New hires are clueless and simply don't have any regard for those that have been coming to the Nugget for years, even decades. It's super sad to see it decline so much. Now when we go we hardly see a familiar face. Gone are the usuals and now it's just tourists passing through oblivious to how much this place has changed. I hope the owners read these reviews because there are a lot with the same complaints.

Passing through the coast and stopped here for dinner after polo nearby. BEST burger and slaw dinner. My vegetarian friend loved her ceasar salad. Love the atmosphere.

The waiter was so pleasant and prompt. The omelets were delicious and generous and reasonably priced. Decor inside is a hoot!!!

Good food - good variety. This is a bar and restaurant, so it was a little more noisy, but that was to be expected. The service was good and our server was quick to fix a small issue with some extra crispy onion rings. We all ordered something different and the food all came to the table hot and delicious.

We gave The Nugget another shot the other night only to be disappointed again. We were seated right away on a Saturday night and our waiter was terrific, but the food was not. I ordered the chicken nuggets and chose the vegetables and salad as sides. The chicken was good, but there was a piece that was way over cooked and inedible; why even bring it out on the plate? The vegetables had no taste and the salad was dry. My mom ordered the Cobb Salad and she actually thought they brought her the wrong salad, because there was hardly anything on it. When she asked the waiter, he said it was tossed (only two little pieces of egg?); we were not impressed. My Oma ordered the steak sandwich medium rare and said it was more medium. My dad also ordered the steak sandwich and was not very happy with it.

The food is great, but the manager on Fridays and Saturdays is not customer friendly.

We love The Nugget but we ordered take out and they completely messed up the order. Too tired to drive back to correct it.

I really enjoyed my dinner. I think this is a great spot to stop my while driving up north or south on the 101. The places looks like you are walking into a western movie. The food was amazing. I had the chicken tortilla soup to start with a Irish Mule. I also had the T-Bone Steak. It was so tasty. I had it with the veggies and mash potatoes. I will definitely try to stop here again.

Horrible...... I've been a patron of the Nugget for over 20 years. Definitely one of my go-to places to dine pre Covid. This evening definitely reminded me of Gordon Ramsay's "Kitchen Nightmares." Basically, any restaurant with a million items on the menu can't prepare EVERYTHING FRESH DAILY . To be in the safe side I ordered a cheeseburger.... How difficult could it be. Burger was not prepared the way it was ordered, it was burnt. The fries were COLD and HARD AS A ROCK. Honestly, you're better off stopping by McDonalds, local pizza parlor, or food truck.

Been enjoying end of week dinners here for many years. reliable quality, friendly folks, relaxed and friendly atmosphere, great value, everything we've had we've enjoyed. They make an effort to connect with customers and it's fun to see regulars every time. Reminds us of Cheers -- a neighborly caring spot.

Stopped by The Nugget for lunch today. First time here, server sat us down immediately. Boom! Good start. Chips n Guac - delicious Tacos del Mar - it's on the wall, I was looking out the window but my wife pointed it out, very tasty! Definitely stopping by next time we're on the coast. One more note, we left the place next door, they wouldn't serve us, just kept walking by our table so we left. Good for us because lunch at The Nugget was an excellent experience. Regular customer for too many years to count. The recent change in management and firing of some of our favorite servers makes it less attractive and enjoyable for us. Searching for alternatives.

the nugget has gone way downhill! They have got rid of all our local favorite servers and replaced them with people that do not care about service or quality. So sad to see things go so far downhill! clearly falls on poor management! Hopefully the owners realize this and wake up. Bring back our servers that care about service , quality and us locals! That's your bread and butter! these new servers are clueless and horrible! We were in there today and they didn't even turn in our ticket and completely ignored us for 45 minutes! It wasn't even busy? We were the only couple sitting in all of the booths. It was unbelievable! we got up and left. We have been going in there for decades! My husband since the 1950s! So sad.

What has happened at the Nugget? New management has ruined the family friendly environment. So sad to hear they fired the best bartender they had. Won't be going back.

Had an early NYE drink and dinner with my daughter. Loved the causal atmosphere, western theme and down home food. We shared the macaroni and bacon appetizer, decedent and scrumptious. Also enjoyed a burger and pulled pork sandwich. Big servings! Will definitely be back:)

Just fresh and good even when they are busy as they can get.. crammed with customers .. we ordered salads and onion rings and I was really starving so it totally hit the spot. Good prices.. I had a glass of Rombaur Chard that was 18$ and seemed a bit shocking but i guess that's about right when you think about it ..No complaints.. just a solid fun night with good eats

The Nugget has been a part of my life for over 50 years! From simple family dinners with my brothers to organized family event gatherings to enjoying dinners at the bar with other friends, the Nugget will never disappoint. This is a place where ranch owners have dinner with their ranch hands. I will forever be proud to be a part of this restaurants history.

Food is Always Good in Summerland location!!! I haven't had any problems with waiters or waitresses except one where I left a penny tip to show how bad that waitress was!!! Haven't seen her since, go figure.... Right now I think the Christmas lights are up inside kind of makes it comfy... Beautiful inside at night!!!!

The Nugget has been around for ages and is a good place to meet up for a meal. The atmosphere is unique and tavern-like with Christmas lights strung everywhere and animal heads hanging from the walls. The menu is mostly American foods and tends to be pretty average. Their chili is decent and french fries are good. The last time I went, I ordered the meatloaf and it was... not my favorite flavor. The meat was dry and no amount of gravy could help bring that juiciness back. The mashed potatoes were good and the veggies were not mushy and a good balance of healthy. But the meatloaf itself, the main course, makes this an incredibly skippable meal. My husband ordered cheese quesadillas which ended up being loaded with tomatoes and large slices of onions. It was not what you'd expect from ordering a basic cheese quesadilla, so it was a bit too much for his taste. My mother-in-law always gets the potato skins and she loves them. They look good, but I can't vouch for their tastiness as I've never ordered them. It is hard to get something like potato skins wrong, though. Stick with the very basics and enjoy the atmosphere and company.

The atmosphere is energetic and fun. The service is wonderful ( yay Ryan and others) and the onion rings are delicious! The menu and daily specials offer a nice variety of options and the food is dependable for being tasty.

Great bar and restaurant in Summerland. Our regular haunt. Often the special is Sea Bass which they cook to perfection.

We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon after an event at the polo field. I found The Nugget looking for a restaurant close by. This has a resemblance of a dive bar by my house with a upscale menu (in comparison). We shared 3 dishes; Buffalo wings, Bacon Blue Cheese Burger and Philly Cheese Steak . All were very good.

We have been going to the Nugget in Summerland for 20 something years! Always found the food great and the employees welcoming to locals and tourists alike! We are witnessing a change in there management and employees! Far and few are the welcoming smiles when we walk in the door! Tonight my husband and I asked for a booth, and one was available and were denied! 15 minutes later they gave it to anothet couple!? Not sure why they are turning away good customers! But we probably won't be back! Miss the old school people who know their customers
