The Oberoi Beach Resort, Bali

My mother and I had a fantastic stay for our first visit to Bali in November 2024. We chose the luxury partial ocean view villa, and it was worth every moment. The resort's stunning beachfront location and convenient access to the beautiful beach made it the perfect getaway. Our villa combined modern comfort with Balinese charm, and the staff was incredibly attentive. We loved the delicious local cuisine and the range of activities offered. It was a memorable experience, and we highly recommend it for anyone visiting Bali.

We stayed at the Oberoi Seminyak for our vow renewal ceremony. The Oberoi team was amazing in organizing it. We couldn’t be more happy and it even went beyond our expectations, everything was so beautiful. Sastra made sure everything went smoothly and followed up all of our requests before the ceremony. The photographers and the hairdresser the hotel arranged for did their job very well. We got beautiful outfit for the ceremony, relaxing spa treatment and our hotel room was very romantic and the staff had obviously made an effort to gratulate us in a spesial way. We felt like royals while getting treated perfectly by the wonderful staff in the beautiful surroundings. This is the best hotel we have ever stayed at. If we ever come back to Bali we would love to stay there again.

Disappointment – Overpriced and Mediocre As someone who works in the hospitality industry, I rarely leave harsh reviews, but this time it’s necessary. Paying a high price for quality is a choice, but paying an exorbitant price for terrible food and mediocre quality feels like robbery For 15 years, I have been coming to the Oberoi for breakfast. In the past, the quality was there, and the pricing was reasonable. Today, the chef is no longer a chef but someone hiding behind a title, the GM is incompetent, and the CEO and shareholders are nothing but greedy profiteers It’s sad to see a once-iconic five-star hotel become a reflection of what Bali’s tourism has become—a collapsing system where both tourists and locals have sold their souls for money. You are no longer a luxury hospitality brand; you are heading straight into the mass tourism market, where the only value you worship is money, at the cost of everything that once made this place special. Bali’s tourism industry is on the verge of collapse, and your outdated business model will go down with it. Soon, the only value your hotel will have is its rare location, but there are now thousands of better options at much lower prices. You are the perfect example of what Bali’s tourism has become—overpriced, soulless, lacking in quality, and aesthetically unappealing. Already visited many times this Oberoi Hotel: Excellent Balinese style hotel at the beach. ||Wonderful, friendly & professional staff, who have an eye for every detail of your stay. ||Recently a new chef started in the hotel, and missing easy traditional dishes on the menu, esp. when you are staying longer for couple of days. As everywhere in Bali alcohol drinks are pricy & limited in your glasses. ||Looking forward to my next stay in Bali.

The location makes you feel like you’re in an oasis and another world away from the chaos of Seminyak. The grounds are lovely and impeccably maintained, but the real Star would be the staff. They’re very good at remembering names, but more importantly, they do so many small things that are almost imperceptible. One day we were lounging by the pool and someone came around and cleaned everyone’s sunglasses. On another, we had to do some laundry and noticed that the piece of paper you fill in already had our name and room number handwritten in. ||||I’ve stayed in many five star hotels around the world, but the level of service and kindness from the staff really is at the very top level. ||||Thank you!

Stayed at the Oberoi from 24-28 Dec 2024. |The staff made our stay most enjoyable. They were most friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. A special mention to the food and beverage manger - Mr Angga and his kura-kura team ( Santana, Bily, Anitya, Diah, Saumbara, Nyoman, Andika, Lia, Zaka, Aditi and Melin). These wonderful people catered to your tastes and were at our beck and call most times. The meals were wonderful and delicious and Mr Angga was at hand to advise choices.|My wife had an accident and fractured her elbow. Mr Angga arranged for ice and dressings to help her. He sent beautiful bouquets of flowers to our room.|Many in the group of 13 contracted the Norro virus. The staff were super accommodating with assistance; we were given copious amounts of fresh coconut water, ginger tea and soup.|In spite of these mishaps we had a most enjoyable stay only because of the staff. |Highly recommended

We had an amazing stay here. The staff were exceptional. The hotel grounds are beautiful and the food was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for staff and they went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bali.

Good and convenient buffet. Worth the 450 baht. In general, good service as a whole. The staff was nice and very attentive. location is great. right next to a park and right next to good malls. the out door traffic can be bad at times though since the hotel is just a block away from the asoke station.
