The Oberoi Beach Resort, Sahl Hasheesh

Our 25th-anniversary stay at The Oberoi Sahl Hasheesh was nothing short of perfection. The Setting: The location is a 10/10. Turquoise blue waters surround a property where the suites are designed so perfectly that every window feels like a living painting. The decor is the definition of timeless elegance. We did not step out of the resort for our entire stay. The activities (pottery, horse/camel riding, pool) kept us busy :) The Service (10+/10): The staff is the true heart of this resort. A massive thank you to Mr. Nagy and Mr. Maher from management for their personal touch in ensuring our milestone was special. Special shoutouts to the incredible team who made us feel like family: Chef Nabendu, Khalil at the breakfast cafe, Hisham and Mai at Zaafran, Morilyn, and Shabaan at the front desk. Every request was met with a genuine smile, and the housekeeping team was impeccable. The Food: Never boring! A brilliant mix of Indian, Arabic, and International cuisines. While the breakfast spread is lovely, the a-la-carte menu was amazing!. Absolute perfection. They went above and beyond to address every detail, turning our anniversary into a memory we will cherish forever. Thank you, from our hearts!

Beautiful hotel that is right on the sea. Big and beautiful villa set ups with good views from the hotel. The hotel staff are also very friendly. The diving with Mahmoud was excellent - his clear guidance and direction were very helpful. The food was good, however, the service was incredibly slow. When you sit it takes a long time to get a drink (even just a bottle of water). and food takes a very long time to arrive. Meals (lunch and dinner) seemed to take forever and the service was chaotic. The wifi is also very unstable. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would still recommend it.

Beautiful hotel, amazing staff, a great place to stay to relax and unwind. |Unbelievably good food with varied menus - the executive chef gave personal service daily. All staff were more than helpful couldn’t do enough to make our stay special. Brilliant beach, snorkelling straight from the jetty with beautiful coral garden with hundreds of tropical fish. Great fun on the tennis court with hotel coach! ❤️ ready to rebook already

Great Stay at Hurghada’s Leading Beach Resort We ended our Egyptian roundtrip at The Oberoi in Hurghada a few weeks ago, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. Having stayed at other luxury properties in Egypt (including the Four Seasons Cairo) and knowing the Oberoi brand from India, our expectations were extremely high. In many ways, the resort delivered beautifully and clearly stands out compared to its local competition — especially in terms of à la carte dining, spacious villas, and overall service culture aligned with European five-star standards. What truly IMPRESSED us: Outstanding food quality. Whether Asian, Indian, or international cuisine — every dish was executed with confidence and precision. Not a single disappointment during our stay. Excellent complaint handling. Any feedback we shared was addressed immediately and professionally. The team genuinely went the extra mile to ensure we left happy. Warm and attentive staff throughout the entire resort. Service felt authentic and proactive. Very smooth check-in and check-out experience, and we appreciated the granted late check-out. Great laundry and pressing service. A special thank you to Hesham and Masoud in the restaurant for their attentive service, and to Ali at the beach, who managed operations largely on his own and still remained incredibly kind and committed. Areas where there is room for IMPROVEMENT: The villas, while spacious and beautiful in concept, are slowly showing signs of wear and tear. A refurbishment will likely be needed in the coming years to maintain top luxury standards. Housekeeping lacked attention to detail at times (amenities misplaced, laundry bags not replaced, and on departure day the room service was started but left unfinished). WiFi was unfortunately unreliable in the villa, restaurant, lobby, and beach area. Beach service was clearly understaffed during our stay, which made the call button system ineffective. Evening restaurant service was very friendly but at times felt slightly undertrained compared to true European fine-dining standards. Overall, however, we had a wonderful stay. The resort offers great value for money , and we would definitely consider coming back.

This is a lovely Red Sea resort. Our greeting and check-in was courteous and efficient and there was no attempt to sell us on excursions or activities. We were fortunate to have a beach-front suite. It was very very spacious with a large bathroom that included a sunken tub. We used the secluded open space at the back where we could sit in the sun and be out of the wind. The sandy beach is private and guarded and the staff do a good job of keeping it clean. You can order meals and drinks on the beach. Swimming from the beach is not great - it''s rocky and there seemed to be only a small area that was safe to swim. But the swimming pool is large with lovely views across the sea - and enough room not to feel crowded. Meals were great. There are a couple of restaurants plus a buffet for dinner. The quality of the buffet was outstanding and often included a barbeque. The breakfast buffet was equally good. My only gripe is the hotel allows smoking in the rather small bar. It's a shame that the hotel allows a few to spoil it for the majority, especially as there are children around. But I must give a shoutout to Mr. Maher in the bar who gave us a most interesting introduction to Egyptian wine.

First and foremost, Ahmed, Maher and Chef Pappu made every effort to make us feel very welcome and enjoy our stay. Their hospitality was second to none. The property, while in need of some much needed upgrade / investment (management team please listen to your general manager), is situated on a gorgeous beachfront location (especially if you enjoy snorkelling). The rooms are spacious, though in need of an upgrade. Without the required upgrade / investment I’d question if it remains worthy of the Oberoi brand. However, the hospitality and food made our stay wonderful.

It was hard not to give it a 5 since the resort is beautiful and the staff was excellent. However, some of the fixtures are showing their wear. The toilet kept banging for a few minutes every time we flushed it. The crew did come to try to fix it, and it helped for a flush or two but resorted back to making noise. ||The food is really good at the resort and I appreciate the variety of cuisines. The paneer is quite fresh and the Thai curry is well seasoned.
