The Oberoi Cecil, Shimla

Had the pleasure of staying a few nights here last month. A superb hotel, beautiful rooms, great location but what elevated the experience was the truly exceptional staff from the doormen who could not have been friendlier or more courteous on the many occasions I nipped out for a cigarette, the desk staff were so welcoming. the food was out of this world and the waiting staff so professional particulary Nix and his helpers Amhad and Peragati. Top marks to all a credit to the company

This was our second stay at the Oberoi Cecil and just like that, it was deja vu hospitality at its best! ||||Shimla is a second home for us and the wonderful team led by the lovely GM, Swati, didn't disappoint in ensuring we received the best comforts, away from our home! From the stay to the dining, everything was picture perfect. I honestly felt it was an extension of my life back home as everything was taken care of - my diet preferences, fitness requirements, holiday shopping - everything!||||I have to call out the little things that made this stat extra special, and this is because of an extra observant and diligent staff on board. From placing a cleaner spray for my laptop cleaning, to a bookmark on my holiday read, they made sure I missed nothing, just as they did. The lounge and restaurant were my favorites where I got a chance to experiment with my palette and, of course, stick to my detox drinks and bites. ||||Special shoutout to Aman from housekeeping, Aman, Yatin, Rohit and Akash from the restaurant/ lounge , and of course Chef Rajkumar Bhatia and Chef Rajiv (for the motuh watering Almond cupcakes and Rum balls) who took care of all my requests galore! You guys are the real backone of the hotel. Cheers!

Very nice hotel, it's a heritage property built by the British for their royals and generals. Their staff is polite, food is great with large portion sizes, overall property is nice and clean. It has a cozy environment. Lighting in the room is bit wanting from my taste but every thing else was great.

This was our second stay at Cecil and what more can I say except it was a perfect 10! ||||A big thank you to Chef Rajkumar Bhatia and Raghav because of whom the trip came together, to Chef Rajiv for treating us to the lovely Rum balls he prepared, to the staff that took such exceptional care of us - you are the real backbone of the hotel.||||Special mention to the wonderful GM, Swati for her leading a great team at the hotel.

A beautifully located luxury hotel with superb service. The dining is a wonderful culinary experience thanks to Chef Bhatia and the restaurant team. A delightful eclectic international menu crafted from fresh ingredients. Everyone from reception, house keeping, restaurant, bar and pool were were good and made our stay memorable.

I was consistently impressed by the warm, attentive hospitality and spotlessly clean, elegant rooms, add to the luxurious experience, while the location near Mall Road is perfect for exploring Shimla. With excellent food and a welcoming ambiance, the Oberoi Cecil truly makes for a memorable and delightful stay. The parking ground in front of the hotel is and huge advantage.
